Stretched along the Oder River in southwest Poland, Wroclaw still remains a relatively undiscovered gem. The city’s stunning architecture, its vibrant cultural scene and popular events have something for everyone.
Severely destroyed in 1945, Wroclaw was beautifully restored and became one of the country’s highlights. Its Old Town, with one of the largest town squares in Europe, attracts tourists with colorful townhouses, cozy pubs and street stalls.
Make sure to visit the Ostrow Tumski, known also as the Cathedral Island, featuring the impressive Wroclaw Cathedral from the mid-10th century and romantic cobblestone streets with oil lamps hand-lit every night. Or visit a famous 360-degree view painting of the Battle of Raclawice - the Raclawice Panorama.
For a breath of fresh air, take a walk in the Szczytnicki Park where the famous Japanese Garden, a remainder from the World Expo held in Wroclaw in 1913, awaits you with its contemplative and quiet atmosphere. The only remarkable thing is the location where in the city center. Staffs need to be educated and well trained. Poor hygiene on facilities, kitchen does not work, most shower room hot shower finished quickly, mattress need to be replaced by new ones, disgusting stained spots and smell on it, also there are bed bugs The really situation or pictures are totally different from the photos the hostel put on the Booking.com. There are only two old Electric Kettles , one microwave and a very dirty refrigerator, Even hard to find spoon and forks, no trash can in kitchen seems cleaners do not want guests to use kitchen, shower rooms and toilets disgusting smells and stains.

Wroclaw is a buzzy young city.It feels very safe.
Wroclaw is a buzzy young city.It feels very safe. We saw no crime or public drunkeness. We encountered no beggars and only a few polite young touts. Its easy to get around by tram, and very cheap. £12 can get you a good evening meal out in the main square. There is lots to in the city and nearby. It is much cheaper than Krakow, but very similar in style and value. Its a great choice for a short break with family and friends. Very child orientated. The Poles are brilliant people. Most people speak English. There is no shortage of very good hotels in the heart of Wroclaw. There is a great jazz club, with cheap refreshments and a great atmosphere.

Very clean and nice city with lots of good reastaurants (we liked Georgian U Gruzina and Polish Pierogarna ze smakiem - very little, just two tables to sit, but very fresh and tasty pirogy) and cafes. Dwarfs map is nice way to "forse" kids to walk around the old city without extra effort. There are no hills in the old city, so it is very comfortable for walking.

Wroclaw is a fantastic city.
Wroclaw is a fantastic city. One of Europe's hidden gems and in some ways I'm happy it has not been ruined by 'over tourism'.
It is one of the most beautiful and historic places you could hope to visit, with an abundance of architecture , culture and galleries.
The old town, Market square (Rynek) and the Cathedral district are a must see. There is a linear park almost encircling the entire old centre.
For those who want to party there are many clubs and pubs, from mainstream, to dance and rock.
Plenty of good places to eat to fit any budget.
It's a vibrant, cool university city that has a perfect blend of modernity and old fashioned charm. Highly recommended.

Very beautiful architecture, very friendly, helpful people.
Very beautiful architecture, very friendly, helpful people. The road circling the Old Town is very wide with frightening traffic and far too few crossing points. The crossings also took an eternity to call pedestrians to cross. The car is king which is such a shame, Wroclaw would be almost perfect.
My wife and I have been traveling for a year now and staying in many hotels and apartments. This one is the best so far. It is new, stylish, comfortable, and had everything you need for a long or short stay. The host Pawel was very responsive and kind to any requests. His place has plenty of closet and drawer space, full kitchen with appliances, a huge TV with very good internet, and only about. 15 min walk to the center of town with plenty of tram and bus stops nearby. I would highly recommend this apartment if you are in Wrocław.
Wroklaw as a city was one wonderful surprise, especially the old town and one of the most unique market squares I have visited in Europe. Lovely atmosphere in the evening!
The hotel is ~20 - 25 min walk away, super easy with a rental scooter, but totally walkable also.
The hotel was simple, modern, super convenient car garage.
We loved the breakfast, and had a really good rest at night - so perfect for an overnight stay.
Probably the best breakfast I tried in Poland. The only comparable hotel breakfast level is the one of Sheraton in Krakow, where however prices are way higher. Best value for money ever, absolutely advised.
Room service is also efficient, with tasty dishes.
The structure is new and everything looks great, nice environment.
Last but not least, the staff was always kind and with a smile on their faces, which never hurts.
Loved the location of the hotel, just around the corner from Market Square, yet with the window closed it was not noisy at night, plus the air-conditioning was very welcome. The hotel is in a great spot for exploring the city. Bed was comfortable, we had a fridge, coffee-making facilities and a TV. The staff on the front desk were very helpful in answering queries and booking taxis, etc.
Nice and clean hotel, situated within walking distance to the railway station (Wroclaw Glowny) and bus line 106 from/to the airport. Close to the old town, easy to reach all historical destinations by feet. Staff was polite and helpful. Great wifi. Basic and clean room with aircon/heating. Kettle and tea/coffee available in the room. I stayed for 3 nights and recommend this hotel.
The hotel is situated in a perfect spot right in the centre of the picturesque old town. Very spacious room with a comfy bed. Two little bottles of water were waiting for me. I found also an electric kettle and tea and coffee every day in my room.I am thankful to the hotel staff, fom giving me the opportunity of a very early check in!! Perfect hospitality!!! .
The apartment is very spacious, modern and comfortable, and it's in a great location. It has the best equipped kitchen I have ever seen in Poland. There's a separate bedroom and bathroom with a washing machine which is very important for families with children. We also liked the large balcony and the little playground in the courtyard.
So clean, loads of space, quiet, lovely shower, great cooking facilities, microwave was a little high up, had to stand on a chair. But everything else was perfect, just what I needed, very pleased and will definitely stay again when I go back to Poland. Staff at reception were very polite and very helpful.
Staff was friendly and hotel was clean and comfortable. Everything was quite close in proximity (from old town to the mall which was literally a walk down the road). Really affordable and good value for your money! Also you could store your luggage there beforehand if needed if you arrived early.
Everything was great. Situated far enough from the old town to make arriving easy (and free parking!), but has a tram station right outside and only a few minutes to Rynek. Super clean and comfortable. One of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. Staff was warm, welcoming and helpful.
Everything was good, staff place , room was like a new . Hotel location was perfect , very close to Market Square. Staff was very helpfull as i requested some things like Iron and stuff , they response instant and bring it. I really recomand this place for anyone staying in Wroclaw
It was ok, but I dont think its worth the money. Not that its super expensive or something luxurious but I’ve stayed in similar hotels in Poland and it was cheaper and better. The breakfast was also just average.
The location is write next to the market square. Close to the shopping mall. The hotel has been renovated. Mini stores within walking distance. Mini market and starbucks infront of the hotel. Staff is friendly.
Excellent city centre hotel, within walking distance of the old town with all the bar’s & restaurants, also walking distance of the train & bus station. Room was pretty basic but was modern enough & clean.
The hotel was very close to the center of the old town which was where the Christmas markets are, which was why we chose it. They provide luggage storage for your check in and check out day.
Best hotel for me in Wroclaw - 1 block to market square, excellent value, great breakfast and spa. Plus a great price. Been a few times and definitely coming back.
