Fantastic view, garden and very authentic and design feel
Modica town is quaint and has lots to offer to the tourist.
Modica town is quaint and has lots to offer to the tourist. It can best be explored on foot though you will need a car to go from Modica alta to the lower area of Modica. Modica has many churches and eateries as well as shops and the narrow streets are fascinating and always offering lovely surprises. It is a hilly town so not ideal for the elderly tourst to get around unless they get a taxi

Very nice city split in two parts, Modica alta(hill) and modica bassa(old town), long corso for nice promenade for shopping and eating, many old interesting buildings and monuments, turistic train running around the city, defintely 1-2 night to spend worth it.

Modica is a very interesting town.
Modica is a very interesting town. For older people the steps and steep roads and streets might be challenging. The green tourist “train” gave a good overview of the histoic centre of the old town. Modica is famous for its chocolate - tours need to be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

Modica is so unique.
Modica is so unique. Our first view of the steep hillside of buildings took our breath away. Our phones weren't helping us get there so we drove down from the alto section to the bottom through the town. That was amazing. Just looking up at different times of the day are worth the experience.

Unfortunately we visited Modica on a rainy day so our experience was dampened a little. It looked like it was full of historical interest and of course it's famous for its chocolate if you like their style of chocolate!
We found Ragusa Ibla more enjoyable.

Modica was the perfect Baroque city to locate in to explore the other cities and the beach. The location to bus station and train station was convenient to do daytime exploring. The city had a good mix of tourist stuff and regular people shops and restaurants.
Mostly I cooked in my apartment but I took day trips every day.
Best B&B in Sicily during my month long trip. Spectacular view from the terrace, windows and balconies. Spacious house that would serve a big family or group of friends. They have thought of everything from extra dishes for dining on the terrace to a well equiped kitchen and a variety of comfortable seating for chatting or reading a novel. Every room is bathed in a copious wifi river and sweet Adriana offers many tips for things to do in town. She even picked me up and dropped me off at the train station.
This was a lovely stone house in the cute town of Frigintini, near Modica and Ragusa. It served as a great base to the whole southwest part of Sicily. The house was very clean and comfortable, with a well stocked kitchen, a comfy living room, two nice bedrooms with comfortable beds, a nice bathroom and a lovely, large outside terrace that overlooked a large field. The washing machine was great to have too. The owners were great to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!
It was our favorite appartement in Sicily. It was extremely spacious. The view from the balcony was very impressive. The appartement is located in a quiet street the center of the old town (you only hear church bells in the morning). The furniture and decoration of the appartment is elegant and aligns with the charakter of the old house. The shower is great! The host welcomed us at the train station and brought us directly in front of the house by car!
This Villa is amazing! It’s very spacious (could easily accommodate six), comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen, separate dining room, terrace and access to a lovely garden with olive, orange and lemon trees and herbs. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The location is excellent if you have a car — 10 minutes to the old citY of Modica and 20 minutes to Ragusa and Scikli. There are supermarkets nearby. We would love to stay there again.
Giovanni was in constant touch with us on WhatsApp regarding the arrival procedure. He met us on site and helped us move in. Explained the sight-seeing in Modica and nearby towns. Giovanni then showed us where to park our car for free for 2 nights. The apartment is very clean, well equipped and really cool during the warm weather. It is close to the main sights. Best value for money in our 12 day stay in Sicily
The Modica Boutique Hotel is a great hotel. I loved the modern design and the fact that parking was free. Breakfast was a highlight with fresh juice and great tasting homemade ice cream/sorbet. The rooms were spacious, beds were comfy, and I liked the tiled floors. The bathroom was good too – good water pressure made for a nice shower. Overall, it's a stylish and cozy place to stay.
Thoughtfully and beautifully furnished and equipped apartment with everything I could ask for and my generous host provided so many extras met lovely helpful locals in a friendly neighbourhood and I could almost touch Santa Giorgio from the balcony. What a view. It was a thrill. Thanks Fabrizio and modica an incredible city and highlight of Sicily for me. Debra McLean
Very good hotel located a little out of Modica - by the railway so perfect if you like trains. The public areas are train-themed but the rooms aren't - just big, comfortable, well-designed and quiet. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of free parking. About a 10-15 minute walk into town, which wasn't a problem for us. All the staff were helpful and friendly.
Our room was very spacious, clean, and very very nice looking.
Position is also great as it as at walking distance from every attraction of Modica, but also close to the way out of the city, and in a street with enough parking possibilities.
Breakfast was given at a different location, known as one of the best bakeries in Sicily.
The staff was exceptional with Lorenzo providing service and help at the highest level. The hotel is beautifully designed, and the Bistrot provides wonderful breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The location is convenient for
travel into the historic center and on SS115 towards our next destination.
WE had a perfect stay in this place. The owner ist so charming and helpful, she Made even sure WE try the best sweets in town- thanks again! The breakfast in the nearby latteria was the best during our whole stay in sicily, WE will miss it!
Beautiful property. Located perfectly in the heart of historic Modica. Go down to the Concurso to shop and eat. Go up to the Castle and sites. The veranda overlooks the downtown. Grab a bottle of wine and sit there in the evening.
Amazing house, perfectly located and equipped with everything you might need.
The house has been thoughtfully renovated, still maintaining its old charm.
We loved dining in the garden overlooking Modica.
Great hotel, well located with a nice view. The owners are very friendly and considerate, and made check-in and out easy. Breakfast in the garden, with local and garden ingredients, was our favorite part!
I have eaten the best brioche during my stay in Sicily. The host's daughter understands English. that makes everithing easier when you don't speak Italian. The staff is helpful and friendly.
Everything was great about this place! Wonderful host, beautiful views, great location for walking into the main area of Modica. We enjoyed our stay here!
