Location, look, comfort, business centre
High prices for phone calls, some cleanliness issues in the bathroom
Good room size, well positioned in old town.
Bath room was black and lacked proper ventilation, a/c noisy. wifi very slow and mobile reception in room poor.
They are very attentive to the guests need and problems. Excellent service. I would recommend it without hesitation to any anyone.
Air conditioning in the room very noisy and not very efficient. Needed better and more car parking facility, at least allow the guests to be able to book a space in advance.
Swimming pool, friendly staff, excellent room, great location
Internet difficult to access. New code every day and convoluted access system. Make this simpler because it's VERY important. Very expensive. Poor balconies.
The hotel was very clean and nicely decorated with a very really nice roof top pool with fantastic views of the rock and sea. Good food and friendly staff. We will be going back to the hotel again.
Our evening meal was excellent.
The receptionist was unfriendly and uninterested. The bar staff were in attentive to us. The bathroom ceiling was too low and the sink too high. The total cost of 12 hours in this hotel was exhorbitant. It seems they are profiting from a lack of competition on the rock.
on the whole the staff, who were under pressure, were great especially Lynn on reception and Eva for service
the swimming pool left much to be desired not least the lack of shade
Fantastic location, lovely room, very friendly staff. Breakfast was great, fantastic views from my room and the restaurant.
Needs more beach chairs at the pool and I had numerous problems each day with my room swipe card so had to go to reception a number of times to have it reprogrammed.
Staff were helpful nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic view of the Rock. Location fantastic central to everything. Tea facilities perfect. Breakfast good choice.
There is nothing I didn't like
Bed was very comfortable, good size room. Bar was very reasonable for a hotel bar.
WIFI was expensive when most hotels now offer free WIFI. The breakfast was okay but nothing spectacular.
Good supply of tea and coffee in the room..Pleasant reception staff.
This is not a 4 star hotel, but charges 4 star prices.£2-80 for half a pint of John smiths beer.50 yards down the road in the cafes on Main st you could get a pint for £3-15.The room was not cleaned properly,on the day that I moved in there were 2 small pieces ot paper under the desk in my room, they were still there 7 days later when I left.,there were patches of paint missing off the wall ,dried out water marks on a picture on the wall.In the bathroom there were styrene tiles on the ceiling,on these were 3 large black circular dried out water stains.I think the furniture in the rooms and the downstairs reception came out of the Ark.The whole place including the decor needs dragging into the 21st century.I am not talking without the book,I have stayed in hotels all over the world.
Staff were helpful when they were needed. Food was good in the restaurant. If a mistake was made, It was rectified quickly. Rooms were quite well equipped and as long as you can put up with the noise from the aircon, it is quite cool.
Having to pay for wifi just seems greedy. Not being properly entered into the system and having new arrivals enter my room when I was undressed, then finding out my key no longer works. The gym is not at all what I was led to believe it to be. Noisy air conditioning unit in the room.
Allowed into my room when it was made up earlier than check in time.staff very friendly restaurant manager remembered my name which was a nice touch
Could have made more of the sunbathing area, I was on business but has some time to relax. More beds and perhaps the snack bar could have been open
Well proportioned rooms with all that we require. The parking was a good point in a place where there is little convenient parking. My wife was particularly impressed by a gift of chocolates presented to her on arrival.
We were disappointed with the restaurant the food served the night we dined in.
Very helpful staff, free wifi, big rooms
Wifi code changed everyday, no fridge in room
Desk staff superb
friendly staff, good location, comfortable rooms
poor housekeeping, shampoo etc not replenished. pool bar not open. no free wifi
Hotel feels run down and neefs an overhaul..due to 5 power cuts over the week had yo use emergency stairway that was judt basic conrete stairway with tools, boxes and rubbish in them. Swimming alot smaller than it appears in photos and "solarium" Above pool area has only a dozen or do loungers with no shade and these are reserved by peoples towels etc..would not use again
Menu in pool bar, needs best choice of meals. Have weak heart and no one available to take my case to room. Breakfast too expensive and for the price of the room, should have been included. Would have made a better package and endeared the visitor to the hotel without feeling that they were forever getting out their wallet
Convenient location -nice music in lounge
Horrible smell from bathroom extractor fan - smelt like sewers - when in action
Everything was fantastic, we coul not ask for more, service was outstanding,
The location and swimming pool area. The Veradah Bar was very pleasant too.
I had a lumpy bed and there was no fridge in the room. Quite surprising as this is not a cheap hotel to stay at.
Everything you expect from a 4 star hotel plus amazing views of the rock. Would recommend to all my friends & family !
Slow service-- it took 40 minutes for a bar snack to arrive, and only after a polite enquiry after 25 minutes. No drinking water in the gym--the water fountain did not work. I only discovered this after my workout.
