Nazca, Peru, a land of mysteries and wonders, left me utterly spellbound. The trifecta of Cahuachi, the Nazca Lines, and Cantalloc made my journey truly unforgettable.
Cahuachi, the ancient ceremonial center, immersed me in the enigmatic world of the Nazca culture. The sight of the towering adobe pyramids and the sacred plazas spoke volumes about their sophisticated civilization.
The Nazca Lines, those intricate geoglyphs etched into the desert floor, were a sight to behold from the scenic flight. The colossal shapes of animals and geometrical figures sparked my imagination, leaving me in awe of the artistic prowess of an ancient civilization.
In Cantalloc, the awe-inspiring underground aqueduct system showcased the ingenious engineering skills of the Nazca people. Venturing into the subterranean channels and witnessing their advanced water management techniques was nothing short of remarkable.
Throughout my stay, the warmth and friendliness of the locals made me feel at home. I savored authentic Peruvian delicacies, including delicious ceviche, which heightened the cultural experience.
Nazca is a place that transcends time and captivates the soul. It offers a unique blend of history, mystery, and culture. If you have a thirst for exploration and a fascination with ancient civilizations, Nazca is a destination that will leave you awestruck and yearning for more.

Flight over the Nazca lines was amazing and Desert adventure tours. I had a dinner at Nazca retrobar that was so good I came back the next day for lunch. Interesting history and a nice little bustling city, friendly people. I arrived at 2am and felt safe walking the three blocks to the hotel!

Went on a Nazca lines flight this morning and it was brilliant, had a great lunch at Nazca Retrobar and a couple of Mojitos, after an afternoon nap, I explored the bustling town of Nazca, saw the markets, shops, parks and had a nice dinner at El Porton. Nice place to spend a couple of days.

Right now, the beginning of March, is the hot season, the days are typically 32/33/35 degrees C, so be prepared for hot days. You'll definitely want a wide-brimmed hat, maybe one with the cover flap that protects the back of your neck, and sunscreen.
Nazca is a nice little town, the streets are generally cleaner than most of the coastal towns I've visited in both Ecuador and Peru. There are a few nice parks, at least 4 coffee shops (one had a broken espresso machine), a couple of minimarkets for groceries (no supermarket though). There is construction happening along the river at this time.
I like Nazca and would definitely return if and when the chance arises.

There's a lot to see in Nazca on the archeological side (the Nasca civilization) but most of it is a few kilometers away. So you need to think of taxis (there are lots and they're not expensive) or tours. Antonini museum is interesting as is the nightly talk in the Planetarium hotel.
Nasca is not a big town but the atmosphere is friendly and I felt safe there.

Yes, taking a flight over the Nasca lines is worth it.
Yes, taking a flight over the Nasca lines is worth it. We had concerns about safety and read quite a bit before we decided who to fly with and our hotel also happened to have links with the company. I now wish we had done the longer trip, but I might have thought otherwise if our flight hadn't haven been very smooth. While the town is no Cusco or Arequippa there's enough to do closeby for a couple of days.
Everything! The owner was so sweet — he met us at our peruhop drop off location around the corner and walked us to the hostel. He offered advice on how to navigate the city and what to do and not to do. Nazca isn’t known for safety, but he locks the door at all times and is always present to open them. Seriously, felt so safe and at home here. And you can’t beat it for the price! Also he gave us late checkout at no additional cost, I tipped him very well for his generosity!
Upon our arrival by bus in Nasca we opened up Google Maps to see how far from our hotel we were. Imagine our surprise when it was less than 200 meters from the Cruz del Sur bus terminal! Most rooms are built surrounding the pool, which looked nice (though we did not have time to go swimming).
The room, though a bit outdated, was nice and clean.
The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from several nice restaurants, which was ideal for us.
Friendly and helpful stuff. Chill vibes, comfortable beds, clean, really good wifi.
The noises you hear from dogs or cars with microphones are all over Nazca. You will be fine with earplugs. I stayed two nights and slept like a baby. They have hot water in the shower and filter water for drinking and refill. They have a little kitchen and a fridge. The walk to the city center is a maximum of 10 minutes.
The owners are very charming and helpful. they allowed us to keep the room until 6pm the day of our departure, and they even kept our luggage after that.
we booked with them two tours, Nazca y Palpa lines flight, and Cahuachi’s visit at the last minute they helped us and called all the guides they knew. location is very good as well, we definitely recommend going there
The owner was so helpful, caring and friendly. He came to meet us at the bus station.
He gave good advice to not have breakfast before Nazca Lines flight.
The location is 3 mins walk from Cruz del Sur bus station and close to restaurants. It was quiet at night.
The rooms are large and impeccably clean.
Drinking warmer is provided.
All good
Large spacious room for 2
The staff were all so nice, nothing was an issue for them. The planetarium is really cool, they should advertise it more. The pool area was really lovely too, a brilliant place to relax from the Nazca sun. We would definitely recommend it and would be likely to stay in other DM hoteles
The place was clean, tidy and cozy. The owners of the place were welcoming and nice, and among other things helped us schedule activities and the flight in Nazca (in practice we did some things through them and some not and it was perfectly fine). Overall recommended.
I only stayed here a few hours. I checked in at lunchtime and left at 23.00hrs for my night bus. I needed somewhere to rest and relax after seeing the Nazca lines and before my night bus left.
There is a pool, it didn't look crystal clear, but then Nazca is dusty.
We enjoyed our staying. The hosts are very welcoming. This hotel is new and very well cleaned. Highly recommend.
The owner has his own travel agency. We took a tour to the pyramids and aqueduct. It was very interesting, the guide spoke English well
The hotel is only 100 meters from the bus stop and people are really nice.
Renzo is really kind and found us a trip over the lines (with Aeronazca) on the day after we arrived, even if it was on the night.
Will recommend !
We booked early flights for Nazca lines and with a mixup at the airport we were late coming back to the hotel. The staff saved and prepared the included breakfast after we got back. Very nice of them.
clean property, good staff good breakfast but distant from main town. Recommend: Book Nazca flight with them— uses same company , same flight as Peru Hop but cheaper and better contact
breakfast was good and complete
room was very large and spacious
in the middle of the center and close to restaurants and bars
close to the airport and attractions of Nazca
Wonderful, large property that was lovely to walk around. Close to the airport for viewing the Nazca lines. There is not much to do around, but there is a restaurant on site.
The people in charge of the administration, very nice and helpful.
They allowed us an early check in and rest 3 hours until the flight over the Nazca lines was ready.
The hotel is very big and well kept, we love the ping-pong table and the swimming pool! There is a planetarium in the facility I only wished that we knew about it.
