There are numerous activities to enjoy in Gibraltar.
There are numerous activities to enjoy in Gibraltar. It is steeped in history spanning over 300 years with a significant military presence over the last 100 years.
Main Street has a Miriad of shops many of which are duty free with a specialisation in Jewellery, spirits and tobacco and many electronic shops which are extremely reasonably priced.
Some great beaches, public transport system and fantastic sight to be seen and a most impressive environmental protection area on upper rock with some fantastic sights across the Gibraltar straights to Morocco, Spain and the Mediterranean.

We live in Spain so to visit a British territory travelling a short distance by bus, stay in a very comfortable hotel was a pleasant experience and most enjoyable.
The hotel including the food was excellent but we ate in one of the town pubs and restaurants near the harbour which provided a variety of different dishes.
Gib.is a clean, historical place with plenty of green spaces and parks.
As we are of the older age bracket we did find the steep gradients and busy roads a little difficult but there is a reliable bus service and taxis available and we expected both problems with it being a small, rocky territory so it would not deter us from returning.
Overall an excellent experience and a visit well worth making.

Gibraltar is small in size , and a keen walker like myself was able to cover almost the whole area on foot . Because of the time of year , the day trips to Morocco and Spain were not running . I did mean to travel to both , but as it was a "last minute" trip I didn't check on their availability . I visited many places of interest , and would definitely recommend taking the cable car up to the top of the rock . Set off early , and combine the nature reserve entry on your ticket . Try to do as much as you can on the one day . It works out far cheaper that way .
Where to start.... Location was perfect, right in the heart of the town. The room has a fabulous kitchinette, great for warm croissants or a nice cuppa. The bathroom is lovely and clean, plenty of towels. The room has lots of space and a decent sized TV. Has 2 fans too which were appreciated.
So onto the host. She was simply 5 star. Gave us lots of tips, restaurants and bars and places to go. That really put the cherry on the cake.
If your looking for a great value place to stay in the heart of Gib well congratulations you have found it!

first time in the Elliot hotel was very good really great hotel very clean and modern very helpful friendly staff the room was lovely modern bed very comfortable rooftop terrace with pool and loungers and table and chairs with good views of the city it was situated in the middle of town so easy to walk everywhere definitely be satiating here again on next visit
An old fashioned spacious hotel . Gibraltar is like stepping back in time and the hotel fitted in perfectly with this feeling of civility and peace and quiet. The room was very clean and well equipped with no need to call for anything to be done. The breakfasts and other dining were first class whilst the view from the terrace was breathtaking
lovely hotel with super views over the bay of Gibraltar , we arrived early and we were given our room straight away . Antonio on reception was very helpful .
rooms are quite large super comfy beds spacious bathroom too , good bar service & excellent breakfast we left feeling refreshed & will definitely return
The location is ideal (although nothing is far in Gibraltar!) I thought it was excellent value for money. The pool at the hotel is great, limited sun beds but could always get a chair to relax in the sun. The room was clean & absolutely fine for our needs - air con & TV with really good Sky movie channels
Very nice apartment with great facilities. The balcony is very large and great for a few drinks. Rooftop spa/pools way better than what you’d normally get at a hotel. Good location for bars and restaurants but easy to get around to visit other places around Gibraltar.
it's going to be a really nice place to stay when construction work in front of it will be finished ( it will take a while). we rented a master suite, it was unique. beautiful views of marina and Gibraltar rock.
The location was great. The bus stop in front of the hotel was sufficient to get you around Gibraltar. The lounge area was nice and cool after a long sight seeing day. The food was not to bad for certain dishes.
Excellent studio apartment with all modern amenities provided. 10-15 mins walk from town centre, Ocean Village marina and Gibraltar airport.
Host was very professional and provided some excellent advice etc.
This was a hassle s I am not from Gibraltar. It was supposed to be a thirty minute walk but the streets are not properly labeled. It took me like two hours to find the place and I still was lost going back.
Site was excellent, 1 block off Main Street, aadjancent to Anglican Catheral. Also, given age of Hotel clearly marked on maps and public transportation network which added getting around.
Good location and enjoyed the terrace looking out on Gibraltar. Clean and modern with an excellent shower. Kitchen was well appointed although we did not use those facilities.
lovely hotel! the best on gibroltar. everything is clean and modern. very polite staff. took us by car to check-in. simple miracle! we'll be back for sure!
