Good water pressure and friendly staff are about the only positive points of this establishment. Everything else is cheap with a capital "C".

It has a nice beach, breakfast is good. One pool was in maintenence. Far from downtown and transportation options are expensive. I didnt like the 11am checkout, its too early and you dont really have time to do anything more than have breakfast and leave

January has perfect weather, very pleasant people visiting, working and living in the area. Lots of stuff to do or not do, if relaxing is your mission. Affordable Taxi or Uber rides can get you to Puerto Vallarta or Bucerias within 30 minutes. Spanish speakers will have no trouble getting around and even those who have a limited understanding will have little trouble as most residents speak english.

Nuevo is nicer than Puerto Vallarta, quiet and peaceful versus the hustle and bustle of touristy Malecon in Vallarta, lots of traffic, noise associated with it etc.
Nuevo is pricier , big money, and affluence in Nuevo area where I stayed. Well groomed walk ways (don't have to worry much about stepping in a hole like Vallarta)- median has walkway for joggers, dog walks, regular walk. Its upscale for sure.

At first I thought it was a little isolated but we realized restaurants etc. were a short ride away.
My husband enjoyed walking in the area and it was easy to walk on the beach or path to Bucerías.
I would definitely stay there again!

Nuevo Vallarta is mainly huge hotel complexes with their own private beaches with a small ish shopping plaza with a supermarket. The area around mainly caters for middle-high end budgets. Although there us a nice fish restaurant (beach shack type) with mainly mexican food 15 mins walk from the beach on Paseo de la palmas
If you are looking for Mexico, you are not going to find it here...typical American resort if that's tour thing. If not old Puerto Vallarta is by far the better place for 'a bit' of authenticity if you look carefully.
A Mixed Experience at Villa San Juan Bed&Breakfast. The breakfast and staff were great. The facility was very clean. It was in a nice neighbor.
Our stay at Villa San Juan Bed & Breakfast had both positive and negative aspects. The staff was nice, and the breakfast was great. However, the room was small, the shower was unfinished, and the small bug bites were painful. The room was also a bit overpriced. The location was a bit far from the beach and grocery stores.
Beautiful location right on the beach, with multiple pools, including a quiet “no kids” pool which we found relaxing. The room was in great shape, with contemporary furnishings in the bathroom. Sure, the TV was tiny, but you don’t go to Puerto Vallarta to watch TV. The food was varied and good, with our dinner at Las Palomas exceptional.
Quiet and peaceful. The condo was spotless and had everything we needed. The rooftop pool was quiet and never had more than 2 people in it. Eat breakfast there, it’s cheap and delicious! The fitness center is nice and better than most hotels. Nearby restaurants were amazing. Tacos on the Street” for tacos and Lamara for Mariscos!
Hotel was super clean! Room was spacious and had a very nice balcony with a view of the pool and the ocean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Wifi was great! Breakfast buffet in the morning (which is included in this rate) was plentiful and there was a very nice person making eggs to order. All in all a nice experience.
Very large clean hotel with beautiful marble features. Staff was very responsive and helpful. Nice pool and lounge area at rear of hotel. Wifi was excellent and had connections and passwords for each floor. This may be why someone commented no wifi.
The house was beautiful as well as the gardens. Pool was great to lounge by. All of the staff were amazing, breakfast was fresh and different every day. Really enjoyed our stay. Loved the Mexican decor! Beach was a 15 minute walk.
The various restaurants provided lots of choice for food. The washrooms around the resort were well maintained, being cleaned very regularly....they even had 2ply toilet paper, a luxury you don't get in all hotels!
Staff was so helpful and friendly, food was amazing in all restaurants and the buffet, the rooms were spacious, we were three women and did not feel crowded. Lots of chairs around the pool and easy beach access.
Thank you Alida and the rest of the staff! We loved your attention and the cart for the beach. Glad the hotel also accepts American express. Thank-you!
