You have to drive a couple hours out into the countryside if you want to do any nice hikes or go to the beach. It's also not especially cheap. Not crazy expensive, either. I saw Bucharest 22 years ago, it was nice, but somehow sad in the same time. It's nowadays a vibrant city blooming. It's nice to see the Romanians have handled their destiny with pride. When center was mostly empty of commercial activities, it's now filled with everything catching the eye. Bookstores, furniture's, design, clothes shop.. A lots of bars and restaurants, artistic places to experience. A lot of efforts have been done in restoring the Innercity and improving parks. It's easy to wander everywhere with good metro/tram/bus connectivity, to experience a cleaving mix between modernism and remains of its komi past. It has still a lot of contrasts, life's not easy for everyone. It delivers a colorful scene always steaming during the week.Alexandre - 8.0Scored 8.0
