Best Western Hotel Fiera Verona, hotel in Verona

Hotel Fiera is near Verona’s Congress Center, a short bus ride into town, and just 3 stops to Porta Nuova Railway Station. Here you will find a choice of rooms and free parking. WiFi is free.

The room was small but had everything we needed plus a kettle (the water had a lot of calcium. we washed it with a sponge but it just accumulated again). Had a mini fridge which was good for those days when you just want to fall in bed but need to eat. It was good for keeping a couple of sandwiches cool. Which we got from the lidl next door. The room was good. Clean. The sheets were clean. The cleaning staff were careful and seemed attentive. If you are renting a car and doing day trips it is a great location not too far from the highway. We only did this one day. For a family with kids and renting a car it is perfect or for a good night rest on your way somewhere else it is perfect and good value. Close to a supermarket (lidl) and lots of parking space. For seeing verona maybe not unless it's just a one day thing.

FAQs about hotels in Verona

A Shakespearean Fairytale

A darling of Shakespeare, beautiful Verona is the literary home of Romeo and Juliet. The medieval families of Montague and Capulet immortalized in the tragic play did actually exist and some buildings relating to the Montagues are still present.

Sorry to disappoint, but the place purporting to have been Juliet's house in Verona was not actually where she lived. However, it’s still worth suspending reality for a while and stepping out onto the balcony to see if Romeo turns up.

Another of the must-see Verona sights is the Arena, a largely intact Roman amphitheater which is now the spectacular setting for outdoor summer operas. Smaller Roman relics include the stone bridge that crosses the river by the Roman theater whose remains are partly beneath a house.

The city’s narrow streets house many cafes and restaurants which have cheaper fare than the touristy ones by the Arena, although admittedly the views are less impressive. Life in Verona is laid back and elegant, so expect to see some well-heeled Italians on a post-dinner passeggiata.

Verona Airport is a little out of town, so you’ll need to take a bus to get to your Verona hotel, apartment or B&B. Book with Booking.com for the best choice.

Idea place for a short break (we stayed 4 nights which was ideal). Verona is a beautiful old city with amazing architecture, delicious food and a great relaxed atmosphere. Wander from square to square, up lovely little streets and discover Roman remains, wall paintings, churches and grand houses. Fall into coffee shops and little restaurants serving delicious food which are generally less expensive than UK. Don’t forget to cross the river and explore further afield. No need for public transport as everywhere is walkable. We also took a day to visit Lake Garda - just hop on the train and you’ll be there in 20 minutes

Visiting Verona is an immersion into an ambience that seamlessly blends history and romance. Renowned for the tale of Romeo and Juliet, it offers far more than the famed Capulet balcony. Explore the Arena of Verona, a Roman amphitheatre still used for concerts. Delight in the vibrant squares such as Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza Bra. Savour exquisite wines in the nearby Valpolicella region and indulge in the rich local cuisine. Verona is an essential destination, offering culture, history, and natural beauty at every turn.

Lovely place, like a chilled out smaller version of Rome.

Lovely place, like a chilled out smaller version of Rome. We ate and drank in most of the places at Piazza bra, all of them were equally as nice and a lovely place to sit back and enjoy, regular trips from local musicians makes it all the better. We also took a trip to Desenzano and Sirmione on Lake Garda - 20 minute train journey from Verona station which was a lovely day trip and only cost around £20 return for the 2 of us, well worth doing.

It was recommended to me and I'm so glad I went.

It was recommended to me and I'm so glad I went. It has it all in a compact city. It's historic with beautiful views and historic buildings especially the colloseum, arena, and its square. The shopping precinct off this square is great, a smaller neater version of Milan without the crowds. It's a beautiful town to walk around with wide terraces and fewer cars making it very people friendly. Who doesn't know Romeo and Juliet. If I was redoing Italy, I'd skip Rome and Milan and do Verona and Florence, so much character without the hassle of hustlers etc Give it a go

Very close to the train station. Well maintained and renovated facilities. Friendly staff. Google Maps might show a long and incorrect walk route from the station. When you get out of the station, just go to the far left of the sidewalks towards the hotel. There are both stairs and wheel chair accessible ramps towards the hotel. The bus station in front of the station is really good for travellers. The 10 Euro day pass covers the whole Verona, Garda Lake and the airport shuttle for the next day (even after the day pass expires at midnight).

The apartment was spacious, cool, and clean. The air con was wonderful in temperatures in 30's. There was comfortable furniture and beds. Rather short on chairs if there had been two couples visiting. No wine glasses in Italy? A very welcome food present for us on arrival, many thanks for that. The situation was right in the heart of Verona with wonderful old streets to walk along and magnificent opera at the arena to hear in the evenings. Good supermarkets nearby allowed us to enjoy evening meals in the cool of the apartment.

I think this is the best hotel for the traveller. They communicated very well about parking and procedures. They are just outside the traffic limit zone. They offered extra services (like packing a take-away breakfast if you had to leave early to escape the heat/crowds/join a tour or like being open to you doing your laundry (at an extra fee)). I have not seen this at any other hotel in Italy (or at least, it wasn't communicated if these services were available). The breakfast was buffet and had a great variety.

In Italy they are generally using a special system to unlock the doors via the handy, so, for the access you need the internet, but anyway it was very easy to enter the inside, both to building and the apartment. The flat is only 2 minutes walk to the Verona Arena. Nice place, nice flat. The picture is the view from the flat, an old nice but closed cinema building.
