We are a traveling family. Truly, this is one of the most enchanted places we had the privilege to stay in.
It is unique because you are in the middle of the jungle, without walls. The place is very relaxing, yet you feel the jungle, in the good way. The stuff is most delicate and gentle.
The facility is luxurious. We had a great time.
All the payments for your stay are dedicated to the preservation of the forest. Wonderful.

A great place to do white water rafting, kayaking, abseiling, tracking...
There is a new hydroelectric plant being built. When that is built there will probably be no more rafting... get there before it’s over.

When you say Kitulgala, first thing will come to your mind...
When you say Kitulgala, first thing will come to your mind is white Water rafting and if you like adventurous holidays, this is the place to visit when you are in Sri Lanka. Except for white water rafting, the place is full of Rivers and waterfalls and you can have a very calm and enjoyable moment with the beauty of the nature. Must visit place if you are nature lover and love to have some adventurous holiday. For one of the best life time experience, try Gallene Galle for at least one night...

A lovely area.
A lovely area. Spoiled for choice of places to stay and for adventurous activities. Most places are fairly rustic in nature but comfortable. The drive from the Colombo airport to the area takes 2 1/2 to 3 hrs, a long time for a relatively short distance (roads very windy and lots of buses, lorries and tuk-tuks which slow the pace down).

Kitulgala is very well known destination among foreigners...
Kitulgala is very well known destination among foreigners and locals alike for its rapids, and white water rafting. The Kelani river flows through the area on shallow, rocky surface creating excellent venue for adventure sports. There are many service providers in the area operating white water rafting, canyoning, and many other water based adventure sports. Kitulgala is surrounded by virgin rain forests that adds to serene and relaxing environment untroubled by city traffic or pollutants. There are many places to look around, including nature walks in to forested villages, Belilena (ancient cave) and several water falls.
The location is in the middle of dense forest, with all the basic amenities at your disposal. There was a natural river pond, personally for us. The cook(Deenu) made excellent Sri Lankan food. The attendant (Amil) was very humble and prompt. This hotel is ideal for couple or those people who are looking for complete solitude. The owner was in contact with us throughout our stay and made sure that all our requirements are met. The owner also arranged White water rafting from a very reputed company which was the best part of the stay.
A really nice place by the river where you can have a cool dip. The host Roshan and Kolitha was very helpful and helped us with the rafting booking.
Must mention the breakfast here is one of the best we had at a small hotel! It was roti and hoppers (including 2 egg hoppers) with a super Lunu miris, for the savory and spicy option. And butter, cheese, jam and the best kithul honey for the sweet option! we smashed it all :)
Highly recommend this place for your stay in Kitulgala!
The host was very supportive. Provided delicious meals with a wide variety. There are few natural pools nearby with easy and private access. The location has a nice view with a quiet surrounding. It's conveniently situated just 5 to 10 minutes away from Kitulgala, allowing easy access to all the adventurous activities this area has to offer. If you are a person who would love a homely stay by being closer to nature, this would be an ideal stay.
Views were the best in the whole of Sri Lanka.
We had our own private pool that had the sun rise directly in front and the sun set to the right of the pool. The room was massive and could have fit a few of us. It was so peaceful. Secure doors and windows, we had no bugs enter our room! Air con was a dream. The food here was absolutely outstanding as well. The staff can arrange for canyoning and water rafting from the hotel, do both!!!
Definitely the best service we have ever experienced and one of the best hotels ever visited. Large rooms with full equipment, fantastic surrounding (alongside beautiful mountain river you can bath in), what a fantastic and individuated food and beverages! Very very caring and sociable staff! Transparent settlements. It is not a hotel surrounded by paradise. It is a part of it :)
The staff were a natural extension of the lovely Sri Lankan people, lead by Dulana, who is an exceptional man. Polite, well articulated, and unfadingly helpful and accommodating. The property reflects this, and much more, smack in the middle of the jungle, with all the civility of a modern, clean, comfortable accommodation.
Staff was super friendly and approachable. I also liked their food which felt a lot cleaner than other foods we had in Sri Lanka. Like less oily etc. also absolutely loved having the option to go into the fresh river pond where you can see clear water and tiny fish. It was really cool and refreshing.
This was the most amazing hotel I have stayed in , beautiful setting and very calming , we swam in the river , the piling pool at our room was amazing as was the steam room. The food was great and the staff couldn’t do enough for you . I highly recommend this hotel if you fancy a bit of luxury.
The hotel is in the middle of the forest and we really enjoyed staying there for one night. It was an amazing experience. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. We also enjoyed the dinner and breakfast. The people there are very friendly. We loved their project.
Tranquility and proximity to water rafting. Also the rooms overhanging on the river. The sound of flowing water. The family run hotel made us most welcome and were great at sorting our diet requirements. It truly felt like a retreat. Well done , and thank you.

Probably one of the very few decent hotels in the area, which we picked because our rafting activity started early next day.
Breakfast was good and served on time
Room was 2-story and spacious
just wonderful.
a luxury hotel in the middle of the jungle, good food and service.
they also offer a beautiful waterfall tour with an excellent guide called Samire.
