A 16-minute walk from Pantanello beach in Avola, GARIBALDI MAISON DE CHARME provides accommodations with access to spa facilities. A hot tub and a car rental service are available for guests.
Avola is a pleasant town. There is plenty to see near by that can be reached by bus or car, Syracuse and Noto being the highlights.
We hired a small boat from the harbour with a skipper and had the most a fabulous day out!

Avola is a nice town near the sea: famous for its almonds, honey and wine, it has some baroque feeling to it, though not as much as Scicli for instance. It is a near-perfect base to visit Syracusae, the beaches of Noto or the town of Modica: all within reach from 20 minutes to 1 hour, but it can also be a relaxing place in itself. A recommendation would be to visit "Bar Pasticceria Mangiafico" in town, that since 1972 delivers quality in pastries and sicilian street food!
On the side of warnings, it needs to be said that the old town has very narrow roads, and getting around by car requires some driving skills.

In future I would stay in Noto or another city in Sicily

Avola seems like a ghost town in peak summer times
No good restaurants, no bars and nothing seems to be happening.
All the shops seemed closed once you got off the beach. Luckily I had a car so I could drive to neighbouring cities

Difficult with a car. Narrow matrix of streets.
Difficult with a car. Narrow matrix of streets. Needs Google maps and a navigator even to get to Centro storico. Easier on seafront. More space , more facilities. Seawater beautifully clean, beaches safe.

Avola isn't the prettiest town, though it does have its nice parts, but it is the perfect base to explore south east Sicily. The beaches are decent, there are plenty of nice places to eat and the access is good.
We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Pantanello Rooms. The room was modern and spacious with a great sea view. The hydrotherapy shower was wonderful as well! Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. There's a lovely sandy beach opposite, with a brilliant beach bar serving coffees, cocktails and lunches. There was also a lifeguard on duty.
Avola was a pleasant location. Not too touristy but enough bars and restaurants to offer some choice. Restaurants are 10 minutes' walk in either direction along the sea front.
Valentina was a wonderful host! Great communication and amazing care of her guests, providing an extremely rich breakfast, also including fresh croissants of choice from local bakery, and suggestions about attractions to visit around Avola. The room was clean and comfortable, parking was easy on the street. It was a really pleasant stay. Strongly recommended!
Nice, modern and clean room in a small B&B in the very center of Avola, hence a super convenient location to move both in town and in the surrounding region. Hosts were very nice and friendly, breakfast was great and tailor made (they asked us specifically what we preferred and prepared us exactly this). We will definitely be back if we are in the area.
The property is very clean, with nice rooms. It is surrounded by a quite, green environment, where you can enjoy nice walks by the pool, among lemons trees, and also a way down to the beach. Yet, it is still very close to facilities such as supermarkets, being close to Avola. The breakfast was amazing, and the staff super friendly and welcoming.
everything, the accommodation was scenic set into the side of mountains and was a perfect getaway for relaxing and been left alone. The staff despite the language barrier were always on hand to help, they were so friendly and patient and the food was a true vision of Sicily. We were welcomed instantly and the pool was a perfect suntrap.
The hotel was beautiful, well kept and spotlessly clean. The pool and cabanas were perfect for us as a young family.
We had a family room which was spacious, with two double bedrooms and a bathroom. The wardrobes even came equipped with child hangers. I felt that a great amount of thought had gone into every part of our stay.
Uncomplicated, clean and great breakfast 😁
I first went here to rent a car, and that was fine, was very last minute. And when we went to the hotel, we saw how clean it o
Looked and smelled and Maria at the desk was very nice, so when we wanted a beachside hotel later, we directly booked this, and did not regret it 😁
The apartment was very comfortable. It was in the walking distance from the shops, restaurants, the bus stop etc. The walk to the beach was a bit long, and the streets were busy. I thought the resort town should be quieter. But Avola is a rather busy working town. The people are lovely, and the beaches are superb.
Good looking house with clean pool and big yard. secure parking. on the end of Avola, but pretty far from beaches . we use as a base to see Noto, Ragusa, Siracusa, Catania and best beaches like San Lorenzo and Vendicari Reserve. Nice host, didn’t speak english, but positive and helpful.
Nice place, beautiful nature, fantastic sea, very authentic little hotel in the middle of an old but live farm with olive gardens.
Helpful and attentive staff. Nice clean rooms in a vintage farmhouse.
We've got what we expected: peaceful week in a kind of heaven.
Very nice and very clean family apartment with little private garden. Nice host, who lives just next door. 20 min walk to the nice sandy beach. 30-40 min walk to Avola city center and stores. Ideal for families. Host green attitude, garbage sorting. Fast internet.
The concept and location of the hotel. It is a small, approximately 20 rooms, and looked like a family run business. Everyone was very welcoming. Breakfast and leisure areas (swimming pool) were not crowded which allowed our break to be very relaxed.
Nice and big villa next to the sea. Comfortable, spacious and clean room, good variety of breakfast. Good spot to explore busy Sirakusa, Noto, Ragusa or to spend time in beautiful Avola and come back to villa for a quality rest.
Everything, in particular the great hospitality of the staff of the structure, the clean of room e good breakfast every morning.
And Giusy helps and advises you for tours in the beautiful cities and fabulous beaches of Sicily
Perfect holiday home in the center of Avola on a quiet street. Clean, bright, comfortable, with nice balcony and all the necessary amenities. Corrada is a great host. Thank you!
Big house with all facilities.
Good and calm location in beautifull city of Avola. The owner was very nice and helps us with everithing we needed.
Thank you!
good location close to Noto, Avola and Siracusa, facilities, breakfast and advices provided by the host either for sightseeing or local restaurants to try
