FAQs about hotels in Florence

An Italian Masterpiece

Best-known for the stunning Duomo, Florence is full of amazing buildings and its historic centre. The Ponte Vecchio, a 14th-century bridge holding a multitude of shops on its edges is a stunning example and provides a truly unforgettable view.

Dig into more of the city’s historical past at the Basilica of Santa Croce, a Franciscan church full of great artwork and the burial place of Italian greats: Michelangelo and Galileo. The Uffizi Gallery is one of the world’s finest art museums and the Pitti Palace is not far behind.

For great dining, the Santa Croce district has countless options and the unique lampredotto is Florentine fast-food with a 1000-year old history. Many consider the local gelato, Italian ice-cream, to be the best in the world.

The beauty and flavours of Florence are just a 15-minute train ride from the Amerigo Vespucci International Airport. Whether you’re looking for a room with a view at a cosy B&B, a luxury hotel or an intimate guesthouse, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Florence adventure.

We have visited Florence 4 or 5 times, always with our dog.

We have visited Florence 4 or 5 times, always with our dog. Although the temperature was 40° and even 42° on one day, it is easy to find somewhere with a/c to escape the heat. I would recommend pre-booking tours with Get Your Guide or some such and include 'skip the line' tickets. We did an excellent 'Dark Secrets' night, walking tour. Try and find the less touristy areas across the bridges for better prices etc.

Florence is a very beautiful city however August is very hot with temperatures hitting over 40 degrees Celsius so bear this in mind. In the heat of Summer get your sightseeing done in the morning and late afternoon into the evening. Always remember to add on your City Tax which works out at 12 Euros per night (2 people) in the higher quality hotels and apartments. The City accommodates all budgets.

One of my favourite cities in Italy.

One of my favourite cities in Italy. The air smells of leather everywhere, and yes, everything in the area is pure leather! I bought a significant events bag at a very reasonable price, and I couldn't complain! Super cute! DO not forget that the Galleria di Accademia and Uffizi are also here! Leisurely walking around the city from the hotel is convenient. All the flagship stores and museums of the top Italian luxury brands are born in Florence, so it makes the experience more fabulous! Florence is the birthplace of the Renaissance and thinkers like Machiavelli, and I love that fact. Wanna see Michelangelo's David? Make Florence one of your solid destinations in Italy!

Florence is a beautiful place full of art and sculpture treasures. The Uffizzi gallery is a must visit. We had an excellent walking tour experience with the guide giving a great tour full of packed information. There are lots of great places to eat. The water fountain which gives sparkling water for free is amazing. There is a lot to see and admire in this great city.

This was our second stay in this hotel, and it was excellent. The staff, especially the Front Desk Manager, were extremely helpful and friendly. We had a small issue with our room, and they resolved it very quickly. The breakfast was fantastic, with a variety of packaged items that ensured hygiene, and it was impressively rich for Italy, including gluten-free options and high-quality branded products. The location is very close to the city center, and the hotel also offers parking and EV charging facilities, which is a great convenience.

Staff was perfectly efficient. It was very calm at night. No drunken shouting in the corridors, although the hostel was full. It was my first experience in a hostel. Mattress was hard orthopaedic - just how j like it for my back.I had a private room similar to the hotel. And I liked my stay. Breakfast was an extra 9 eur. But it was a good buffet. Scrumble omlet was nice to have before exploring Florence. Not in each 3-star hotel you can get it in Italy. Check out is at 10.00. But you can use luggage room for 3 eur per day. Convenient.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel! The bed was one of the best we've experienced during our trip in Italy. The location is fantastic—centrally located and just a short walk from the train station. The area is vibrant, with plenty of dining and café options nearby. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Without a doubt, this is a place we would love to return to! Highly recommended!

Florence is full of little hotels tucked away in side streets. This hotel was brilliant, boutique and filled with history. The moment we walked in we were greeted by the friendly staff. We had two rooms one for us adults and another for three kids. Walking distance to cafes and restaurants. We have already said that if we ever go back to Italy we will stay longer at this hotel and enjoy Florence even more.

Staff was fantastic and welcoming, we didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but it looked gorgeous. The decor was incredible and so so close to everything you need in Florence. It was our favourite part of our 8 days travelling Italy - the rooftop bar is a must, very romantic, amazing cocktails and staff with an insane view of the Duomo! We didn’t want to leave the rooftop for dinner at all it was so gorgeous
