I usually rate places but many times do not leave a full review. This place was fabulous. I’ve been traveling for weeks and this was one of my favorite stays. Sure, it’s not a modern style but for me that adds to its charm. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We had 4 pillows on the bed so you could choose which one worked best. The bathroom had a European style bathroom with shower/tub combo, bidet, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, soap, kleenex tissue and a makeup mirror. More personal care products than you typically have at most hotels in Europe. It also had bidet soap and towels. The location was amazing- close to everything. There was a “door man”, bell hop and an elevator. A lovely patio and garden were also available for use. There was a bar with reasonably priced drinks. Breakfast, if you pay, was done well. More options than you could eat. I would highly recommend this place. Oh- they will provide a pass for your car for street parking too.

A foodie heaven, affluent Modena is also a petrolhead paradise, as Italy’s most prestigious supercars are crafted in and around the city. The three-pronged Maserati logo proudly marks their Modena headquarters, while a museum in Cittanova to the west houses vintage vehicles.
Lamborghini produce their distinctive V8s in Sant’Agata Bolognese, while the most famous of them all – Ferrari – has turned the nearby town of Maranello red. The church bells even ring every time their F1 team wins!
Enzo Ferrari’s former home is now a Modena museum, while a theatre is named after another famous resident: Luciano Pavarotti. The most famous export is balsamic vinegar and Villa San Donnino offers wonderful tastings, and local tortellini and lambrusco are served up in pavement cafes and bars.
UNESCO World Heritage-listed Piazza Grande is a cobbled square part-lined with the porticoed town hall. Opposite is the 12th-century, white-marble cathedral which is overlooked by the Ghirlandina belltower.
A few streets away, stately Palazzo Ducale is home to the Italian Military Academy, but was once inhabited by the powerful Este family after they fled Ferrara. Some of their Italian art collection is displayed in the Museum Palace, alongside archaeological collections. Nearby Modena accommodation on Booking.com includes luxury hotels and cheap guest houses by the train station.

Cozy feel in the Center—cobblestones, porticos, Mercato Albinelli, Enzo Ferrari Museum, incredible food, particularly Uva d’Oro restaurant (went to dinner there twice as it was so enjoyable) and Sant’Agostino three times for late afternoon aperitivi.

This was a really lovely city with an extensive pedestrian town centre. The Duomo is a highlight, the covered market is charming (it re-opens in the evening with a variety of what seem like pop-up restaurants) and the very grand town hall was worth a visit. You are spoilt for choice for restaurants - we liked Stallo Pomodoro and Da Danilo for dinner- both had outside terraces, and for lunch, Aldina, a very traditional no frills trattoria on the first floor near the market. Blums, a prize-winning gelateria, served the best ice cream I had on this trip.

Really a treat, Modena deserves to be better known.
Really a treat, Modena deserves to be better known. A beautiful and walkable city, with magnificent food, good and variegated shops, and did I mention the magnificent food? The Galleria Estense is an excellent museum (with all information in Italian and English). Opening hours for churches are a bit intransparent (and not always kept), but the city is definitely worth a trip!

A beautiful town not overrun by tourists or tourism, with good restaurants, lovely sites, and extremely well kept buildings. It is easily walkable (no tourist cars in the center). If there was something to avoid, I could not find it.
Salotto delle Arti is a fabulous boutique hotel right in the center of old Modena. It felt like we were in a palace. We stayed in the Cacchia room. It was a wonderful stay starting with the very clear and exact instructions on how to complete our self check-in as well as a parking permit which one needs to have displayed. Benedetta the hotel owner is just delightful. She is so friendly and helpful. She gave us greet recommendations on where to eat as well as places to visit. I would definitely stay at Salotto delle Arti again.
A very simple two-star hotel and suitable for a business traveler. Not for a family or a couple. The hotel facilities exist but are simple, including a working air conditioner. The location of the hotel for a businessman is very good because of its proximity to the industrial areas and there are many restaurants around it. Simple but very good breakfast. The hotel staff, which includes two excellent, kind women, always have a good will to help. very important. There is a hotel parking lot nearby.
This hotel was terrific! Conveniently located to everything! Parking was easy and close! We were greeted warmly by the front desk upon arrival! The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable! We were recommended a great local restaurant down the street was excellent! The hotel had a breakfast that was delicious and had a full menu with eggs and fresh baked goods! We visited the Ferrari museum which was in walking distance. A super hotel that must be visited when you come to Modena!
Lucia was very helpful and told me names of all the restaurants I should go to in Modena. Unfortunately I left my cheese and Jamon which I had just bought from the market and kept it in your fridge. We both forgot so I sent her a message that she should eat it and. enjoy and that its a gift from me. She and the girl in the morning were very good and I will definitely recommend your lovely hotel to many others and will also come back as I really enjoyed Modena, albeit for a short while.
Our hosts were fantastic! Very accommodating. Gianna had great suggestions on what to see and where to eat and made every reservation for us.
In the morning she and her husband set out the most delicious buffet, better than a 5 star hotel. Although we did not speak Italian, Gianna’s English is great and we had no trouble. This B&B is a must if you are looking to stay in this area.
I loved absolutely everything about this place, especially the staff, Giacomo was our favourite and most helpful. Not only did the entire hotel reception staff help us find a covid test centre so we can continue our travels but they were the most kind and welcoming staff ever met. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Modena as it is also very close to the centre.
Great location, beautiful interiors and large living area. We loved having this wonderful space as a home base and the easy communication with the hosts was a huge bonus. They helped us navigate the ZTL and even corrected our registration when we accidentally gave them the wrong license plate information. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to lovely Modena!
The hotel is in a beautiful converted country home in the outskirts of Modena. There was great attention to detail in the layout and design. The room was spacious and the bathroom had a big walk-in shower. The highlight of our stay was the delicious breakfast with baked goods, prosciutto, parmigiano, and other treats. Would definitely stay here again!
Breakfast was nice, maybe can be more to offer but was good, all You need. The room was nice, cleaning ladies working excellent job.The receptionist was nice but they are confused little bit.Hotel has large parking wich is very nice.
On the breakfast staff doing excellent job, very polite and helpfull.
The hotel is located very close to Modena center, we walked 5 minutes to the center. The breakfast was amazing, with a lot of fresh fruits. The rooms were very big and warm, the beds were comfortable. The people at the reception were really nice and helped us with everything we needed.
Excellent premises. A renovated historical building. Beautiful. Clean. Has a car parking - 15 Euro per night - add it to the price. The house has a modern elevator. Very nice and communicative staff. BIG SHOWER - my first in Italy. Excellent location. A real winner.
Super friendly and kind host Paolo made our stay pleasant and perfect in Modena. The rooms are in great shape and top clean. One big plus is the wall box charger for cars.
Most important: The best breakfast we had in Italy so far.
Perfect location and very polite, helpful and friendly staff. We arrived by car and while the hotel’s private parking was full, we were immediately provided an authorization to park at the street nearby.
Lovely, quiet place with free private parking. Very clean, the rooms were big and comfortable, and the breakfast was the best we had in Italy. Local delicacies and homemade cakes.
This is our second time in this hotel. The location is very good, parking place is available. Very comfortable room. Rich breakfast with lots of food and beverages.
