Angsana Teluk Bahang, hotel in Batu Ferringhi

Located in Batu Ferringhi, a 2-minute walk from ESCAPE Penang, Angsana Teluk Bahang has accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness center and a terrace.

Breakfast was amazing. Excellent variety. Only issues was transportation ... as it is far out from George town it can be problematic getting taxi's or grab cars. Suggest the Hotel keep some drivers and cars on standby for guests. Increase number of shuttle services to George town. As it was during the ramadan fasting month. Perhaps warn guest in advance not to go out in the evening as there will be no taxis available to bring you back to the hotel. The hotel it'self is wonderful, staff are friendly... some yummy little local food stands within 10 to 15 minutes walk. Overall had a wonderful stay :)

The Bayview Beach Resort, hotel in Batu Ferringhi

Located along Batu Ferringhi Beach in Penang, Bayview Beach Resort offers rooms with private balconies that face the hills or the sea.

The view is superb. It is beach front. But public can access the beach (not a problem for me tho). The pool was good. The environment is chill and we got to watch sunset. There's watersports on the beach and horseback riding but you'll have to pay as it is not part of the resort's service. You can take beautiful pics here I guarantee you that. The restaurant was nice. The lobby was nice (to me at least). It is near to outside reastaurant as well (as in walking distance to other restaurants). The room was okay, clean and spacious, the view from my room was nice. The tv and ac works, iron was provided. Everything works for me. There were plenty of parking space. Everything was nice, good and comfy except the bed.

Tony’s Guesthouse at Teluk Bahang, hotel in Batu Ferringhi

Located in Batu Ferringhi and within 0.8 mi of Penang National Park, Tony’s Guest house at Teluk Bahang features a garden, nonsmoking rooms, and free WiFi. Staff on site can arrange a shuttle service....

Tony's guest house is a very nice place to stay! It is in a very calm place, no cars rushing around, just peace and harmony! :) The room I stayed in was basic, small but clean and nice with everything I needed in it. I am so glad I've booked a room with AC as it was very hot during the day and night. The shared bathroom and showers are simple but good. There is a common area-kitchen-dining-chill place which is absolutely cosy and awesome! Here you can cook your own meals, meet other guests ir just chill in the garden, hammocks. The most important - Tony is a very very nice and super helpful person, he helps with everything you need. He has even made the lists of activities, restaurants he recommends in the area for his guests! You can also order simple breakfast for really cheap and the meals are very tasty! Moreover, Tony is a super nice guy, very friendly and helpful in all the means!

FAQs about hotels in Batu Ferringhi

Beach and Fun in Penang

Batu Ferringhi is a combination of a beach resort packed with modern hotels and a tropical Asian paradise. Located in the Penang area of northern Malaysia, it is one of the biggest resorts of its kind in the country. Restaurants, shopping centres and numerous modern services and facilities are also available, along with its well-known ‘Pasar Malam’ or Night Market.

The strip along Jalan Batu Ferringhi Street is the main service area, and you’ll find a large variety of hotels on the beach, apartments and guest houses. The area can be divided in three different zones: Tanjung Bungah to the east, Batu Ferringhi itself, and the quieter Teluk Bahang to the west. Check the hotels map to see which area is the most convenient for you.

Things to do in the surroundings include the ‘Butterfly Farm’, home to a collection of thousands of beautiful specimens; and the ‘Spice Garden’, which features a lush landscape with a large variety of herbs and spices. The town is located only 16 km from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of George Town’s historic centre.

It can be reached by bus, or via a 45-minute flight from Kuala Lumpur to Penang Airport. Before enjoying the sun and fun of Batu Ferringhi, don’t miss the accommodation deals available on Booking.com!

This is a rather conservative (no alcohol served or allowed, except in rooms) family-oriented facility that is somewhat isolated with limited food and entertainment facilities. The better rooms have wonderful sea views that are perhaps the highlight of the place, along with the colorful “Balinese” color schemes inside the rooms and outside of the buildings. This is not a “beach” resort, since there is only a beach at Low tide and that is very narrow and rocky. I booked the room after a hectic three-week trip to Thailand and Malaysia, in order to chill out before heading home. However, the daytime and evening noise levels at the facility and my room’s thin walls made chilling out very difficult. I would advise anyone contemplating staying here to request a room away from the pools and the restaurant. It happened unbeknownst to me that I booked for the final days of the Chinese New Year, and that may have generated the noise levels since the place was packed with families with children (I was traveling solo, and as far as I could tell, I was the only solo traveler at the facility).

The location , beach and ambience were great.

The location , beach and ambience were great. We stayed at the Park Royal Hotel. It was lovely, staff were helpful and always smiling. We really enjoyed our stay. We ate at Grand Lebanon Restaurant, the food was delicious and service was great at the restaurant. We also ate at the Enca restaurant (Indian Cuisine) and enjoyed the food which was excellent value for money and delicious. We picked up some souveniers at the Batu Ferringhi night market also.

The gardens at the bay view were maintained beautifully and the cleaners never seemed to stop around the pool and restaurant area although it was requested that people did not enter wet. Well what can I say???

Batu Ferringhi is basically a strip of hotels/resorts along the main road with some restaurants, shops, massage places and night market along the road as well. Apart from visiting the beach, enjoying the pool area at your hotel, there is not much to do. Beaches are not the best, while we were there, there were signs to watch out for stingers, so we did not go in the water. The local grab drivers told us for nice beach holiday go to Langkawi instead.

this is big hotel with an access to the beach and has nice garden the massage offered in the garden was good parking seemed to be feeling up quite quickly it’s a last resort in the line of the resort, 1hr drive from the airport with no traffic and good 40min to George Town rooms were spacious but plain (I wouldn’t call them cosy) the breakfast and dinner is the buffet form, we didn’t try it but looking at it we didn’t find it very appealing next door bar/restaurant on the beach is great for watching the sunset and serves good food

The room is spacious and view was great. The breakfast was excellent. Many varieties incl indian food. The pool was nice esp the kids pool. The hotel service was excellent esp during the breakfast in the mornings. The overhead bridge fr the hotel to the beach was a great initiative. The live band was simply amazing and the football lovers could watch FIFA on big screen at the hotel lounge while hving some hot drinks. It was the most relaxing and enjoyable stay in Penang. Will surely come back again!

The staff was very slow. She made us wait while she carefully arranged her paperwork. She asked us for a passport and took ages to check it. It was like she was mocking us. The room smelled when we came in. The hotel was very dirty. No complimentary water. I could tell that the floors weren't mapped for a few days. The hotel lobby's chairs were very old and very dirty. The bed sheets smelled like it hasn't been washed for a months. The bathroom was the worst of all - the sink had molds.

We were given a partitioned room with a large size bed and twin beds. The large bed was the largest we have ever experienced in any hotel. It can easily accommodate 4 people. Very comfortable. Room service was responsive and helpful to our needs. Loved the meditation pool. Swimming pool was also a reasonable size. The backside of the hotel connects directly to the beach and has a great view.

By The Sea is exactly as described. The apartment was lean and modern. Our apartment was the mosque side which was fine. The development has a great communal gym and infinity pool and garden access to Batu Ferringhi beach. The location has numerous cafes and restaurants on the roadside. A nice relaxed atmosphere. The apartment has a well appointed kitchen and 2 ensure shower rooms.

The hotel was close to everything, bus stop, restaurants, beaches, convenience store and many more. The room was spacious, even had a little balcony. The air con worked incredibly well. Also the tenants are so sweet and nice, they always made us laugh and suggested many restaurants and activities. If I ever go back to Malaysia I will for sure stay there again.
