We had a Prestige room facing the Med. It was very well appointed and comfortable. Excellent restaurant, with many local dishes. Their summer season was just starting, so we were almost alone. The room was very quiet intrinsically. But.

The archaeological site is very impressive and well worth visiting. The beach area is OK if you like sand, but quite dull. It is not too commercialised. The area inland (particularly the Cilento National Park) is beautiful and well worth a visit. Wish we had had more time to explore.

The park where the Greek ruins are situated is quite isolated, so if you are coming by public transport give yourself plenty of time to get there before dark. There is nothing much around there at night.

Paestum has an AMAZING set of well-preserved ruins, considering they were build some 2,500 years ago! We spent about 3-4 hours there (a little over an hour in the museum, and then a few more hours walking through the ruins. They were amazing to behold. The app downloaded from the museum website (Parco Archeologico di Paestum) was very helpful to learn about the ruins as we walked through them. The kids got rather tired though, so it was good to have a gelato break after leaving the ruins at the nearby cafe.

Some of the finest Greek temples in the world...in Southern Italy! Not to be missed. After time in Venice, we took the train to Bari, rented a card and (in turn) visited one day/night in: Alberobello, Matera, and Paestum. What a wonder trip. It was off-season, which just meant there were no crowds. We had a wonderful time! After Paestum we continued to the Amalfi coast, Pompeii and then to Rome.

Paestum is a fascinating historical site.
Paestum is a fascinating historical site. It has been well preserved and is well worth exploring. The archeological park is well maintained and easy to see in about four hours. The adjacent museum is very new, with an interesting collection of artifacts found in the park. The shops and restaurants lining the roads along the park boundary are fairly typical tourist focused businesses. One exception is the “Museum Cafe”, closest to the museum. It has excellent gelato, and even has babas.

The ruins are spread over a very large area and consist of mainly low stone walls but with three large temples still intact. The museum is a wonderful building of marble faced walls & pillars exhibiting many excellent paintings on the recovered stone slabs from the ruins plus jewellry and pottery. Very fine work and gives such a good idea of the lives of the inhabitants and what they admired.
The entrance fee also covers the ruin complex and is a much reduced price for EU citizens.
The modern town is just that and has various usual amenities.
Absolutely everything! Staff was so awesome. Desk clerk arranged reservation for us at Lido Mediterranean, which by the way,was also excellent service. We chose one of the apartments across the court yard because we wanted the extra room. Very clean and was perfect for us. If you want luxury book inside hotel. We would book apartment again😀
Breakfast was top notch with waiters standing waiting to help you. I don’t know how anyone could find anything to complain about here❤️
This was my second time to stay in Savoy Paestum and it was great, same as the previous holiday. The room was overlooking the driveway this time, but it was quiet. Keep in mind that rooms on the first floor that are looking at the driveway, might be a bit dark, so try to get one on the 2nd floor. Breakfast is delicious as always with a local selection. The Beach club is amazing. Only Michelin-star restaurant has some complex booking rules so I gave up going there this time.
The room and the bathroom are very functional and beautifully decorated. In fact, the whole hotel is in very good taste. The dinner was great and made with local ingredients. Davide and his mother, who is a great cook, are very friendly and helpful. We have been to many places in Italy and have met many friendly hosts, but Davide tops them all. Very convenient parking. We highly recommend this place.
This wonderful hotel is in the midst of a family estate with olive and pomegranate trees- quiet and peaceful but just a short walk away from the Greek Temples and a vibrant street of restaurants. The lovely rooms look out on a courtyard and cars are parked in the old horse stables. there was a lavish and delicious homemade breakfast- our best of the trip. The owners were so welcoming! It is perfect!
Fabio is an exceptional host, very attentive to any needs and questions about the surrounding area. Everything you needed for a continental breakfast was provided for and there is are pizzerias and a pharmacy within walking distance. This is a 1 bedroom house with 2 more single beds in the living room. Very pleasant and close to the museum and archeological site of Paestum.
the hotel is beautiful, exactly like the pictures, the stuff are welcoming and always willing to help, the private beach is clean and has everything you need, the rooms are large enough and got a nice atmosphere, the breakfast buffet is amazing and full of everything you need, the price per night is well worth the money
Great location for traveling without a car. Helpful and friendly staff. Restaurants and historic Paestum were easily accessible by foot. Train station walkable but taxi was easily available within a few minutes of a call by the hotel manager. Comfy bed.
Excellent location, right on a beautiful beach with clear waters.
Free underground parking under the hotel. The rooms are comfortable even if in some the decor is rather dark and could do with updating. Good choice at breakfast.
Everyhing was excellent. A beautiful, modern and elegant hotel we can highly recommend. While many other accommodation on our trip in italy had a misleading rating, this was a welcome positive surprise.
Beautiful setting near the Archeological Parc of Paestum
Very nice hosts couldn’t be more helpful
Restaurant excellent
Beautiful gardens and swimming pool area
.5 km from Paestum and 1 km from beach
Perfect location, perfect owner, very clean. Nearby is a pizzeria with delicious pizza and affordable prices and of course PESTUM ARCHEOLOGICAL PARK - fantastica.
