Very nice breakfast, one of the biggest we have had in our two weeks in Morocco. Wonderful owner who helped us get to the bus to Marrakech. Easy 10 minute walk to the kasbah and other restaurants. We had lunch one day and it was also great.

Great value for the price. The hotel host was very friendly and considerate. We felt well treated and taken seriously. He gave us many tips regarding trip planning and souvenirs. Recommend!
This hotel is a 5-minute walk from the fortified city of Aït Benhaddou, the setting for several films including Lawrence of Arabia.

The hotel has a nice decor, the staff are very pleasant and attentive. Room was of a decent size. I had a problem with the shower pressure and it was fixed the very same morning, with the man at reception giving me an explanation of what had happened and was very apologetic. It is good that they resolve any minor issues quickly. Breakfast is nearby, and also the village of Ait Ben Haddou. Pool area seemed nice, but did not use it as when I visited it wasnt hot enough.

The history of the Kasbah, the same family has been running it for 4 centuries.
The food, the location and the charming use of candles as night.
It is a singular experience. I've stayed in many amazing hotels around the world and although this was not the most expensive, or the most glamorous, it certainly has the most character.
The roof top is phenomenal. I have not seen the stars and skies this way in two decades (blame it on living in a polluted metropolis).

Most people come here for a few hours. I stayed for 3 days and could have stayed longer. It’s a lovely friendly town where you can spend time browsing through small shops, visiting art galleries, watching the night sky and soaking up the ambiance of this historical place. The highlight was a full day trip on horseback with Cheval Aït Ben Haddou. They have a Google page.

It's a really quiet town honestly.
It's a really quiet town honestly. It is a convenient place to stop, half way between Marrakesh and Merzouga but i feel like half a day would be plenty to see it all. I spent two days and it was definitely too long. The city itself is nothing special, rather touristy. Plenty of tour buses stop for the day, so it gets crowded between 11 to 5, but insanely quiet a night once they're all gone. I highly recommend La Terraza for dinner, they actually have delicious Italian food, with charcuterie and cheese, and their pizza and pasta are authentic. They also serve alcohol which is super hard to find in small morrocan towns like this one.

The kasbah was great to visit. Enjoyed the climb.
The kasbah was great to visit. Enjoyed the climb. Found some good shops for souvenirs. Brilliant views. Stunning scenery. Not much in the town / Main Street. Just a few cafes. The main attraction is the kasbah. Find a hotel with a roof top to enjoy the view and take in some star gazing too.

The Riad was outstanding and situated about 4 miles from Ait Benhaddou itself. Taxi about 50 dirhams to get there. Admission is free to the site, although people will try and get you to give them 100 dirhams to enter. The Hotel itself is sensational and the Manager Fatima and her team are brilliant. The view to the river gorge from the dining room is outstanding .

The ksar is beautiful and takes you back in time.
The ksar is beautiful and takes you back in time. Highly recommend climbing to the top for wonderful views. Had a hearty lunch at Auberge Azaddou Tamlalte which serves delicious tagine as well as spectacular views of the ksar. Would be careful about entering people's homes in the ksar despite warm invitations as they demand money after the house tour without saying anything about it upfront.

The setting is still unique, but due to the total lack of care and maintenance the place will be eroded in a few years. It is just a crumbling background to the fleecing of passing tourist trade. A walk to the top granary is still worth it for the view, but a couple of hours will be more than enough.
The staff was super helpful and friendly! Very welcoming, we could leave our bags in the reception area after check-out and they organized a transfer to Ouarzazate where they also stopped at an ATM for us and gave us a good restaurant recommendation.
Breakfast was served outside in the nice patio.
We can totally recommend this nice place for a visit in Ait Ben Haddou. The distance to the town center should not influence the decision, as everything here is super close and you reach the town in less than 2 min.
A genuine 12th century kasbah Tebi in the very heart of the Kasba of Ait benhaddu. The family owns this property for over 400 years snd decided to make some renovations and turn it into a hotel for 20 persons max. Mohsmad, Hassan and the rest of the family/staff are smazing, friendly, and lived the candles instead of electricity. Dinner and breakfast were very tasty. Everything is basic, humble but with an immense touch of authenticity making this experience an unforgettable one
I really liked that there was free parking, the place was clearly marked and easy to find because it is by the main road yet is was quiet at night. The receptionists were extra friendly and served a very abundant breakfast. Price was very reasonable too. Wifi worked well. There was a roof top terrace with a nice view of the kasbah. Fortunately, this hotel did not suffer from the earthquake but some others were not as lucky. Please come here to support the local community.
We enjoyed our stay in Defat Kasbah! It's located not far from the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the room are nicely spread over different locations and levels on the terrain. The kids enjoyed the pool very much. Special thanks go out to Yassine our host who made us feel very comfortable. He was very kind and helpful, and told us a lot about Berber culture.
The location of the guest house was just perfect. Within walking distance of the kasbah of ait ben haddou. The guest house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The room decor and layout was also very nice. The owner of the guest house Rose and all the staff were amazing and very helpful.
There was also a mosque close to the guest house that I used to pray in.
This riad was a great value and run by really kind people. When we asked about getting a tour of Air Ben Haddou the riad’s owner has his cousin — who is a tour guide — come over to show us around and the tour was fantastic. The food was good, though the dining space was a bit complex for multiple different groups.
The Room was nice, the beds were comfy and the breakfast was also very nice. It was very good to have a heater in the room as it got pretty cold at night. The Host was very friendly and even offered to help us find another hotel should we not be satisfied with the room. Ait Ben Haddou is in walking distance.
This was almost a last min option as our initial hotel was closed down due to the Sept earthquake. We had taken the room with the view and the sight to the kasbah is absolutely magical. The helper/ worker is darling, he was too cute willing to help us with anything and took pride in the property.
This riad is so pretty and quiet not far from ait ben haddou by car. It's Also high enough with a rooftop for stars, sunset and sunrise. Food was delicious and room is clean. Highly recommended! The owner also gave detailed information for our road trip to merzouga. Everything was perfect!
Great place in the heart of Ait Ben Haddou. The original building is very beautiful.
The room was very comfortable, with a view on the terrace and the Valley. We had a great night of sleep!
And the hosts were very kind and welcoming. We felt like we could have stayed there forever!
What a fabulous, special place! Definitely one of our all time favourite places that we’ve stayed at. The most wonderful, friendly, warm staff! Our room looking over the valley was incredible. Being able to walk to Ait Ben Haddou was super cool!
lovely hotel in aït ben haddou. We loved the food, the hammam and spa and massage (!) and the staff was soooo friendly. We got to choose the room because there were free rooms. Awesome rooftop terrace. Would really really recommend to stay!
The person in charge was very sincere, helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. I have the best breakfast here in Morocco. Definitely recommend to stay here if you are visiting Ait Ben Haddou.
Great location for a walk to the kasbah. Staff was amazing. Food was great. Hotel was beautiful and nicely decorated. Wonderful value for the money. Really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend!
It's in a perfect location to visit Ait Ben Haddou and it's a privilege to stay in a traditional Moroccan kasbah within a UNESCO world heritage site. Dinner was very nice and the hosts were friendly.
Location is amazing (especially the rooftop terrace) and the staff super nice. Staff was nice enough to organise transport for us and also a guide to see Ait Ben Haddou.
