The location is excellent and the resort is real value for money . The food was excellent . The rooms were nice . The toiletries in the bathrooms needs to improve . The bathroom needs exhaust fans as it can get quite stuffy . The resort manager Mr Upal is a nice friendly bloke and is exceptional in his service . Overall a very pleasant experience .

This is a great location to stay if you want to visit the national parks and My Village will organise safaris to the four parks in the area either a half or full day. We were there the first time for safari. We had a tour to the Buddha by the sea…amazing. This time we were passing through on our way to Ella. We ate at Red Pizza which was just as good second time round.

Was in Tissamaharama for Yala Safari, had booked the early morning Safari. Disappointed with the Safari as there were very few animals except.for.peacocks and spotted dear. Later into the ride our jeep driver and guide revealed we had entered through block 5 of the Safari and most the animals(Leopard, Bears) mostly are sighted in block 1 and 2. Block 1 and 2 were closed that day, maybe just our luck. So I guess check, with the Safari organizer before booking your safari as it quite expensive. Basically disappointed ☹️

Very good base for safari to Yala or Bundala parks. I' went to Bundala as I've never been to park with big wetlands and I think it was a great choice. We've seen numerous types of birds, lizards, monkeys, jackals, mangooses, bufallos, crocodiles and also few elephants😊 I didn't stay in center of Tissa but still was able to find nice restaurants, like Smoky Kitchen (recommended).

Our main purpose was to go for Safari, and this hotel is perfectly located from Yala National Park. They even packed us breakfast at 5am, so we can take it with us to Safari. We spent an afternoon at the pool, (and had it all to ourselves which was also a bonus). The food was great, and we had the buffet there. The staff were all amazing. Everyone that worked there, were quite young, but incredibly professional, polite and kind, and they all really went out of their way to help us.

He is the most hospitable, kind, and caring host. The property is pristinely clean with large rooms with very comfortable beds and good hot shower. He also booked a driver/guide for Yala NP, Bodica (Bodi) Ravindra who was excellent driver, guide (yes, we saw a leopard) and his vehicle was very well maintained, clean with good tires. The bathroom was also big and had a great shower. We had a large balcony area too which was good to sit out on. Mithila organised our safari and also ordered us dinner from a local restaurant, she also arranged our transport to our next hotel. Mithila made us feel so welcome and the room was beyond expectations. Our favourite stay in Sri Lanka! Thank you Mithila! Would recommend to everyone looking to stay in the area.

The hotel owner was extremely welcoming and let us try Sri Lankan Arrack, which was fun! As we were there over Sinhalese New Year, we also enjoyed complementary tea and biscuits. We dined at the hotel too and the local cuisine was delicious.

During power failures, they have a generator. That is very important to us.This time we got our safari from the hotel, and he is an experienced guide. So many animals, including three big leopards.
