Nice city, definitely suitable for a holiday. The center near the port is beautiful, well-kept. Around the road to the port there are many options to satisfy your thirst and hunger. It's a nice little town with a marina, newly updated...
It's a nice little town with a marina, newly updated boardwalk with a nice splash pad for kids and a beautiful park. There's some great wellness hotels in the area, which is the main attraction for us. There's also a party beach for the younger crowd in season. Siofok is also a great spot to hop on a boat and visit Tihany across the pond, or just go for a leisure boat ride. We only stayed for 2 nights but Siofok is a lovely little town with some very sea-sidey vibes. The town itself had everything we needed and the lakeside had some nice areas and "a sea-front" feel. The property is in the centre but you can park your car at the back of the hotel for a small fee per day. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from, and even more within a short walk into the town itself. We choose to go slightly before the 'holiday' season starts and can imagine it could get quite lively at peak times. The room was perfect for a couple and had everything you needed for a home from home experience. The only thing that would have made it outstanding would have been to have a washing machine so I could have packed fewer clothes to bring more souvenirs back 😆. But seriously, it was perfect.
