The pools and jets were great but I never got to experience the saunas as they weren’t open at 7:30 am There were no attendants to supply towels - my partner used both towels that were in the room. No cold water by the pool to dink which I expected for a five star hotel. The worst thing was ordering a hamburger from the menu for 30 euros and having it come nearly RAW - when asking for a new burger the chef refused saying it was supposed to be eaten raw. Actually charged 45 euros for bringing a smaller burger that was barely better. Fish tacos were 25 euros and served in a hard premade taco shell with pistachio cream. So if you don’t mind paying for food, that really is pretending to be gourmet and nonexistent service just to get a couple of nice pools and an updated bedroom. I guess it’s OK. There are so many better choices in Abano Terme. Abano Grand or Grand Hotel Trieste and Victoria serve a lovely breakfast and dinner inclusive with their newest rooms for less. Better massages too.

The staff were incredibly kind and thoughtful. We happened to be there the day of Italy’s biggest summer festival, and we had booked ahead for dinner at the hotel. The staff had arranged a party, with live music, outside by the pool. It was magical. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding. We speak only a little Italian; the staff went out of its way to explain things in English throughout our stay. Every single person we interacted with was so welcoming that we felt happy just being there. The accommodations were clean, quiet, and very comfortable.

Rooms are well maintained and cleaned, except for the shower where we discovered a couple of unpleasant stains. Lunch is delicious if you decide to go for it for extra money. Overall, the stay was good, but it definitely was below my expectations from a 5-star hotel. It's not worth the money.

Lots to see by bicycle or a short car drive in the local hills. Stay close to the station for easy rail journeys to Ferrara, Bologna, Padua, Venice .

    It was a run down town that only catered to people wanting...

    It was a run down town that only catered to people wanting to swim in the spa pools in the hotels. the hotels could have been placed anywhere including a city centre - the local surroundings were very residential and un-interesting.

    Montegrotto Terme is the perfect place where any body can enjoy and relax during all seasons. Very friendly natives, excellent pools, best location to easily reach most beautiful cities of Italy like Venice etc. it’s very nice to make walks and bike trips.

    I had wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel and so relaxed and quite, Food was great with lots of choices, beautiful swimming pool and SPA massage , the most stunning is their service TOP, everyone are so helpful and nice and even follow up tightly about you left them task. Thank you for the tall curl hair women manager, sorry I forgot asked her name and Davide. My friend received the package, thank you a lot again. See you guys next time soon.

    I liked everything. Every one in the staff was very polite, professional and kind. Breakfast was really good. Both the room and hotel were kept very clean. Room was with big balcony and bathroom. Location was perfect near the train station and the Colli Euganei. The thermal pool was open 8-22 and it was so relaxing to enjoy it under the stars.

    Friendly staff, spacious comfortable room, great breakfast, good dinner, (excellent house wine) very pleasant lunch at poolside bistro. The spa staff (providing towels) were particularly pleasant. The location close to the station was very useful for us. Also had a very interesting chat with hotel manager.
