The location was good.
The food was good however it arrived luke warm when eating in the bar area, breakfast was also luke warm ie bacon sausage scrambled egg. served in the restaurant.
Loved the room, its size and balcony. Loved the nice clean bathroom. The bed was so so comfy. The handy safe. The Great location. The roof top terrace is breathtakingly beautiful. The booking was very short notice as my other accommodation was not adequate, but the staff were very helpful, offering to look after luggage etc. The bar is lovely especially when the pianist is playing. Would most defiantly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!!!
The cost of breakfast. £15
The location of the hotel was good, and the rooms were silent and comfortable.
The staff is not as polite as you would expect in a 4 star hotel
The reception were efficient and accommodating, with the rooms comfortable and well proportioned. Tea and coffee were available and we even went down to reception for extra milk for those lazy mornings. Altogether, very enjoyable and located right in the heart of Gibraltar.
Light switch was on the panel by the main door rather than the bathroom entrance which led to minor confusion during the night, but that was about it.
The staff and the location.
Rather pricey, but it is Gibraltar and not La Linea de la Concepcion.
The houseeeper, kind and efficient
-WiFi no working, some Mr Saad tried to blame me, then my device, and finally when I told him that half an hour before I had been enjoying normally WiFi at a local reastaurant his answer was that he could not help me. -No TV cable, I had only three news and two sports channels, plus two other poorly programmed channels. If I wanted to watch films I had to pay £20 every 24 hours. -There was mildew on a wall inside the closet. -The shower drain was blocked, the housekeeper send immediately a handyman who solved it. -The furniture looks somehow worned out. -At arrival I paid in CASH for the full stay, but as later on I was disatisfied and wanted to check out, the refund money was, against my will, deposited in my bank account.
The location is very convenient. Just near the Main Street with lots of restaurant nearby.
Ideal location for the hub of Gibraltar
Location, and the girl on reception immediately changed my room to one with bath, which I had hoped for.. Originally they gave me a shower.
Worst aspect was remain of someones opinion of the hotel left in the toilet bowl. Quite shocking really. Secondly the quality of tv was awful. 4 fuzzy stations with terrible 1950's reception. Maybe slimline, but so was chance of enjoying some tv. Heating machine was very noisy, and it was a case of either not freezing, or not sleeping. £130 for a Sunday night when hotel looked quite empty, and that was room only. Real audacity was a bowl of small water bottles on reception counter marked "water to go £1" for a bottle which must have been about 25p in a shop. What a nerve.
Very central location.
Very poor TV picture quality, and very limited choice of channels.
The people were unfailingly courteous and helpful.
Getting on the internet and staying on were tricky.
Good comfortable hotel in a very convenient location for shops and restaurants, but at the same time it is off the main street and pretty quiet.
Nothing worth mentioning
Rooms nice size and warm, comfy bed. We always ask for the third floor because I like the bathroom with a bath.(baths only on the third floor). Excellent stay.
The fact you have to pay for the wifi.... You can't even get wifi in the lobby without paying ??? In this day and age it should come as standard in the rooms and if not, you should defiantly get wifi in the lobby free of charge.
Hotel was clean and friendly good location food was superb we will be back again soon
All great no complaints
Location of hotel relevant to town centre and tourist attractions
Reservation through booking.com cost £74 more than booking direct. Direct booking £95 including breakfast, booking .com £119 no breakfast which cost £15 each=£30+£24=£74 extra which is almost double the cost of booking direct. A very expensive lesson.
Friendly helpful staff
The rooftop bistro, expensive very poor service, although the waiters were apologetic just was a bad last night to our holiday
everything, lovely staff and location - overall a great stay
a little mould in the bathroom but they outlined a refurbishment is due in the near future
hotel staff were very friendly and helpful
Location of the hotel, and the friendliness of the staff.
This must be the most complicated wifi in the world to connect to , and then once you get connected, it very often didn't work. I am an IT consultant, and it defeated me several times, and had to ask the reception, then I still could not get any connection on my MacBook 1 - Suggestion - do away with Vda Group and just get a free easy to use broadband. If I was travelling on Business again this would stop me from booking this hotel.
I liked the overall appearance of the hotel. The staff were helpful and cheerful. Only had breakfast so cannot proprly judge the food.
Staff and food very good and hotel in ideal position for exploring Gib, particularly in November.
Restaurant very good. However may have eaten there more if the menu changed a little more and such changes better advised. In room notes! I may be a little old fashioned but the brochure/web shows table cloths, at night that would raise the quality of the dinning experience.
The breakfast was fantastic,great choice.
Ideal location for Main Street
Walls very thin between rooms. TV reception very poor
The has combined it's World charm with modern facilities and are second to none
The ambience of the hotel was very relaxing and inviting. The reception staff were very courteous and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was varied and plentiful so very good value for money.
One lift ws out of action so this slowed things up a bit - we were on 2nd floor so didn't mind using stairs. The dining room was small so became very crowded at breakfast. Hence the catering staff were not able to keep up with attending to those who were dining (had to ask twice for tea etc).
