Between Fira and oia so very quiet. Realistically an outskirt of Fira So not for families or people wanting a bustling town. Fira is bustling crowded and good for a budget holiday. Oia is prettier more stylish and probably should be the first choice unless you like isolation eg honeymoon. Must say Oia during the day is as bad as any famous European destination since there are lines of over an hour to even take a picturesque photograph. About 25 minutes drive from the port. Close to Fira and not a crowded spot like Fira. Other places like Oia are easily reachable by car. A good choice if you want to avoid the bustle. it was the most charming place centered in a perfect location. It was quiet but with access to wonderful resturaunts, those above the resorts on the streets like Four Seasons or The Avacado were amazing. The workers at Sophia were knowlegeable and so helpful. The community buses are clean, beautiful and convenient and the jile to Oia wS stunning. the walk to Fira the capital of santorini was also lovely. The wineries the shopping the ruins...it has it all. I cant say enough about the people at sophia and how fabulous the breakfasts are. We were always pleasantly surprised by the grace of the people and the quality of the resort. It is important to be iphysically able and somewhat in shape to manage the stairs and access the room. This os what makes the place so magical and so calm.

If it’s possible, I’ll give them a million star rating!!! It’s customer delight at its finest. Their customer service is top notch. Few days before my trip, there were some changes about their facilities. I was contacted and informed in advance. They offered to upgrade my suite to another hotel, which they did. Their patience , prompt response, professionalism and customer service far exceeded my expectations. I will highly recommend them and won't hesitate to book this suite for my next holidays in Santorini. Beyond the obvious -- views from Oia, sunset over the sea -- we urge everyone to visit the amazing archeological site at Akrotiri and the Museum of Prehistoric Thera (in Fira) which houses many of the objects found at the Akrotiri site. If history and archeology interest you at all, these sites are not to be missed! (Ignore travel guide indications that Akrotiri is only open in the summer -- that is not true!) Also, visit the lovely little town of Pyrgos if you have time. We were able to travel in the off-season which meant that many stores and restaurants across the island were closed but it also meant that we totally avoided the infamous crowds.

It was a short walk to the busy commercial Street in Fira. It was a classic cave house, which was a perfect fit for our Greece trip. George the manager could not have been a better host. He was always available, helped with our baggage, helped with reservations at restaurants, and gave great advice for our days on the island. We plan on returning as soon as possible. Vaggelis the host in 30 minutes when we arrived while checking in, explained to us where and when to go to all the main attractions in santorini, plus all the good restaurants, plus the catamaran excursion he proposed to us was exceptional!! The hotel is in the centre of everywhere, clean pool, parking, and in a very quiet area. With quad we had 10 minutes to OIA and 7 minutes to FIRA. I recomnend it 100%.
