Dublin is still Dublin. The mix of Irish culture, music, people who welcome you like old friends, and the city's architecture and history are fascinating and addictive. The weather is obviously the downside if you are not used to and ready to handle the sudden changes between rain and sun, wind and low temperatures. The cost of hotel for service recieved. you would do well to look at the Farnham Arms Hotel in Cavan a much more rounded experience of welcome and value. If you fail to see the difference then your not trying hard enough. A welcome is always accompanied with a smile a breakfast also. Kind words and a genuine interest in your customer is all part of the experience. Beautiful, lively city with a great choice of cultural attractions (we went to the National Gallery of Ireland and a concert at the NCH. Both wonderful.) Plenty of pubs cafes and restaurants enhanced our experience of the city. We also enjoyed the park, Trinity College and generally walking around. Hoping to return.

The Guinness storehouse was a crowd favourite! I’m not a beer drinker but I loved it! Everywhere we tried had awesome pub food and great culture/all busy with live music mid week. We visited some very beautiful parks which was also a highlight

To be honest, I was quiet disapointed. Crowded centre full of tourists, junkies, homeless and immigrants. Palestine flag on every corner. I didn't feel safe in the evening, not even in the side streets. We lived in the centre, so we didn't need any public transport (traffic jam every afternoon). Nice parks (St Stephens Green) and museums. Great pubs with kind local staff.KarelCzech Republic
