I would definitely recommend Bologna for its incredible...
I would definitely recommend Bologna for its incredible Bolognese cuisine. The variety of pasta dishes is amazing. Almost every door you pass leads to a deli filled with local specialties — cheeses, cured meats, fresh pasta, and more.
Another interesting feature is that most sidewalks are covered by porticos, which I believe are designed to protect people from the rain and the sun.
Overall, Bologna is a wonderful city to explore, especially for food lovers.
Fun fact: The porticos of Bologna were originally built in the Middle Ages to create extra living space without blocking the streets. Over time, they became a defining feature of the city, offering protection from the sun and rain and creating lively social and commercial areas. Today, Bologna’s porticos are even recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Large open area, flooded with tourists like us. Climbing the clock tower is a must. Great views and interesting history. Off this piazza there are multitude of restaurants, bars and cafes. We enjoyed eating in the market.

Bologna could be very amazing.
Bologna could be very amazing. I am glad I visited it but was soooo disappointed to see a lot of graffiti. Graffiti does not belong on historical buildings or for that matter on any building, doors or any structure.

Very accessible from the train station, you can walk to the apartment. Very central, just a few blocks from the piazza maggiore and main attractions. You can also visit surrounding towns. We visited Ravenna.

Extreme city center location. Nothing was more than 10 minutes walk away from the hotel. Most things were less than 3 minutes - it’s just around the corner from the Piazza Maggiore. The front desk staff was lovely as was everyone else who worked there. I felt very welcomed. The room and bathroom were huge and everything worked. Breakfast was very good and I was spoiled for choice. It was cheaper than pretty much any other hotel in the city center. I booked a superior triple room.

The room was spacious with a nice table and two chairs which is always a plus when traveling. The lounge and bar areas are great places to relax after a day of sightseeing or business meetings, offering an abundance of aperitivos with drinks. The beautiful restaurant is very accommodating and professional. I ate there twice, as it was a good option in the evening, and the food was quite delicious. The hotel, itself, was quite close to Piazza Maggiore, and it was a straight, pleasant walk down Via dell'indipendenza.

Large quiet, private, city apartment with short access to Piazza Maggiore, grocery stores, and quality restaurants. The comfortable bed and quietness provided great sleep and a midday retreat from exploring the city. The apartment was extra clean and full of hand selected items; many with a story. The owner Giuseppina is an amazing woman that welcomed my wife and I with a big heart. She made our stay in Bologna special. I would highly recommend and would stay here on our next trip to Bologna.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Lovely location in walking distance to Piazza Maggiore and many of Bologna's fantastic trattoria's and osteria's. The apartment itself was very nice and exactly what we were looking for, gave us everything we needed for our stay. A special mention to Myriam who couldn't of done more for us on our stay, she was exceptional throughout.

The house just perfect for couples. So close to Piazza Maggiore, restaurants, shopping etc. About 20 minutes walk to the Bologna Centrale. The apartment also has elevator but our apartment at the first floor, so we used stairs a lot. And the host Mr. Capucci is friendly and quick to reply to any message and questions.

I absolutely loved this apartment. For a family of 6 the space was exceptional, 3 large bedrooms, a nice living area and a functional kitchen, it was perfect for our needs. In addition, separate mini split cooling units worked wonderfully during a very hot week in Bologna. I would say of all our travel in Italy during a sweltering couple of weeks this apartment was the most comfortable one we stayed in. The location was quite good for access to Piazza Maggiore and the adjoining local markets, deli's and restaurants.

Location was EXCELLENT for first time visited to Bologna. The apartment is right near Piazza Maggiore. Tons of restaurants and bars (not the same as American bars) near by. Even though the area is busy, the apartment was nice and quiet. It also has air conditioning, which was super appreciated during this heat wave. The host also ensured there was plenty of coffee and snacks for us.

The apartment is clean and well equipped with modern amenities, as well as being beautifully decorated. Since it is one the 5th floor, we appreciated the elevator. The location is good-about a 15 minute walk from Bologna Centrale, and 15 minutes in the other direction from Piazza Maggiore.

Georgio, the host was super attentive! We enjoyed the beautiful sunrise every morning in his large and comfortable apartment. It was super close to the train station-less than a 10 minutes walk for us so it was easy to travel to Milan, Modena, Parma and Ravenna. The location was also easy access for us to visit all places in Bologna, including Piazza Maggiore and the university district. We enjoyed our one week stay very much and hope to return one day!
