It was a great house with a number of rooms for rent - that shared the kitchen and livingroom. I always enjoy this arrangement. My own room was large, had a great huge window to the backyard. I chose this location as it was outside of Copimbra between small villages and very close to a great birding spot I wanted to check out. The kitchen had great supplies, and snacks. The bed was property comfortable. aria met me and showed me around. She was lovely. There were some great restaurants around as well. All in all a great one night stay.

Very quiet and cool at night. Maarten and Stefanie and kids are very kind. Invited me to their dinner table for delicious Spinach pie. A fabulous breakfast, that overwhelmed me.

Their breakfast was a nice way to begin the day. The staff was very accommodating. Upon arrival to the property on a hot day, the pool was very inviting. The water was cold, but refreshing. It wasn't too far to drive to the bridge parking lot to walk into town.

we loved our stay! it was the perfect rural retreat! we explored all the castles and ruins around us, only 1 hour or less to most sights. the use of the grill for our dinner was wonderful, as was the relaxing day around the pool. would highly recommend Casa Da Azenha Castellem.

Everything was wonderful. The host was very welcoming. Helped answer all my questions. The pool was great and very refreshing. Breakfast was many different choices.

Good room with large balcony and very adequate bathroom with shower in bath. Excellent towels. Minor room problems dealt with rapidly. Lovely large lawn area and good swimming pool. Reception staff on arrival and departure were not particularly welcoming or friendly..public rooms were all large light and comfortable.
