After staying one night in the city center at a less than desirable hotel, we moved on to this place to retrieve our sanity… and it worked. A pleasant stay at this resort with plenty of amenities… nice restaurant and bar.

The staff were very pleasant and very pleasing. The location was in a nice and quiet area, not far from all the restaurants. The hotel was very beautiful and super clean. We needed some laundry done, and the lady at the counter gladly took our clothes and washed them. Each evening, one of the ladies would ask us what time we'd like to have breakfast, so they'd have it ready for us. They'd offer us hot tea or coffee and bring it to our room. The service was so great that one of the ladies went to the pharmacy to get me some Midol for my cramps. I was very pleased with my 4 day stay.

It is a very calm town almost everything will close around 11 pm on weekdays.. heard it gets crazy on the weekends. Enjoyed so much our time there.

Great place for a little roadtrip!
Great place for a little roadtrip! The Huacachina Oasis is just one of the best places I have ever visited. It is a very small place to relax, do a dune buggy tour with sandboarding and then going to the Islas Ballestas to take a boat tour. It was great!

Huacachina is a beautiful place (especially looking over the desert), we stayed 2 nights and managed to book several excursions in the 3 days we spent there. We also managed to visit Paracas with an excursion booked from the hotel.

Ica is lovely!
Ica is lovely! A small oasis in the middle of a sandy desert. Very peaceful.A ton of restaurants and bars. Must go on the sand buggy ride which I would highly recommend, the drivers are nuts! The more we laughed, the more the driver would drive off on to yet another challenging sand dune. Fun! Definitely try out Sand boarding. It does seem scary but is easy to get hooked on.

I like this little city, or large pueblo, however you want to look at it. Compared to all the other towns along the coast this is probably the cleanest and nicest to visit (not counting Lima because it's sooooo much bigger). And I've visited more than 20 towns in Peru.

Ica or better Huacachina is a great place to be!
Ica or better Huacachina is a great place to be! It was awesome to see the town in the middle of the sand dunes. I also did the sandboarding trip which I liked a lot. However, I was not interested in the other possible trips (trip to the Islands, Pisco Sour and Wine tasting tour, or Canyon tour), so that one day would have been perfectly enough for me. However, I don't know how to better plan it with the buses, so I think 1 night stay is a must and you can only take the next bus in the next evening.
The place has its country side charm with wonderful people running it.
Luis helped me with tours and personally made sure that I was comfortable.
I did Nazca lines with him and he took me to various other locations too.
Even when I left from Ica, he was my contact point through out my trip of Peru. He really went beyond his work scope to help me out.
P.S. Pisco experience with him was an amazing one. And they make their own awesome Pisco.
I have very fond memories of the place and Luis.
In a very busy city on a Saturday night, Hospedaje La Huega was an oasis of tranquility, secure, run by a family, pleasant, super-clean, with a nice version of the classic Peruvian breakfast. It was great to be able to call and confirm our arrival time, and call on arrival to immediately be let in through the gate. At breakfast I had a great chat with the owner about his fruit trees. The pool was sparkling clean and inviting but it was a bit chilly for swimming in the early morning.
Huacachina was a good surprise. When planning our holidays in Peru, this seemed like a "passable" place, mainly because we had already visited other oasis towns. Nevertheless, spending a night here was great. It allowed us time to go on a buggy ride through the desert and sandboarding down the dunes! Walking around the oasis during the early morning was also quite different and refreshing. The breakfast was not bad, but also nothing special.
Really enjoyed the stay here. The pool area is very nice for relaxing, with the restaurant right beside it. The ceviche and pisco sours were really good and reasonably priced. The breakfast was also really nice with fresh local fruit, cheese and bread. Room was bare bones, but met our needs perfectly. Much prefer a hotel like this than some sterile Americanized versions we experienced in Paracas!
Everything! Giancarlo and Yoship are amazing! The well-being of their guests is VERY important for them. I learned to make Pisco sours!😁 Got to spend a great day and night at el Dia del Pisco with them and their friends! The best hostel for me on my trip to Peru! I actually believe I made new friends with them! Gracias!✌️
Location, it was pretty good, just in front of the big dunes and oasis. You have a parking lot inside the hotel which is very handy. There is a great pool in the center of the hotel and the breakfast is ok: tea, juice, bread and fried eggs.
Good location, great outdoor pool with a bar. Friendly and helpful staff. AC in the room. We were let earlier into our room during check-in and were able to leave our bags after check-out. Breakfast was ok, a typical one you get in Peru
This hostel is a 15 min walk away from Huacachina in a quiet neighborhood in Ica. It has really clean rooms with super comfy beds. A nice common space around the pool. Clean kitchen with a fresh sponge (a rare sight in hostels).
Awesome stay at Ica Adventure 2.
We had the king size bedroom with balcony and it was stunning: nice deco, clean, spacious & all you need. The price was fair. Friendly staff, location is ok too. Would definitely come back!
Spacious room, clean, good breakfast on the roof top deck, use of the pool at the next door property if you ask. Close enough to easily walk everywhere but far enough away from the party hotels and hostels to get sleep.
Big room and bed with comfortable shower.
The usual breakfast option with eggs, bread and marmalede with coffee and juice (after a while in Peru you may get bored by it).
Good location a bit off the main beat.
The room is quite comfortable and clean. The hotel is very close to the oasis, they let me store my luggage during the day. Generally speaking, it's a decent accomodation for a smaller city in Peru.
The location was perfect, within walking distance from restaurants and easy to catch taxis. The hotel itself was very quiet and secluded off of a side street.
It’s super well located. The workers are very kind and the restaurant of the hotel have very good prices and food is very tasty. Definitely worth it ☺️
