It was such a pleasant surprise how beautifully designed this hotel is, very friendly, extremely clean and very welcoming. This place made our stay so magical. The location is amazing and right next to it you will find the best restaurant in Crete Kalderimi, seriously best food, and this all sits in a little charming street just a few meters away from the beach and the old port of Chania. One thing to do add, super surprised that this hotel is a two star hotel, I have been in quite a few 5 stars and this place certainly delivers very comfortable service.

Situated on the west part of Crete, the city of Chania is the second largest in this beautiful Greek island. Featuring rich history, breathtaking architecture and pristine beaches, Chania will take you to a fascinating journey through time.

Chania is so beautiful. Narrow streets with shops and traditional places. It is a romantic city with the old town and port making the scenery breathtaking. A lot of options of restaurants, great traditional food. The people are very hospitable and kind. I will definitely visit again.

Very picturesque (old harbour and streets off) Kept very clean with frequent rubbish collections. No itinerant street vendors. Restaurants mainly traditional greek + italian no persistent "hustling" to partake. Varied selection of shops from tourist to top end. Traffic free around harbour. Boat trips and horse and carriage tours from harbour side. Several museums to visit nearby all walkable, though the new archeological museum is a good hike along the coast. Note that the famous covered market is not functional at the time of writing (no roof) and whist it is a impressive building, not much is happening construction wise.

The town still has charm and character.
The town still has charm and character. There are lots of delicious restaurants, and if you look around it doesn’t have to be expensive.
It was beginning to get busy by mid June, too many people for me. So earlier or later would be better .
There are quite a few artists, workshops which are worth visiting. Crafts need to be kept alive .

It is very picturesque and easy to walk around.
It is very picturesque and easy to walk around. A vast selection of restaurants. They are quite pricy compared with other parts of the island like Hersonnisus where we were staying for longer. Parking overnight was also expensive - £25. However I felt that the car was safe and secure and they were very helpful at finding you a place to park. Many of the restaurants only wanted cash. A charming port and a great place to people watch and chill.

In the past couple of years Chania has become VERY crowded.
In the past couple of years Chania has become VERY crowded. I would say to avoid it completely in July and August. Along with more tourism there are more shops selling junky souvenirs not from Greece. But we persisted and found some lovely high-quality things made in Greece. We rented a car but I wouldn't bother again as it's so congested and hard to park when you return from a day trip.
We loved the restaurant Salis along the waterfront and went twice. A store called Haris Cotton sells nice quality linen clothes. The tiny folklore museum was interesting. We did a walking tour of the artisans of Chania and it was good.

