As the name suggests, the hotel offers beautiful views of Chiang Dao Mountain from the rooftop restaurant.
The hotel has a large pool and fully equipped gym, both well maintained. Staff, both in reception and the restaurant, were lovely and helpful.
The bed in our room was comfortable and the room a good size, decent AC and a fridge.

Serene n quiet. Next to the river and just a short walk to the hot spring. The air is fresh and cool. The host Khun On was kind and helpful that cooks up a delicious breakfast. They have 3 lovely dogs that can keep you occupied.

Welcoming little town well worth visiting. The temple and the caves are great but the best thing for me was that I stumbled into a bar up near the cave which is called . . The Cave bar. This place has to be visited if at all possible. Wonderful hostess and a really chilled, funky vibe.

Not touristic at all, and the local people not friendly.
Not recommend for solo travelers especially women. The treat very primitive.
No way to travel without scooter. There aren't taxi or bicycle available.
The nature around nice, also the caves. The mountain at night stunning.
The hot spring nice but not a big deal..
Nest 2 restaurant very recommended.
There is a realy nice Thursday market between 5-8 pm
Don't take more than 3 days There and don't expect to nice hospitality..

So if you'd like to get off the beaten track somewhat the Chiang Dao, the 1 hour bus ride north of Chiang Mai might be just the ticket. Nestled next to soaring, cloud-wreathed peaks, the pace of life slows down, there's interesting caves to explore, a riverside hot spring and Tuesday covered market.

We ended up staying 3 nights from the original 2 nights. There are a lot to see and explore. We didn't even go to the cave. There is a hot spring not far from town but the smell is too strong for me. Another one is Pong Arng hot springs, part of the Pha Daeng National Park, some 30km out from the bus station. Tickets are 100 baht for foreigners adults, 20 baht for Thai nationals which also admit you to the Sri Sangwan Waterfall some 5-6 km from there. The longan plantations as far as eyes can see, and the mountains view as the sun sets are just beautiful. You may get "lost" in some picturesque cul-de-sac temples or villages which you will never regret!

Chiang Dao is a lovely place to be with nature.
Chiang Dao is a lovely place to be with nature. The hot springs are a highlight, and many accomodations offer a view of the awesome Doi Luang.
From Chiang Mai the route is very simple and close enough to be comfortable (about 1hr30mins).
It's a great place to relax, reconnect with nature, maybe hike.
Chiang Dao Hostel is like a home away from home. It was a great stay, this is why I extented my days there. The garden is like a little paradise.
The manager speaks fluent english and she is very very kind and helpful. The hostel is a little walk away from the center, but I enjoyed little walks to get food etc. It is possible to walk/ hike in 90 minutes either to the hot Springs or the cave.
I had a great stay and I will definitly come back. Thank you cat and nok🙏
The atmosphere is relaxing. The resort is located in the heart of Chiang Dao. Easy to access to many remarkable places. Staffs treats you like a member of family, very welcoming .I stayed here twice in the last 3 years and many more to come .
It will be rude not to mention about the stunning Mountain View by the swimming pool . I watched sunset while swimming, what a paradise on earth.
Thank you for the local fruit basket you gave me too :)
Idyllic peaceful setting and a wonderfully comfortable, spacious and well equipped bungalow. On seeing this we immediately extended our planned visit by an extra 3 days. With delicious, varied and filling breakfasts and dinners (with beer) included in the price Wes Village allowed us to relax completely. The staff led by Soi were ever friendly, helpful and efficient. Scooter hire also available to explore Chiang Dao.
The atmosphere at this resort is so serene and quiet. The owner is extremely friendly and does everything to make you feel welcome. Breakfast is delicious with lots of fresh fruit, amazing coffee and freshly made eggs (omelette, fried, …). Great view of Doi Chiang Dao (the mountain) right from your breakfast table. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. 100% recommendation!
A few month ago, My partner and I had stayed Ashi Guesthouse for our first time visit Chiang Dao, WE enjoy our time very much in Jack's Room. This is a second time that I am booking a room for my parents anniversary and they had such a great weekend away at Ahi Guesthouse. Thank you so much for Khun Oil and her staffs who made everything so wonderful for my parents.
The room is traditional Lanna type, very beautiful and clean. At night, we can see a lot of stars in the sky, unforgettable view! And the host is very hospitable, and knows everything about Chiang Dao. The places he recommended us to visit are all fantastic. Also the breakfast here is delicious too. Very good accommodation, we will definitely come back again
This is a very private spot as there are only 3 rooms. wonderful location. The man who worked there was very quick to communicate with me prior to our arrival and assisted us with getting there since we did not have our own vehicle. The setting is fantastic. The restaurant/cafe is wonderful. We hope to return on our next trip to Thailand.
Staying here was such a blessing ! Naree was so kind to me and my girlfriend. We will definitely comeback.
The property is big and so beautiful with an astonishing view! Quite and peaceful. Great place to relax all day.
Best place to stay in Chiang Dao 100%
yummy place to eat down the road too.
Cant wait to comeback :D <3
Great and caring hosts, awesome view from the open terrrace, where you could even get yourself a message. The location is just great, woke up with a view on the montains and on top of it is very close to the Chiang Dao caves. I just loved it there, a place where you can relax and unwind. I will definitely come back.
Perfect countryside house, big enough to accommodate up to 5 people (with all you can need during your stay, kitchen stuff, towels, shampoo and shower gel,…).
The house is surrounded by nature with a nice view on the Chiang Dao mountain.
Amazing value for money !
Everything! It’s so special, full of character yet simple and authentic. It was awesome to stay there for a couple of nights, explore Chiang Dao and we even got engaged at the restaurant next door ☺️
If we ever come back - we will definitely stay there again!
We had a lovely stay in Chiang Dao thanks to Nùeng and his family. They were super welcoming, caring and helpful, the bungalow & its terrace were great. Breakfast was delicious, with everything home cooked. Definitely recommend this place :) Thanks!
Beautiful, relaxing property with a river running alongside it! One of the nicest hostels I have ever stayed in. The hosts were very kind and even called in a mechanic when our motorbike (which we rented from a separate company) got a flat tire!
Serenity1 Homestay has been the perfect location for our honeymoon, thanks to the attentive care of the host, beautiful view of the Chiang Dao mountain and welcoming room. We definetly recommend this homestay if you are staying in Chiang Dao.
We had a wonderful stay here. Most comfortable bed and bedding I’ve had in Thailand! Beautiful roundhouse, nice and quiet Neighbour hood, lovely view of the mountain. Susie and her staff are lovely very friendly. Super clean room
This is a beautiful resort with exceptional views. The stream running right through the middle adds a great element. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. The restaurant was great. I highly recommend!
