The hotel was perfect, the pool area and food was great. It was also very clean, the housekeepers were incredibly friendly and so were all the staff I met. I would recommend this hotel to anyone if they visit platanias.

Staff was nice and friendly especially reception staff, and they have upgraded our room for two nights to deluxe suite due to not being able to come on the day of booking so really nice gesture! Breakfast was really good, you were able to choose from lots of different meal options and every day was slightly different. Beach from the hotel was okay sandy/city beach. Proximity to nice beaches with car is really good as Falasarna is only 40 minutes away by car, Balos is also close if you want to find tours with ship etc.

We returned from staying in the Marika hotel last week. Firstly it lovely and clean. The staff are very polite and helpful. The rooms are modern and spacious. Its in an excellent location on the seafront & also surrounded by restaurants, shops, doctors, car hires, bus stops etc! We had bed and breakfast and the breakfast buffet had a good variety including cereals, breads, eggs, meat, fruits, spreads, cakes. Not as lavish as other hotel breakfasts but there was something for everyone and it was nice to have something to set us up for the day.

Good family oriented resort with lots of eating options from casual to more formal, international to traditional Cretan, close to visit Chania on an excellent bus service. Platanias has a main road running through the street with hundreds of great restaurants and tourists shops, along with many mini supermarkets. Platanias has a beach with calm water and a shaley beach.

Busy main road, but many apartments off side roads. Good Greek bars and restaurants, which I prefer. Although lots of modern bars and shops if you want. Couple of dancing bars, not if your face, no nightclubs which is good. Restaurants serving tradition food - Nisos (by sea), Sonos (by sea). Drosia (side road). Great cocktails and drinks at Utopia, great staff, more Greek like.

Was just ok, the rooms are clean but the furniture is old and the towels stained. Breakfast was good but the same every day, the beach in front not so clean and full of little stones. The employes war friendly, specially the cleaning ladies. The garden was well cared of, lots of flowers and trees.

The apartment itself was new, sparkling clean, very nicely furnished and decorated and it had everything we needed. I never had such a fully equipped kitchen in any of my stays. Dimitra was very attentive and also left for us fruits, bread, water, and many other things! The bed was very comfortable, with lots of pillows for a good night's sleep. The location is very good, close to shops and tavernas. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Crete. Thank you for everything!!!AndreeaRomania

The rooms are spacious and clean. One very nice detail is that you can flush your toilet paper, which sounds trivial, but is a precious luxury on the island of Crete. Dimitris, the manager, is always friendly, accommodating and fun. He can often be found manning the pool bar, where you can order a nice tosti, salad or gyros plate. I will definitely come back here.

That made it very easy for us, We didn’t need to search for parking space as they have their own place outside the hotel. The apartment was very nice. The bed was good and we loved the balcony 😊

Good place for those who want to coock on their own - there is herb garden that You can use. Also, parking place. Very good base for trips all around western Crete. Host is also extremly friendly.
