Bangkok never sleeps, or so you might think as you fly into Suvarnabhumi International Airport. From luxurious mega malls like MBK and Siam Discovery in Siam Square to the famous Khao San Road in the Banglamphu district, this hard working city is packed with commerce, fiery food and soothing temples.
Catch a boat up river on the Chao Phraya Express or discover different neighborhoods on the blissfully air-conditioned BTS Skytrain. A taxi or exhilarating tuk-tuk ride is never far away from the big attractions, which include Chinatown, Jim Thompson House and the floating markets at Damnoen Saduak.
To step out of the frenetic energy of street food stalls, amulet markets and the sizzling temperatures, discover an oasis of calm in one of the many Buddhist temples. Be awed by the majesty of the Grand Palace and marvel at the world’s longest reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. While you’re there why not relax even more with a traditional Thai massage?
From the sky-scraping luxury hotels with world famous rooftop bars to a cheap hostel bed in the center of town, Booking.com will help you explore all that Bangkok has to offer.
A city with a lot to see and do. We enjoyed touring the city but probably 3-4 days is enough to spend there. The weed is out of control. Do not take taxis or grab if possible as traffic is crazy. Use the good train service,
Bangkok seems to be the most expensive city in SE Asia compared to Vietnam, Cambodia, Loas and Cambodia. Prices are not cheap if that's your impression. The Bangkok infrastructure is good and very modern but still offers that old historic feel in parts which I like. There is very good street food too.

Be carefull. Everyone everywhere try to cheat on tourists.
Be carefull. Everyone everywhere try to cheat on tourists. Definitely dont go with tuc tuc, but instead use grab. And dont trust people on the streets in blue shirts selling tours or telling things about other touristical objects. Boat tour is nothing and the river is very dirty. China town is nice place for shopping.

It’s all interesting… like travelling to another planet. Many people speak enough English to assist you and are happy to do so… even complete strangers. Google mapping makes getting around a breeze if you need it.
It’s an assault on the senses but you can find tranquility if you desire it.

I spent three days in Bangkok on the way back home from Indonesia. It was my third visit but I still haven't seen everything I'm interested in. This time I visited amulet market, Grand Palace, Siam Museum, rooftop bar at SO hotel, Wat Paknam and Big Budha temple, Klong Bang Luang Floating Market, Arun Riverside rooftop restaurant, ICONSIAM mall and viewing terrace and Meridian Chaopraya river Cruise. Tip: I was able to hire a small boat trip from Wat Paknam to Bang Luang market only for 500 THB. Just ask passers-by.

The temperature was hot but expected with rain for a while mostly at night but it is the rainy season and anyway the rain clears and because of the heat the place dries up quickly. The location I stayed at was just adequate but cheap and I only got what I paid for. The people are so polite and helpful and always seem to be in good form and smiling a lot. Most of the street signs are in English as well as thai but if you loose your way there is almost always someone in a shop or even on the street who will gladly help you with directions in fair English. I love Bangkok. The ladies are so petite and beautiful

