Amazing. When I backpacked thru Greece for a month in college from Germany, I stayed in cheap places and looked longingly on opulent hotels with beachfront views. Now, 38 years later, I was able to return to Greece and the Corfu Palace Hotel was a high point of our trip. The location is amazing, w/ panoramic views of the Bay, Corfu Strait, the Albanian mountains, and the Old Fortress. The views are spectacular from the breakfast room, pool, and each room with a private balcony! Plus, the hotel is an easy walk from the Old Fortress and Old City and countless restaurants and shops. The breakfasts were delicious, with a combo of Greek and western dishes. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive, and Thomas in the breakfast room was our favorite! The rooms were spacious and the ambiance amazing!

Loved the lanes that were full of restaurants bars and shops. A vibrant town. The harbour has beautiful views and the Old Fort is worth the climb to see another spectacular view of Corfu Town. Be aware the larger shops close early on a Saturday and not open on a Sunday so if you are self catering make sure you ahve your supplies. Very easy to walk around the town. We eat at a number of different restaurants and would grade them from good to very good. Can be busy when the cruise ships are in.

Corfu was amazing, and my family members who went too all...
Corfu was amazing, and my family members who went too all agree. The Corfu Palace Hotel was a highlight, with great views, breakfasts, and location. We especially enjoyed climbing to the top of the Old Fortress and walking around the Old Town. We went to 2 beaches, Glythia and Porto Timoni, and if we had brought an international drivers license, we could have driven to the Porto Timoni, b/c we had to pay 200 Euros for a taxi to and from. One of my highlights was taking the ferry to Saranda, Albania. For over 40 years, Albania was "the North Korea of Europe," one of the world's most isolated nations with a harsh communist dictatorship. Now, one can travel there freely and from Corfu it was easy. We enjoyed the English worship service on Mother's Day at the Holy Trinity Church. If we had had more time, would have gone to the New Fortress and the Mon Repos palace and Mouse Island. Maybe on a future trip!

A stunning city with its own unique charm and character.
A stunning city with its own unique charm and character. Easily walkable both for the Old Town and its waterfront. Exceptional places to visit, especially the Old Fortress. Places that provide either wonderful views or just time to chill. A perfect location for a few nights stay.

Old Town lovely to mooch around with many retail and dining options. Both forts are impressive structures but a bit lacking in information and museum exhibits - very reasonably priced. Highly recommend Listons for coffee and lightmeals.

