Place is great. We had a room facing a big patio with a lush bougainvillea. The room was small but with all the essentials. Staff was also great and cordial.

Gorgeous hotel located in the very heart of Patzcuaro on the main plaza. Manager Griselda was so very pleasant and extremely thoughtful with all our needs and questions, making sure our stay at Hotel Casa del Naranjo was the best possible experience we could ever imagine…and it was. Entire staff was so nice to us and the facilities are BEAUTIFUL! We ate breakfast in the hotel and it was delightfully delicious. Car park is very secure and close to the hotel. We have stayed in Patzcuaro central many times and this is without a doubt our favorite! We will make this our home away from home in Patzcuaro for all future visits!

Beautiful colonial style town. Located centrally to other craft towns nearby (Santa Clara de Cobre.. copper Town; Ztinzunzen, baskets, green pottery and large stone work and pottery; Capula, catrina figures, clay and other pottery.
Center for Dia de los Muertos celebration at beginning of November is stellar if you visit at that time, however, prices are higher for accommodations and must be booked far in advance. Other times of the year easy to book.

This town is at 2140 meters elevation and is very cold in the evenings going as low a 4c. You need to make sure there are doors to shut out the cold, hot water and plug in heaters that will not blow the circuits. Our accomodationon on booking said that because the ad did not say anything about heating that they were not obligated to supply it. Make sure that the living space has doors installed so that the cold air can't enter anywhere if it is an apartment. Ie no open air kitchen or living room with just doors to bedrooms.

This town is so charming! Very laid-back and tranquil.
This town is so charming! Very laid-back and tranquil. (We were not visiting during the Dia de Muertos celebrations.) The central plaza is really beautiful, well utilized by the people and yet still felt low-key. The architecture is pleasing to the eye. I also love that you can see the mountains and countryside in the distance. Unlike a lot of colonial cities (I live in one), Patzcuaro does not feel closed in because the buildings are almost all no taller than two levels. I can't wait to go back!

Really enjoyed the place, it was real, not done up for tourism. The markets in the s square were bustling and vibrant, we loved the sense of community, and as visitors we could observe the real local culture
My wife and I stayed at Casa de la Real Aduana and loved it! We choose it based primarily on the online reviews and it did not disappoint. It was the perfect location to explore Pátzcuaro, surroundings, and the beautiful Mexican culture. The hotel, rooms, and courtyard were so fine – like being in an art museum. And Gemma and Didier were so gracious – we were treated like guest in their home. The staff was so polite and attentive. We highly recommend it!
This is a very beautiful hotel, filled with art and very interesting architecture. The staff was attentive and helpful, and the breakfasts were excellent.
With parking across the street, it is perfect for walking to the main plaza, six blocks away.
Our room was very comfortable, and while it does get quite cold at night, there was a fireplace stocked with wood, but we never needed it.
We would definitely stay there again.
The room was big and all the stuff was courteous. We really appreciated Leonel’s warm welcoming and great food recommendations. The hotel is centrally located, just 2 blocks away from great restaurants and a 10 min drive to Muelle General #1, where you can park to take the boat ride to the famous Janitzio island.
This hotel is simply beautiful! We were welcomed with fresh coffee, tea and cookies. The halls had a mystic sandalwood scent. The rooms were confortable and beautifully decorated. The best part was the garden in the courtyard, the lush greenery created an oasis where hummingbirds danced all around.
The hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of Patzcuaro. It is very quiet and the room was nice. There was a fire place in the room, and I was afraid it was going to be cold; however, it was not cold at all and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was good and had natural light.
Lovely little hotel situated a stone’s throw from the centre. Rooms set around and above a flower filled court yard with outdoor seating.
Beds comfortable and TV with plenty of channels ( including 3 US news channels ). Shower ok but warm and WiFi excellent.
Would stay again.
This place is fantastic! Everyone is extremely friendly, and the hotel is like traveling in time, especially the family room. The door is centuries old as the key!! It is a must-visit place!! They take care of your car and is very inexpensive, less than $USD 3 per night.
This old Hacienda style Hotel suited our travel and visiting needs perfectly. Pet friendly and with good, secure parking. Without exception, all the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful, creating a lovely atmosphere. Very clean.
Breakfast was just good. Nice to be able to buy coffee at the hotel in the morning. Great private covered parking but wasn't expecting to pay $50.p daily. Music at the hotel Saturday night was a great idea and a super group.
A former monseñor home converted into a peaceful and beautiful hotel boutique. the bedrooms are quite beautiful.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is the best, walking distance from everything.
Great stay!
Lovely quiet little colonial style hotel with very friendly hosts. Basic comfort and a very affordable price in a great location. Very nice inner courtyards. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice place on a budget.
The hotel is more beautiful than in the pictures, everything is perfect. The rooms are beautiful in the same way, a huge bed, very comfortable, and a big shower as well.
