The host is such a nice person. We was waiting for us with basic supplies for dinner and breakfast, and a plate full of fresh fruits. He likes to explain about the history of the town and the house. The place is in pristine conditions and very spacious.

The location is amazing. Overlooking the Tindari Bay in a quiet and pleasant area. Facilities are fantastic, 3 bedrooms, 3 toilets (2 with shower), large kitchen and leaving room, fantastic pool and a big garden with plenty of space to chill ans dine outsode. The closest beach, as well as the closest village, is about 3-4 minute drive from the villa, but you'll need a car as public transport is almost inexistent in this area of Italy.
Set 4.3 mi from the beaches of northern Sicily, the Rosa features a panoramic sun terrace with swimming pool. Its sea-view rooms are a 40-minute drive from Messina.

The food, both dinner and breakfast, exceeded our expectations. The view from our room was gorgeous. The nights that we were there, no weddings took place. I can see that it would be an amazing setting for a wedding and reception, but I wouldn't want to book a room while a celebration was taking place. The receptionist spoke great English and was very helpful. Small grocery store within walking distance. Quick drive to the beach.

We chartered a boat in Portorosa Marina, quite difficult to get there, since there are no buses or taxis from the train station. Be sure to arrange some pickup with local host.
Beaches are long, large, and mainly wild, without many facilities.

Tonnarella was a quiet italian seaside village with a clean beach and lovely locals. It was not touristy and a seaside place for local Sicilians where everyone knows everyone in the village . The local breakfast of granita’s , cream and brioche outstanding. ( not great for the waistline )but a great cultural experience! Portarossa nearby Port where boat hire excellent.

getting around is slightly difficult for there are no taxi service to be called on demand. My host Luca went above and beyond to help me and our group with arranging pick ups etc.. had a mishap but was quickly resolved. Closed train station, Luca sent driver back and brought me to another functioning station Barcellona which my driver went in to help purchase my tickets and carried my bags. Much love to all that made this a great trip.
Tbis is a bizarre and tired old marina that is falling apart in many places, with closed hotels and derelict housing. This apartment is well located and good if you need a temporary base near the boats.
