We liked the pool, the view, and the authentic style. All of the staff was very nice but the owner was kind of rude.

Vico Equense is a small but lively town, very easily walkable, and with great connections to Pompeii, Herculaneum, Sorrento and more by train or taxi. We especially liked that it was not as crowded as other towns near the Amalfi Coast, yet has many opportunities to walk and see the surrounding area. We stayed at the Cubo Apartments, near the town center and loved it. We found some delightful walking paths, both down to the beach area and into the olive groves on the outskirts of town, as well as being able to walk the streets. We visited a number of restaurants, including La Salumaria, a great place for local beer, excellent appetizers and full meals, just off the town square. Gabrielle's is a popular walk-in place for sweets, sandwiches and gelatos, with excellent variety and service - a local favorite! A hidden jewel is the Museum of Minerology, also near the town center and with easy access. We spent several fascinating hours there, and were treated like special guests! We would go back to Vico Equense in a heartbeat!

Vico Equense is a charming town reaching from the coast up into the hills. It has plenty of restaurants ( a pizza restaurant which serves metre long pizzas )and stores and the best gelato place! The train will take you anywhere or take a bus but for sure wander the quaint streets and alleyways. Easy to fall in love with Vico.

Vico Equense is a charming little town with not too many tourists - at least not when we were there in April. The people were generally friendly and could speak english. It is a short 10 minute train trip from Vico Equense to Sorrento and about half an hour to Pompei.

Vico Equense is a small quiet town that is full of friendly and kind locals. Me and my family were so pleased that we picked Vico Equense over Sorrento for our stay. You will like Vico Equense if you like having a morning run up to the hill or down to the beach. We were so lucky that we could join the triennial Good Friday Procession at Vico Equense, it was just an amazing experience. If you like gelato (who doesn't!?), do try the brioche con gelato at Gelateria Gabrielle, it is so nice and you can choose two flavours! For restaurants, we love eating at Ristorante al buco; we went there twice during our one-week stay! Vico Equense is just a beautiful place, it doesn't take you long to get to the busy Sorrento, Pompeii and Naples Central. So yes, for us, just perfect!

Fab port, hire a boat to take you around the coast of Sorrento and Almalfi or take a ferry. It’s a great place and a lot quieter than Sorrento etc.

Vico Equense was the perfect launch point to see other places on the Amalfi Coast. The city itself is small, but has numerous restaurants, a beautiful beach and a lovely viewpoint and likely other attractions that I did not encounter. I chose this destination as I sought an affordable apartment with a kitchen for our stay. I love eating out while traveling, but I also greatly enjoy the food markets and being able to purchase local food and wine and enjoying it with a view - especially at the end of long day of sightseeing. Vico Equense is definitely a walking city. It is also incredibly easy to catch the train and/or bus to get to other sites. I would definitely stay here again.
So much to love about this property. Family run Villa with breathtaking views. The family is so welcoming and made my family feel at home and relaxed right from the start. The family run restaurant on site with delicious meals was definitely the best place to enjoy a home cooked meal. My family agrees this was definitely one of our favorite stops during our 3 weeks of traveling around southern Italy. Eduardo, Maria and their staff are all wonderful people who made our short stay a memorable one.
The owner, Teresa, and her family were really welcoming and ready to help with anything. For example when we needed extra air-conditioning units, and also they provided secure parking for our hire car.
The location is great for all the restaurants and shops in Vico Equense and a very short distance to the Hotel Sporting private beach.
The apartment is a good size, the bathroom was really modern and well equipped, and the aircon in the main living area was very good.
Everything was as described in the booking material for this house. There were adequate linens, towels, cookware. The air condition, washing machine and other appliances were in good condition. The views of the bay were beautiful from the house. We enjoyed swimming and sunning at the local Bikini Beach. The drive from our stay to downtown Vico Equense seemed less than 10 minutes. We used the train from Vico Equense to visit Sorrento.
Would definitely recommend Grand Hotel Moon Valley. The view was just breathtaking to wake up to every day. We loved the location, the atmosphere and the facilities. The staff were very helpful and the shuttle bus made everything so convenient. We tried a local restaurant Il Ritrovo del Amgli that did gluten free pizza and was just 5 minutes walk which also added to our holiday experience.
Beautiful location and scenery overlooking Vesuvius and Bay of Naples, very peaceful, would have loved a few more days to relax...but seeing Italy by train. My son loved having the pool to himself in the morning..lovely cakes and croissant for breakfast, and cappuccino delicious. Also thank you to the staff who picked us up and dropped off at Train as no car or buses to location.
The hotel was right by Vico Equense station, I would say 30 seconds to walk, it was clean, modern, the staff couldn’t do enough to help you, they were so wonderful. The room was spotless and had all the basics you would need. The breakfast was pastries, toast, scrambled eggs, sausages or bacon which was perfect. Lastly, the view of Mount Vesuvius every day was incredible.
The property was absolutely the best experience we had in Italy. Easy to get to all of the different areas like sorrento ,Positano and Naples. The staff had been hand picked to perfection. Renato gets a lot of good reviews so we were intrigued just how good he and his team manage the hotel and it far surpassed our expectations. Graci.
This was such a wonderful experience, I truly cannot put into words. The house, gardens and view are so lovely, making it an overall superb location. My husband and I could not stop looking around thinking how lucky we were to be there! We stayed for 4 days and explored Vico Equense a bunch, but would definitely come back.
I loved that is was at a great location, easy to get to the best restaurants, gelateria, train station and beaches.
The host is lovely and had a list of activities, tours and places for us to visit, which helped us a lot! I strongly recommend it and can’t wait to go back to Vico Equense!
Breakfast was best we have had in Italy, staff go out of their way to please, room spotless and modern, mini bar very good price, 6 minute walk down to town, pool and sun loungers great bonus, definitely recommend and will stay again if in this area. Underground garage parking.
Breakfast was good, very good location, shuttle buss to next city. Quite and safe place very near to Positano, Capri and Amalfi. ferry service at the door... free car parking, tenniss square.. all include how to spend very good vocation in Italy!
Perfect location with absolutely amazing views. Very clean, organized and welcoming with many new amenities. Wonderful, friendly host who made sure I had what I needed. Only a few minutes walk to the train station and you can get anywhere in Italy.
Free parking, great location / accom alternative to Sorrento - this hotel is 8-10 mins walk to Vico Equense train station / town centre and the train journey to Sorrento is only another 10 mins (cheap tickets as well)
This is our favourite stay in all of Italy. The host is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and the room was very comfortable.