It is good to have a few days time.
It is good to have a few days time. Though one might be able to see most attractions in a day or two, it feels much nicer to take the time to roam through the atmospheric streets and see where one ends up and what is personally relevant at the time. It might be nice to visit the town market in the early morning hours; skip a breakfast in one's hotel and instead have breakfast in a coffee shop and sit between the locals; walk in non touristy areas and take time to make contact with sellers, like the wonderful owner of the religious gift shop 'Thomas', close to St. Spiridon church.
Take time for a siesta in the hottest hours of the day and start refreshed for an afternoon excursion to one of the recommended attractions, followed by a splendid dinner in one of the many restaurants in the narrow alleys of the town, accompanied by the songs of swallows.
We certainly come back, as there are still many things to discover and town and people deserve your interest and appreciation.
Lovely architecture, clean streets, classy cafes and restaurants. Fairly noisy, but seemed to switch off at midnight which was great. Massive choice and variety of cuisine. Modern, efficient local and island-wide buses. English spoken everywhere, and everyone was welcoming and friendly. Highlight - Apothiki for mezzes and fabulous local folk music at the weekend.
Higly recommend this place if you are staying in Corfu town. We met Eleni when we arrived, she is such a nice, warm and welcoming host. She gave us suggestions on so many cool places (where to eat, beaches, other interesting stuff...) on the island. Every place from the list we checked was amazing. The location is just perfect, at walkable distance from everything you want to see and taste in Corfu city. Apt is very clean, cozy and comfortable. My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our stay and will definitelly come back again.
I couldn’t be happier with our choice of accommodation. The apartment is located in the best possible location, close to everything, and all rooms are overlooking the most charming San Giacomo Square. I could not stop taking pictures from the windows. The apartment itself is spacious, clean, bright, comfortable, and has everything you would need. The beds are very comfortable, including the extra bed we used. The owners are super nice and helpful. I fell in love with their place! Whoever chooses to stay there will be lucky.
Carpofoli is probably the best place you could expect to stay in Corfu Town. The accommodation is perfect and beautiful in every way. We spent our honeymoon here, and it could not have been better. The private courtyard and plunge pool was an excellent and unexpected addition, and our host Lucy was the best host we have ever experienced. She could not have been more helpful, informative, and a genuinely lovely person. We can't recommend this place highly enough. We would live here if we could afford it !
We ordered this hotel as cheap all inclusive holiday - from this point of view it was fantastic choice. Hotel is smaller and older, rooms are small and some things are not in the best conditions - like broken showerhead or squeeky bed, but everthing was clean and the stuff were always pleasant and helpfull. Meals (all inclusive) were in good standart. Twice a week there were greek or mexico cuisine dinners. Sundbeds around the pool were always available and path to the beach took 5 minutes.
The hotel is located near the center(old town of Corfu) which has the best and most café and wine bars of the island. Most known, beautiful and reachable beaches(Palaiokastritsa, Glifada) are approximately 20 min away by car. Also 1 min away from the hotel is located maybe the best restaurant that I have ever eaten meat in Greece, its name is Paprica(quite cheap and quality food). I definitely recommend Folies Hotel for this price range. Totally worth it.
Friendly staff, they gave us tips where to find nice greek food around the hotel and what to see and do in the Corfu Town. We stayed one night, since we were in Albania and our flight to home departed early morning from Corfu. The location of the hotel is closed to the airport (we walked to there in 25 minutes) and the port. From the centrum, is 35 minutes walking but you can easily get a bus a few meters from the hotel.
The hotel was perfectly situated for exploring the old town and the many interesting around Corfu Town. plus it was close to the port.
They didn’t push the restaurant on us, but the weather that night decided for us to eat there. Thank God we did, the food was amazing. One of the top 3 meals I’ve eaten in Greece, and I’ve lived there a while. The breakfast was just a good.
Oh; and try the cocktails! They’re awesome 👍
Sunset Hotel was the ideal choice for our last night in Corfu. With an early flight the next morning, it’s proximity to Corfu Town made for an enjoyable last day of exploring the city and a quick 15 minute ride to the airport in the morning to catch our flight. Our room was clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and a cute balcony with ample seating. The staff were friendly and helpful with arranging taxis.
Very professional staff. The location is really great in the real centre of Corfù. The Rooftop terrace is one of the best in town.. Overall a good hotel so I can recommend it; you pay for the location but the interiors probably require some refurbishment, as it is all a bit old.
The location was really good, you can walk from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the city centre; there are also buses along the road. The room was big and enjoyed having a balcony with a sea view. Breakfast was quite good. Staff was very nice and helpful!
Decent value for money, it's possibly the cheapest large hotel in Corfu town.
It is located close to the port and near a bus stop for buses going north, so a convenient location if you plan to stay in Corfu town but travel around the island or go on boat trips.
The view is fantastic and it's right in the city center, so it'a the best location for getting around easily. The hotel is kind of old, but very clean. Breakfast was pretty good and the room was nice and spacious enough. We had a good stay here for 2 nights.
The apartment was in a perfect location in Corfu town, right in the middle of the narrow pedestrian streets but was still very quiet inside. The place was completely spotless and very spacious. Lastly, the host was so nice, accommodating, and communicative.
Great location, right by the Harbor, which is in my opinion the best location in Corfu Town. It’s right next to shops and restaurants. I had a nice sized room with a balcony and a great Harbor view. AC worked well. Staff was friendly. Hotel has an elevator.
The apartment is located beautifully with amazing view on the Old Town. The place was perfectly cleaned and very well equipped (like a 5 star hotel, no joke). The owner is very lovely and amazing person!
Clean, comfortable and quiet. Really nice oasis, just steps from some of the best places in Corfu Town. The Garden was pleasant for morning coffee or a nightcap.
Amazing owner. Excellent Greece apartment. Free fruits, water, juice and food - better than 5 stars hotel.