Though most local people doesn’t speak in English , they are still friendly . I will come back again soon.It is easy to get around in Bangkok via Metro train, grab cars and you will find a lot of quality and unique clothes there.
The price of the hotel was very good. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel was near the skytrain so was easy to get around. There were places to eat nearby and a food market. We also enjoyed the Jazz Bar about 5-10 minutes from the hotel. Also, about 40 minutes from the airport for transfers. We left our luggage at the hotel for 2 weeks whilst we went travelling and collected on our return to the hotel, this was a great convenience for us. We would stay here again if visiting Bangkok.
The lady at the reception was very friendly. I had stored my luggage beyond their work hours on the day of check out and she patiently waited for me after her work hours.
The rooms were clean and quiet with no weird smell. I booked the hotel for a short stay to transport, so the location was perfect for me as the MRT metro station was near by. The only downside is that it is a little farther away from the main attractions in Bangkok but the booking price more than makes up for that.
Such an amazing find! I understand why this place gets booked out so quickly. Beautiful staff that could not possibly be more helpful, even booked my coach/ferry to Koh Samui and booked an appointment at immigration office for me.
Location is perfect, AMAZING Thai restaurant only a few minutes walk away (Kao Tom Thewet) and although the hotel is close/easy access to everything it is also incredibly quiet and peaceful.
I would never chose to stay anywhere else in Bangkok now.
Phenominal ambiance and entertainment with beautifully decorated rooms to match. Staff super helpful and efficient and made everything a pleause . Design and decor fantastic . Khun Yosh and his counterpart at the front dest were so kind . We will most definately visit again and am rather sad that we never swapped the high priced hotels on Sukumwit for Shanghai Mansion years ago . This is our new go to place in Bangkok !
Excellent location, superb restaurants. I honestly recommend this property over every hotel I’ve stayed at in Bangkok. And I’ve stayed at many 5 star properties there…
Well managed, priced well, best location opposite the BTS Skytrain. One of their bars faces the rail cars as they pass by…incredible pool in a grotto setting, huge modern gym. This will be my go to for any future trip to Bangkok…
All the staff are very friendly and accomodating, we started our stay here for the first part of our trip before travelling to other parts of Thailand across a mix of resorts, private villas and hotels. Sivatel was one of our top 3 stays and if we visit Bangkok in the future we would come back. The rooms are clean and spacious and overall facilities are well maintained.
Nicely finished, great pool with views, restaurant on site was very nice Mediterranean food albeit a little more pricey than you would typically pay in Bangkok. Easy to get a cab to the airport from here. Staff were very eager to help.
There is a canteen type food court in the retail area with well priced food beneath the hotel - worth popping to.
Pool was lovely, a great way to unwind after a sweaty walk through Thailand. The location we enjoyed as it wasn’t close to other hotels and gave you a glimpse of the real backstreet Bangkok way of life. There were some nice little places close by to eat. The 7-11 next door made life easy! The staff were also very nice and helpful.
Incredible location, close to the metro. Whatever other people say in our experience this area felt safe, never felt uncomfortable. Very clean, they gave us great bathroom toiletry and above all surprisingly the restaurant attached to the hotel "Munch", was some of the best food we had while in Bangkok at a great price too!
proximity to airport rail link was less than 5min away. hotel is also located near Pratunam, the heart of shopping in Bangkok. Room was fully furnished with all the necessities, and very spacious, enough for packing of our big luggages and shopping. staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The staff especially the front desk officer named Ms. Belle was so accommodating. The room boys and chamberlain are good, they doing their job smoothly. If I have again seminars or other things to do in Bangkok I'd like to book again Red Planet Hotel. 😊
Still one of my favorite hotels in Bangkok. The walk to the Ari or Saphan Kwai BTS station is not that far and more than worth it for the hotel being set back off the main road in one of Bangkok's most vibrant neighborhoods.
If you spend extended time on your computer then you won't find a better hotel in Bangkok. Rooms have big nice desks and proper office chairs! I think it's worth it to spend a bit more and stay in the city view rooms.
The hotel offers a charming Thai ambiance with comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Its proximity to Nana BTS makes it an ideal choice for exploring Bangkok. Great value for the price.
The BEST. Of all the midpriced hotels I've been around Bangkok, by far the best. Modern, dry, beautiful, functional, great room service even though the hotel doesn't have a restaurant.
I love to try different hotels in Bangkok whenever I travel. But this was perfect enough, price value for money Kudos to the staff for their hospitality. I will come back for sure
We caught the train from the airport into Bangkok. The hotel was an easy walk from the station, close to shopping, food, etc. Standard hotel room, clean, reasonably priced.
one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. excellent service. super friendly staff. perfect location . big rooms. this will be my to go hotel whenever I stay in Bangkok.
The location is great for exploring Bangkok city.
Comfortable stay with all the facilities and necessary amenities required. Good hotel at affordable prices.
