Perfectly nice hotel! We stayed for only one night as we passed through Terceira. Everything was clean and comfortable enough. The wifi was very good, good enough for me to stream and even take a work call. The room is small, but not unmanagable. The staff was helpful and kind. We were surprised at how much we enjoyed the town of Angra, it has a bit more history and architectural beauty than we found elsewhere in the Acores, and this was the perfect location to explore from.

What I liked the most were the old streets, with the buildings, including the Angra do Heroismo Museum. However, there were a few minor annoyances:
1. The Tourust Information booth was useless, and you couldn't book a tour on-site.
2. The routes were pretty narrow, and people parked on the street, and nearly everyone drove, which made it a bit perilous for those on foot.
Nevertheless, the people were nice, and most spoke English

We did a lot of walking as it’s often the best way to get to know a place. Angra has much to offer in the way of history, beautiful public gardens, views - we climbed Monte Brasil - churches and eateries.

Beautiful, walkable downtown. People were so friendly.
Beautiful, walkable downtown. People were so friendly. Stunning views both looking at Monte Brasil and from Monte Brasil looking back toward town. The pink cathedral was very interesting, worth a stop in. Food was excellent! We especially enjoyed O Forno for dessert and the many tapas restaurants on Rua de Sāo Joāo. We also went scuba diving and found Nuno with Deep Blue Azores to be fantastic - wonderful dive master and very interactive underwater. Wonderful island and already itching to go back!

I was only there for one day, which was definitely not enough! Still, I was able to do a hike at Monte Brasil and explore Angra do Heroísmo downtown. Really recommend Monte Brasil if you are looking for some nature near town. Besides that the view from Obelisco do Alto da Memoria is amazing! I had lunch at Tasca das Tias, a really cute restaurante with great food.

Super accommodation, good value for money. Well-equipped apartment. One of the most comfortable beds I've ever been in a hotel, I loved it! The sofa and the whole arrangement of the apartment was nice. They had Ritual products in the bathroom, it was great, I appreciated it. The breakfast and the restaurant is also great. The breakfasts I loved. I had dinner in the restaurant once, it was nice and delicious, however, quite pricy though. The staff was very kind and helpful with all requests and questions. Thank you.
The atmosphere in dorms was fantastic - we got to know amazing people there! Andre and Ana are so kind and helpful and always ready to chat about everything! You can clearly see that the place is managed by people with passion towards traveling and others. If you really want to see what Angra do Heroismo is about, to literally feel the city, it’s a 100% GO - the enormous balcony with the view of the inner city will provide you that, especially with finest azorian wine and after the dark.
Our experience with Margarida and the property made us feel very welcome in Terceira/Angra do Heroísmo! Great location and comfortable room for the price. Margarida was a wonderful host making sure we had everything we needed yet also giving us privacy - she even invited us to the patio for dessert and music with her family upon our arrival! The communal kitchen was a plus with a fridge shelf for groceries, plenty of coffee/tea, cooking materials, and cereals.
View was fabulous; room was airy and comfortable; breakfast was excellent; location was amazing - not only picturesque but easy walking to town, marina, restaurants. Small swimming pool fit the bill, and walking the walls of the fort was something truly exceptional. We went on a boat trip with the hotel's recommended tour operator to the Goat Islands - a small but safe open boat, marvelous visit inside a cave on the island and swimming in the blue sea.
Nice stay at Monte Brasil Hotel. Very nice staff and room. I liked the location as it was in the center but it was quiet at night. The breakfast was pretty good with nice scrambled eggs and decent breads. The coffee wasn't to my liking but I find this to be the case in most hotels in Portugal. Bars and cafés have wonderful coffee so I just would grab an expresso close to the hotel. Overall experience at the hotel was positive.
Wonderful apartment, well equipped with a large bedroom and bathroom on the ground level and a spacious loft and bathroom upstairs. Great location with an easy walk into town. Huge patio to sit in the sun and have your coffee or glass of wine. A perfect place to stay and enjoy beautiful Angra do Heroismo. Very reasonably priced and very good value for money.
This place is very nice:
- Has a great location, in between the airport and Angra Heroismo, and you can reach out to various hiking places.
- Great view: coast view of an island and the Atlantic
- Quiet and with a nice garden and patio and BBQ facilities
- Super breakfast with special surprises
- Host / staff very friendly, responsive, helpful
Hard to imagine a better hotel (maybe it would have a pool and a bar open Sunday and Monday nights). Exquisitely designed suites with a real stove, delicious food in the restaurant including full breakfast, recessed lighting, high-end ceramics, plus a relaxed and kind staff. The restaurant has an excellent and reasonably priced wine list.
Beautiful room, beautiful view, amazing breakfast, incredible staff. Loved that it was within a short walking distance of the main town, and the all-glass facade means you're seeing ocean views basically everywhere you go in the hotel. The staff were really warm and helpful, arranging airport transportation for me at both ends of my trip.
Very new, clean, comfortable and well situated hotel in the center of Angra do Heroismo. The friendly staff is always ready to help and breakfast was great. Highly recommended for those who want to explore Angra do Heroismo on foot and Terceira by car.
Very pleasant and accommodating owner Joaquina. High speed wifi available. Very spacious and comfortable accommodations. The bus to the nearby towns (Angra do Heroísmo and Praia da Victoria) runs every hour (until about 7 p.m.).
Getting a room with a view is absolutely worth it, the view is just gorgeous. We loved the location, a little bit further from the center of Angra do Heroismo, but a short walk away. I thought breakfast had a good variety too.
Quick stay for a layover, staff were friendly and gave me some local tips and arranged for a taxi to the airport for my early morning flight. Centrally located and a quick walk to all the sites in Angra do Heroismo!
The Hotel was EXCELLENT , the Service SUPER , I m HIGHLY recommending the Beira Mar Hotel .Food both for breakfast and at their restaurant was Super. A 5 stars stay for me.
Good location, with a free hotel's parking inside the yard. Good room, big bathroom, everything was clean. Corridors with forest prints are magical! Rich breakfast.
Location, friendliness of staff and owners and beauty of the farm. A piece of countryside in the heart of the city of Angra do Heroísmo. Highly recommended!
GREAT Location walking distance to the BEAUTIFUL downtown area, free and close parking, LOVELY outdoor space in back of the hotel, and WONDERFUL hosts!