Crete is a must island to visit! Chania Town is beautiful. If you are ever in Crete you should also visit Iracleio, Knossos, Ayios Nicolaos, Spinalogga, Rethymo, Arkadi monestary, Elafonisi, Balos, and Falassarna.
Staying at The Tanneries was the best way to end our stay in Greece. The facility is gorgeous and the view of the water from our room was stunning. The beds were incredibly comfortable and I loved that we had both a spa tub and a steam shower in our room. The staff went above and beyond during our stay -- setting up an incredible boat trip to small beaches on the south side of the island, packing breakfasts for us when we had to leave before the dining room opened -- and we loved chatting with Sylvia about her favorite parts of Crete!
The people! The people! The people!
The staff went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed every corner of Crete with their personal experience as natives to Crete. My biggest joy was sharing my experience with Manos to a place or restaurant he recommended. When I come back and tell him how great it was, his excitement seemed as if my happiness was his reward. I’m not really planning on going back to Crete, I’m planning on going back to see Manos, Maroof, Catarina and Miss Kitty and her adorable cat. Ifcalistu Amphitrie Hotel!
I had a very pleasant stay at Hyperion Hotel in Chania, Crete. The hotel is quite new, and the bedroom was spacious and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, contributing to a restful sleep. The staff were very nice and accommodating, even allowing us to use the locker rooms to change after we checked out before heading to the airport. The hotel's location is great, close to a local beach, which is convenient for a quick swim in the ocean. Overall, it’s a pretty good hotel with excellent amenities and service.
My room truly had the best view of the harbor in Old Town Chania! My little porch looked out over everything and it was especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset and I could see the lighthouse perfectly too! The room itself was lovely, comfortable, and relaxing! And the staff was so wonderful and friendly, and I truly appreciated them working with me with my odd times of an early arrival and leaving early as well in the morning. They helped me arrange a taxi right to the door for my early departure! Thank you!!😊
We loved our comfortable room, beautiful view and awesome AC. The three sisters who run the hotel with their father make it feel like home! They helped us plan our day excursions, ordered Dominos to our room when we were too tired to move after hiking the Samaria Gorge, and even offered a laundry service for free. It was a lovely 20 minute walk into the old town along the coast, but there were also plenty of amazing seafood restaurants right outside the door. One of our favorite stays in Greece!
From the moment you step into the hotel, the staff put you at ease. Elia and Elina were absolutely wonderful hosts - welcoming, accommodating and went above and beyond. Elia looked after us in the hotel and gave great tips on restaurants. Elina served an amazing breakfast and was so accommodating to whatever we felt like. The owner of the hotel would do well to make sure both are paid well. The room was clean and classy and the location was great. Best hotel of our stay in Crete.
The location was great, right in front of the beach. Cleanliness was superb with towels changed everyday.
The jacuzzi on the terrace was a bonus but could be perfect if the walls of the terrace were made of glass instead of concrete to enable a perfect view even when you're in the jacuzzi.
The hotel was so kind to allow us to stay in our room till we departed for the airport in the evening with a nominal fee of 30 euros. They even provided a cost free transfer to the airport.
We had a wonderful stay at the Konmari Boutique Suites. It was conveniently located in old town Chania in a quiet part and was minutes away from the harbor - the highlight being the jacuzzi in the basement. The hostess was very warm and helped us settle in and explain all the amenities and tips for good Restaurants in the area. The taxi service to and from the airport was also very well organized including a day trip to Elafonisi beach. Really recommended for a family stay !
Congratulations to the owners of this hotel for how everything is managed at this place l. The hotel is very clean. The staff that works at the reception and at breakfast were all very kind. The location is close to the beautiful area of Chania, also only 4 minutes walking from the bus station where you can get buses to the airport and all the different cities in Crete. I will return to this hotel and recommend it 100% for a great stay. Loved everything, thank you.
Great location in central Chania just outside of the old town but easy short 5 min walk to everything you'd want to see and explore. Staff was amazing and helped recommend beaches and thing to do and see while in Chania and Crete. Rooms were large and quiet with everything we needed in making our stay perfect. Parking was on-site which was perfect also not having to find parking. Highly recommend this location and would stay again!
What we loved about the room is the cleanliness, the host and as well the staff are friendly and very helpful in need.
The hotel is new and it has everything you need and it is located in the best possible place of Chania where you can find everything you need in a walking distance.
It’s one of the best places we’ve stayed in Crete/Chania
We thank Spiros for hosting us and making our stay comfortable.
We loved everything about this small hotel. The location in old town was great for walking along the harbor and visiting shops. A taxi was able to drop us very close. The hostess, Thomais, had great suggest for restaurants. She helped line up a tour of Samaria Gorge. And she prepared a huge breakfast of bread, cheese, yogurt, honey and fresh-squeezed orange juice. We would highly recommend it.
This place is in a great location in old town, right near a square with many restaurants and a free concert on our last night there. Walking distance to the beach, bus station and everything you need. Dimitris provided a lot of recommendations on what to do in Chania and Crete which was very helpful!
Lovely host, she gave us the best recommendations for eating out and made us feel very welcome indeed. Very nice to sit on the balcony and observe the flowers and famous cats of Crete in neighbouring gardens. Surprisingly quiet considering the location in the old town.
Probably the best hotel in Chania. The rooms were excellent and the staff was amazing. A beautiful view of the harbour. The staff has a lot of knowledge of the city (and the rest of Crete), and they are always happy to share that with you. We’re definitely coming back!
The hotel is a modern structure with a lovely swimming pool and terrace where a super breakfast is served. The staff is super friendly (like everywhere in Crete). A free electric (!!) bus drives you to the center of town (where parking is difficult).
Stylish and sleek hotel within a walking distance from restaurants and the old town. Our room was comfortable, clean and had a spectacular view of the sea. The staff were warm, friendly and provided great tips for going around Crete.
Excellent staff! You will be in good hands. Great breakfast and coffee. The location is a walking distance from the old town.
We stayed here as it was easy to explore Chania and top beaches on the Crete (1-2 hrs away)
I felt better here than in a 4 star hotel. I am glad that we chose the apartment at Meryland. Maria was the best!!! I will recommend this place to anyone who wants to spend their holidays in Crete!!
Located on a walking street in old town, a few meters away from the harbour. Many restaurants at your doorstep. Hotel has just 3 rooms. Complimentary coffee and tea.
