Four days on the beach and I feel more drained than when I arrived. There is no corner to hide away from tourism and although it's beautiful water and breathtaking view, you can't completely detach because of the planes arriving and departing every half hour and people trying to strip you down for every penny in your pocket.

From travelling around Santorini we found Kamari to be the best part of the island. It is clean, has lovely restaurants and shops and whilst the beach is pebbly there are free sun lounges with a beautiful view out to sea. We hired a car and it was easy and free to park it near by. We would also recommend the Atlantis museum and the open air cinema.

A very neat promenade with a number of nicely decorated restaurants. However, when you go deeper inland, it is not arranged like that. The beach is better towards the big rock, because it has a better access to the sea.

The location is ok-ish as you have the beach (Kamari) nearby and some hikes that start a few hundreds of meters away from the property (e.g. Ancient Thira). There’s also a bus that can get you to Fira. There are also plenty of supermarkets, restaurants and even a great coffee shop and bakery at walking distance from the property. You’ll find street parking nearby and can perform self check in and check out which is convenient.
We didn’t like the facilities that much and the cleanliness. We found ants around the bed and didn’t get the room cleaned even when we asked for it. We left the “clean room sign” on the door and all we got were new towels.

It really is a good location.
It really is a good location. You do NOT want to be in Thira - just too busy.
Lots of restaurants and bars to choose from along the seafront.
Small compact little town with a bus service that seems to get well used. Bus stop is just up the road from the Hotel. Service is regular to other parts of the island. Do not drive unless you are competent and confident. They are nutters. Roads are not really adequate for a scooter - that's why we chose a quad bike. You need to be early or late into Thira because when the cruise ships disgorge their human cargo you get swept along with the tide - not good. It can get really hot during the day so suncream and hat and water a MUST.
What a find! A family-run hotel with real heart! The proprietors treated guests like family and provided everything we asked for. The hotel is really spacious too, with a bigger pool and grounds than most in the area, to relax and enjoy. Moments from the beach, cafes and shops, it is perfectly positioned to have a great time in Kamari. We stayed in a few places in Santorini and this was the best! It is also close enough to explore other parts of the island whilst staying in Kamari which is more relaxed, cooler and calmer that places like Fira.
Really glad we stayed in Kamari, much less crowded than Oía and Fira. Location of hotel conveniently situation in the town and fairly quiet. Enjoyed having a nice breakfast each morning with freshly squeezed orange juice, yoghurt, and other tasty foods, plus time to get to know the owner, Vangelis, and chat about the island of Santorini and things to do there. I also really enjoyed riding a bicycle around the town that Vangelis let me borrow. Thank you Vangelis for your kindness and hospitality.
We had a late night flight, so we rented this room on our last day so we could store our luggage and shower before our flight. We also chose this hotel because it gave us access to beach towels and beach beds, and we just wanted a nice relaxing beach day on our last day. The price was really fair for all that we wanted and it met our expectations for all of these things. We also enjoyed checking out this side of Santorini.
Hermes Hotel is in an excellent location and a short few minute walk to beach where there are loads of bars and restaurants to choose from. The hotel is super clean and we had daily maid service.
The staff are fantastic - nothing is too much for them and always helpful and very friendly - the friendliness of all the staff everywhere in Santorini is one thing that stood out for me. Stunning island.
This lovely and super clean family run hotel is worth while staying in. They all were very helpful, breakfast was partly home made and delicious. We had some good swims in their pool. Hotel is close to the airport, beach, various lunch/dining places. Bus stops are in short walking distance, one nearly next to the hotel. We would warmly recommend Alkyon Hotel to anyone visiting Santorini.
Very clean and spacious room (family room), ideal for a family of 4 (2 kids). Nice balcony as well. Good breakfast and great location, close to the beach and inumerous dining options, from simple/casual to more sophisticated. Staff was very friendly and helpful, special thanks to Eva, who helped us with the transfers and tours booking. Overall, excellent choice when staying in Santorini
We needed a getaway from work and we decided on Santorini island. We decided on Afroditi Venus Hotel and we are so glad we did! When we checked in we were given some information about the island. Our room was great with spectacular view! The staff was incredible from the front door to the beach service topnotch! We will definitely be back to stay and highly recommend.
Great resort located in Kamari village in Santorini, with amazing view to the Ancient Thira hills, our room was great super spotless and with nice modern and new furniture and the employees who works in it, was truly kind and nice. The beach access was easy and the hotel's restaurant made delicious breakfast and meals. Definitely I will be back for more days.

The staff was very nice and helpful and they gave us a bottle of wine upon arrival. The room was quiet and cleaned daily. Even if the beaches in Santorini are not the best, we received towels and we could stay at the pool all day long.
I recommend this location if you want a quiet place, is ideal for families.
great hotel! the staff was always nice and welcoming, they helped us with everything we needed to make our stay in santorini perfect.
the room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast is excellent right next to the beach!
the location was great in Kamari because it was in the center but not too loud.
The staff was friendly and helpful. They took time to tell us about all the places we could visit in Santorini. They also helped us to arrange travel from accommodation to airport. The room was nice with balcony and it was clean. The accomodation is near Kamari beach and bus stop is also near.
Our hosts was incredibly sweet and cheerful. We have some delicious homemade pastry every morning. They give us good advise for what to do and eat in Santorini. Room was clean and lovely. Hotel is very close to beach. We would like to come again in the next opportunity.
Clean and enough space for family of 4. Close to Kamari town and restaurants. Very friendly staff. I lost my wallet on the plane on the way to Santorini she took the time to call the airline see if they can find it on the plane. Super helpful and nice. Love our time
Great location in quieter more relaxed area of Santorini, free beach beds, large breakfast, staff were so friendly and helpful. Pool area was great to unwind and on the strip of kamari so many places to eat/ drink.
Location was the best, everything was nearby. Personal was very friendly, breakfast was nice, as well. During next trip to Santorini, I'll definitely will choose the Poseidon Beach Hotel for stay.
Beautiful hotel close to Kamari beach. Loved the pool area, had a really relaxing stay here. Staff were so helpful. Would recommend for stay in Santorini away from the crowds of Fira & Oia.
The staff were very helpful. They were accommodating for some requests from us. All the places in Santorini are very much accessible by bus. Totally enjoyed the stay.
Breakfast was very good and the staff at the breakfast area was warm and kind.
The hotel was very near to Kamari beach, which is a beautiful beach of Santorini.
