We didn't spend much time in Letterkenny other than for dinner. We ate at the Yellow Pepper which i would highly recommend. It's a robust town that i would have liked to explore and the surrounding area but we were on our way to another area of Donegal. We cabbed to dinner so we were able to have a few glasses of wine with dinner. Cabs were easy to get just outside the bank. Quick ride home with good service. Traffic during rush hour was busy although not as busy as a larger city.

Just used it as a base, plus it was a bank holiday and shops were all closed. So left in the morning and didn’t come back until evening. But it was a busy town traffic wise. 3.30 in the morning and traffic was still driving down the Main Street. Could see it but noise wise we couldn’t hear it.

I want to the hotel for a small one nite break but now think it was too short, 2 or more nites wud be more beneficial, the hotel staff were very helpful, the food in the restaurant was 1st class as cud not fault it, the facilities where brilliant as the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi was a bliss just relaxing and no cares, next time 2 or more days as can be used as a base and travel around, 5/5 for me 👍

Letterkenny is a sprawl and would avoid other than to go to a couple the restaurants.
But it’s easily bypassed and there are wonderful scenic drives awaiting. Fanad peninsula - Malin Head for example.

There was a lot more to do in the town than I had initially thought. Good retail shops in the retail park and in the town centre. Cathedral is worth a visit. It is a good centre to stay at for exploring mid to northwest Donegal county. Marble Hill strand, Bloody Foreland and Downings are not too far by car. Camille Thai restaurant was very good value - just on edge of the Retail park past Aldi.

Had a great two days in Letterkenny plenty of shops and a good variety of shops to spend your money. Great places to eat and drink may I say but my only complaint is that you can't get anything to eat before 13.30 on a Sunday .
❗️DO NOT BOOK TO STAY AT THIS PROPERTY❗️
Arrived at the accommodation- door locked and no access from the back. Rang the owner multiple times to which he didn’t answer. We then had to book a hotel costing us a further €200. Another couple arrived and also couldn’t get in or get in contact with the owner. We were left standing on the side of the street with all of our luggage.
This man is a fraud and scammer and I will be taking this further In order to get our money back!!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
The staff were excellent. All very friendly and efficient. Orla was on reception when we arrived and she was excellent. She went above and beyond our expectations making us feel welcome and really made our stay an exceptionally pleasant one. Food was very good quality and reasonable price. Beds were really comfy and the whole hotel was spotless. Located a short drive outside of Letterkenny, but hotel has everything you wold need for short stay. Would highly recommend this venue.
The little Irish bar directly across the road was amazing and cheap drink too.
the food in the hotel itself was great, carbanara we got one portion would be enough for 2.
The swimming pool was great.
The morning breakfast was plentyful lots of options but the fry was nothing to be desired. All the staff for breakfast were foreign and were probably the only thing that brightened up our unfortunate stay. Everyone of them smiling helpful and pleasant.
enjoyed our stay at mount errigal hotel. arrived before check in time, it was no problem to check in early, which was great. Reception staff friendly and informative. we did not use the leisure facilities that are available in the hotel. We had an evening meal in the bar, food very good. we did not have breakfast, there are tea and coffee making facilities in the room.. the room was spacious, comfortable and warm.
The property has everything you could ask for, including a restaurant, bar, and spa. The food at the restaurant was exceptional, one of the best places we ate on our trip around Ireland. The bartender, Sean, was a delight and very accommodating. The interior of the estate is breathtaking and I felt like I was in a movie. I am already planning on revisiting in the future!
An old fashioned country home that now serves as a hotel. The rooms were all different and the furniture seemed to be authenticly vintage. Our bathroom seemed to be a modern addition and was well appointed. Breakfast was fabulous and well worth including in a visit. Everything was made to order and was delicious.
Staff was lovely nothing was ever a problem for any of them. If u had any problems they sorted it right away. Station house hotel is very clean and friendly atmosphere. We stayed for 4 nights and wish our stay had of being longer. Next time in letterkenny we will definitely be back
A beautiful, luxurious hotel. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Meals were delicious. One of the best breakfasts we have had at a hotel. The waitress at breakfast was exceptional. If you are visiting Donegal, this is definitely the place to stay!
Had a fantastic stay at dillons hotel.the staff are so friendly and welcoming..cannot fault this hotel one but' fantastic food in hotel and very reasonable.will definitely go back here .never slept in a more comfortable bed also 10/10
The hotel is very central but our room wasn't noisy. The room was a nice size and clean. The breakfast was good. We also ate dinner at the hotel and later they had several musicians who played and sang Irish songs. Parking was free.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, it really felt like visiting a family. The hotel was very nice and clean. I also want to make a remark that the mattress and pillows were excellent, and the breakfast was delicious.
Our hosts were amazing and friendly. The apartment had everything you could need from breakfast items to hair dryer. The view was amazing, we sat on the deck and Maria ran us out cushions and blankets. A lovely place to stay!
Hotels location is perfect. On the main street with parking just behind hotel for 5 euro a night. Hotel clean, warm and very inviting. Staff lovely and helpful. Food excellent in the hotel. Look forward to another stay😀
Location was great, right on the main street. Free parking was a bonus. The staff were super friendly, especially Cathal in the Warehouse Bar & Kitchen inside the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here.
Receptionist at check-in was very nice and welcoming. Room was spacious. We ate in the restaurant and the food and service was excellent. Hotel in general is nice and spacious
