I was so happy to visit this region of Portugal. The highlands. I came to ski. And Luna Hotel Serra da Estrela was my Home Base. The hotel was lovely, and the staff were fantastic! The first shift Receptionist Tuesday morning was Super Helpful and lovely! Can you thank her for me? (I didn’t get her name unfortunately…) Also, a special thank you to Luis. We had dinner at the Restaurant Medieval. And it was Wonderful!!! Great, friendly staff, and excellent food… I will visit again for sure!!!

I love the location, walkable distance from our interest points. Breakfast and staff were great. Room was spacious and comfortable. We would stay over again when visiting the area.

Everything! Relatively new and very well maintained facilities, amazing ocean and golf courts scenery, great spa, indoor and outdoor pools, good breakfast, nice location with lots of activities nearby. AMAZING.

All the staff were really helpful, the restaurant had amazing food not just for breakfast, but for lunch and dinner as well. The pool was big enough for everyone who wanted to enjoy it, and the jacuzzi made it even more special. The hotel is good for children and has space for play and music shows every night.

Amazing facilities. Brand new climbing gym with bouldering, auto belays and lead climbing. Rooftop pool with views of the castle. Nice breakfast and lunch snacks at the restaurant.

The SPA is great and the staff was very kind

We enjoyed everything. The dining experience was better than expected, and had some of the best service I've had, along with really good food. Portuguese Stew as a started is highly recommended.

I loved being on the beach. Just walk out the door, the promenade and beach were right there. The staff were friendly. The hotel was clean.

Jacuzzi included in the price, breakfast, reception information in french. English and Portuguese. Nice bedroom, clean, good shower

Good value for the $..great staff clean and comfy..our room was small but had a balcony breakfast was basic but good plenty of it .

The hotel was a stopover on a trip north. It was located perfectly to continue the drive the next day. A great value for the money.

Friendly, helpful and welcoming personnel. Amazing breakfast with incredible views of the city and the river. Secured parking garage (across street) was very convenient. Near eats and cafes. Walkable to university, new and old cathedrals ….in a hilly areas.

Very comfortable room, bathroom and spacious lobby area. Nice facilities for cyclists too. Secure storage, bike pump and stand. The breakfast was incredible! So much to choose from. Very good!

It is our 4th stay at this property- 2017, 2018, 2019 and now in 2025. It is close to the Sanctuary and the facilities are perfect. The lady at the restaurant is gracefully ageing as we have seen over the years - such a caring and lovely soul.

we stayed during Carnaval, so we really appreciated the noise canceling windows. Even though we could still hear a lot, the noise was noting compared to the real one outside :D also the room was an amazing size. we had more than enough space for our luggage and even sitting area. amazing room. the staff was also always super welcoming and nice. felt like family for a few days.

Hotel was very clean and smelled good. The twin beds were spacious. Also, hotel is in quiet area. The hotel has an awesome breakfast in the morning. The hotel staff are very professional and helpful. Also, the have hair dryer at front desk that you can borrow. Nice restaurants within walking distance of hotel. We love restaurant tulip.
