Each room is individually designed. I stayed in "Iron," which had its own private balcony. Everything was super clean and modern. Nice touches like espresso machine with pods and hot water kettle with variety of teas. Expansive sack and drink selection in room. Very comfy beds. Large, well-lit bathroom. Responsive and friendly staff. They offer a city card that gives you free access to local busses/trams and some museum discounts. Great breakfast, too. Will definitely be staying here again.

Merano is a wonderful city with lots of opportunities for fine walks - easy up to challenging. The environment is Mediterranean beautiful with lots of nice flowers everywhere and breath-taking views to the mountains around Merano.
Especially beautiful is a trip to the gardens of Castle Trautmannsdorf - which we visited already the second time.
Even on Sundays it was easy to buy food in open supermarkets for breakfast. In the evening it easy to find beautiful and stylish restaurants with excellent kitchen.
We also enjoyed our ride to Village Tyrol and the trip up to Hochmuth.

Merano was great, however it was marred by our accommodation which was underneath another apartment undergoing constant noisy renovations, and we had to check out two days early with no refund from our unhospitable host.

The tourist season in the city is mainly between April and November, so some restaurants/bars are open for limited time, but this is specific to the city as a whole. But still there are a huge number of stores that are open and having sales.
The city is very charming and beautifully situated. Typical for rest and light physical activity.

Merano is an amazing place with an incredible Spa, especially if you take advantage of the sauna area. Countless good restaurants available everywhere you look. The botanical garden at Trauttmansdorff is well worth a visit; allow enough time to enjoy it properly. Meran2000 is a must do for outdoorsy people. It's a bit upscale. Lots of fancy shops and stores. You can go swimming in the river upstream aways there's a swimming hole that can be seen from the Torre delle Polveri. Go to the Forst Biergarten restaurant. It was so good I ate there three times.
Excellent location and amazing space in the centre of Merano; step outside and you were straight into the main shopping streets and only a minute to walk to the Christmas markets, local restaurants and the Thermal Spa. Amazing welcome from Thomas ands team, beau
tiful breakfast spread and dedicated service throughout our stay including free passes for local museums and transport and thoughtful, honest recommendations about activities in the area. I would stay here again and no reservations about recommending this to stay in Merano/Meran
Breakfast was very good: pastries, bread, cheese, meats, youghurts, fruits, cereal.. so something for everyone. Pool area outside looked really nice and most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. English wasn't spoken by all, but german and italian. Room was a bit old but clean and we had a balcony. It was a very quiet hotel at a walking distance from center (maybe 15-20min downhill) and a bustop was just around the corner. Bus ticket was included, but remember to ask for it. We got it on the second day.
We were given the upgraded room which is facing the apple plantation. The room is very spacious and comfortable. Rodolfo (not sure I have the correct spelling) is very welcoming and an excellent host. The restaurant chef (not sure his name) knew what we wanted and so we had our dinner at the restaurant on both nights. The property is also close to the Merano town.
Very good location, very nice room, good breakfast but mostly a very good owner. Jacqueline was incredible. She helped us with everything : parking tickets, information and even restaurant recommendation and reservation. It's a very warm person, I would always recommend her. We loved the stay in Merano also due to her.
Friendly and helpful staff (especially Giulia at the reception and Ranko at the bar/restaurant).
Lovely Classic room with balcony with all the necessary facilities.
Excellent location on the river promenade, minutes from the city centre.
Favourable arrangement with The Terme Parking across the river (€18 per day)
This is a fabulous hotel! It's family owned & operated . The rooms are beautifully appointed with balconies, luxurious bathrooms, comfortable beds, & a really good breakfast. The heated pool was a plus with beautiful views of the countryside. A very attentive & accommodating staff. Our favorite hotel!
We loved the apartment, it is spacious and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and a nice bathroom and terrace. The location is perfect, right in the center of the old city and right over a pasticceria, couldn't have been more perfect. The proprietess was extremely nice and hospitable.
The hotel is located in a very beautiful place, with amazing views over the surrounding mountains. The owner was very friendly and offered us a free upgrade. The room was very clean, spacious and after a very long trip it was the perfect fit for good relaxation. The breakfast was superb!
The hotel is conveniently located near the centre/old town. The spa facilities are superb, the staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was great and our room exceeded our expectations. For anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing retreat, this is the place to go.
Friendly reception and checkin, wonderful room, spacious bathroom, great breakfast and lunch and seamless checkout process. The hotel has a very different architecture, modelled around a former inner courtyard and each room has a separate design!
Great location and charming little apartment. Extremely helpful and accommodating host. Nice and simple facilities, including a washing machine, which was very helpful after a visit to the terme. Also close to grocery stores and restaurants.
We loved staying here for a couple of nights in Merano. The apartment was impeccably decorated with everything we needed for our stay. it was a stone’s throw from public transportation, grocery stores, bakery etc.
Great location right in the historical centre of Merano.
Our Apartment was well designed with a spacious kitchen and bathroom. All the facilities were very new and of great standard.
Nice balcony.
The hotel is good located and has a free parking. Our room had a nice outside view and a big balcony.
Friendly staff. The breakfast was in general ok, but nothing outstanding.
The apartment is spacious and very clean, has its own private parking and relatively close to the city center. The host was very helpful in check-in and with city information.
Merano is a beautiful place worth visiting. The swimmingpool was a welcome refreshment with the temperatures we had (35°). Very friendly neighboors also.
