The size of the room and bathroom were perfect. The bed was very comfortable. The balcony was so relaxing and nice to sit on. A one minute walk to the water and to a few delicious restaurants. Even though it is part of someone’s home I felt very comfortable and welcome. My host was also a huge help in figuring out transportation.

Locals were rude and often very Arrogant and attempted to overcharge far too many times. They hope you won’t challenge them about it. My advice is , Ask how much before paying and Check your receipts and bills . The town is scruffy and dirty. The vast amounts of discarded Rubbish on the streets is difficult to ignore. Definitely would not return. Positive note : The sea view and the sunset is beautiful.

Actually Frasteva is located in the town of Valverde not in...

Actually Frasteva is located in the town of Valverde not in Aci Castello, which is a short drive awa. It is more inland than Aci Castello and it is convenient to all of the towns that make up "Paesi Etnei", that is, the little towns on the southeastern slope of Mount Etna, which are suburbs of Catania. It is a great jumping off point for Taormina, Catania and Siracusa and is a twenty-five minute ride to the airport, depending on traffic. What makes this newly renovated and picturesque venue a perfect stay are the wonderful accomodations and the personal and cheery attention to detail given to all that stay there by its host, Stefania. She is simply an absolute pleasure to interact with. I am going there the next time I return to the Catania area and I assure anyone who stays there that they will not be disappointed.

Aci Trezza is beautiful...the place we stayed in is NOT!

Aci Trezza is beautiful...the place we stayed in is NOT! It had literally a derelict entrance, with wires dangling from the ceiling, parts of which appeared to be about to give in; filthy place (I was expecting to see rats it was that bad!)....It is NOT close to the beach (although the place had a seaview); I would certainly NOT recommend to anybody! Will most certainly not book again! If I were to rate it honestly I would give a 2/10 and the 2 is only for the seaview!

Very quiet place .. Small but very connected to the sea.

Very quiet place .. Small but very connected to the sea. So fish is staple. It is a bit laid back . Think basic and you will love it. It is such a shame that the towns coming down to Aci Castello (note that this town is close to sea level) have a lot of garbage scattered around and gives you a very different vibe of this beautiful basic fishing village ..

Aci Castello is a great place to stay if you want to explore...

Aci Castello is a great place to stay if you want to explore the area - the wonderful coastline up to Taormina, the great sights while trekking around Etna, and breathtaking villages like Castiglione di Sicilia. Aci Castello is smaller and quieter than its walk-to, more touristy neighbour Aci Trezzo, and 'The Sea You Can Feel' is a unique place to stay, perched high above the rocky coastline. There are stunning 360 degree views from the spacious roof terrace, a perfect place to indulge in a sundowner or two, whilst the 'lookout' below has 3 walls of windows for relaxing and taking in the amazing location! The owners, Giuseppe and Antonella are passionate about Sicily and gave us loads of useful advice.

This apartment is beautifully remodelled and equipped with everything that one may think of. The views from the terrace and the living room are gorgeous. The apartment is very comfortable for two couples since there are two well-separated bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Everything was exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated and organised to provide comfort for the guests. The hosts are very nice and communication with them was effortless and effective. They also provided excellent suggestions about restaurants and local attractions.

Great location close to the core of AciTrezza, with free parking. Great view of the Costa dei Ciclopi from apartment. I loved the gas stove. Internet was fine. Friendly and supportive hosts. Spectacular are the neighbouring towns. AciTrezza itself is a charming fishing village. AciCastello, which can be reached by foot in 20 minutes, has a nice castle and a sea terrace with relaxing cafes. Acireale is a spectacular middle-sized town with a fascinating passegiata and great shopping. Taormina is a 40 minutes ride away.

The apartement is located directly in front of the sea shore. We enjoyed the morning breakfast on the huge balcony with a view on the sea and the castle. In the premises are some bakeries, a supermarkt, restaurants, café and a fish dealer. We've met a lot of very nice and kind inhabitants of the village. The accomodation was excellent, clean, well equipped (dish washer, oven, washing machine, TV with internet connection, WLAN, etc.) The cleaning lady was very kind. We really had a wonderful time there!

The house is located somewhat hidden right on the volcanic beach in Aci Trezza. The host - Anna - is extremely kind, welcoming and helpful. The apartment has a really modern and clean feel to it with a super nice and modern kitchen and bathroom area(s). Nice garden and an invaluable secure parking for the car. Good base for visiting Etna, Taormina, Syracusa and Savoca. Beaches are rocky due to the closeness of Etna - first sandy beach is South of Syracusa about an hour drive away.

Best B & B ever. The place has simple rooms with a great outdoor area overlooking some city and the sea beyond. The owner and breakfast chef makes it a special place - he is the happiest, friendliest host we have ever had. He really enjoys his guests and attends to their needs. It is quite nice to be out of Catania in a suburb. You will want a car to explore the area anyhow. It is clean and like coming to visit your Uncle. He knows so much about Sicily!

The area is very charming and the view from the garden is exceptional. The bed is confortable and even the sofa bed in the living is pretty confortable and easy to open and close. The host are nice people, sent us some recommendations for dinning and shopping and pretty reactive when needed. The small town and beach of Aci Castello are pretty close but of course having a car is highly recommended to move around since this house is in the countryside.

Great location, close to the little marina, a bunch of superb restaurants, stores and bakeries. Small balcony with lovely view of the marina. Appartman was not too big, but very well equipped, with all the appliances one can ask for. The place is new and well maintained. Easy to find free parking on the streets nearby. Excellent communication with the host. Very responsive, with some great recommendations for local restaurants. Can only recommend.

Fantastic B&B. Gina goes the extra mile to make you feel at home. She’s friendly, flexible and giving. The breakfast is great (she bakes delicious biscotti!), the room is squeaky clean and the bed is very, very comfortable. Gina told me she changed the mattress recently, so if you read other reviews about the bed, note this is no longer an issue. I slept like a baby. The balcony was cute and the place well connected to Catania by bus.

Fabrizio was excellent in checking us in. He showed us all the details about the place. The place was spacious and the pool was nice. The best part was the private beach just minutes away, so we had a rocky beach practically to ourselves! Great location, too. Aci Costello is a nice town with some good restaurants. the people were also very friendly!

It's a super quiet and spacey place offering complete privacy. The host - Iolanda - was very friendly and gave us lots of tips. The Apartment is located approx. 3 min from the sea, 1 min. to bus stop, 1 min to shop. 20 min walk to Aci Castello castle. You can rent a pedal boat and explore the Rock of Cyclopes or go along the seaside.

Mimmo was the kindest host we have had in our many travels. He gave us the best welcome and introduction to Sicilia. Free parking right in front of the apartment. Access to a more private beach area. In close range to Catania, the Castello and Taormina. And a very nice sicilian breakfast on the terrace. Highly recommendable.
