Our room was very nice . Great beds and convenient location. On the last night we had (new neighbors ) that were very loud . Told the desk staff and they actually moved those noisy guests to a different room ! Impressive staff ! The lobby could use a refresh but when we checked in to our room. .. no complaints!

Tranquilo, hotel in Fort Lauderdale

Only 5 minutes' walk from the beach and 6 minutes' drive from The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale shopping mall, this hotel offers accommodations in a central location.

For the first time I didn't like staying in Tranquilo. There were couple of Cubans (or other latinos) who were disturbing everyone with extremely loud latino music for 3 days. Management did nothing to provide peaceful stay to non-latino customers. This is huge discrimination knowing that Florida is not a latino country and that everyone do not want to be forcefully exposed to latino music. (disgusting behavior of latino customers)

Fort Lauderdale is beautiful with its canals and waterways. The local restaurants are lovely and have great food and service. There are places there that we don't have at home like getting milkshakes at Dairy Queen. The unique bistros had great food and the employees were very polite.

Fort Lauderdale is a hidden gem. Its very nice and calm but still offering nice activities and life. The Las Olas is a very beautiful street and the area called "little Venice" is magical. The Fort Lauderdale beach is must as there are plenty activities to enjoy near the huge coastline of the beachfront.

I love the area, with the style & ambience of miami a-bit-further south, but without the crowds nor the over-the-top lifestyle --- the number of mid-age & older gay white men to meet ✓all-around broward county, not just in the adjacent wilton-manors & oakland-park areas, is good 😉

I was here to embark a cruise. I had one full day free between arrival and departing. I had visited Everglades previously and am not a big fan of beaches, so i found a limited number of things to do. I took a water taxi -spent about 3 hours on it - and enjoyed walking in Los Olas.

While we are used to more fancy stays and this hotel needs some things upgraded, we were absolutely contented by this quaint only 8 room location. There are numerous places to stay in the area, but none with this wonderful feel right on the beach. I would return again and again, but if it changes we will not. Ms V is an absolute help and cares so much about cleanliness and whatever you need. This is a personal and fantastic touch! Anyone who has been in a villa knows things are old but wonderful for it!

Charming South Florida style hotel with great location close to the beach.Stylish and spacious rooms (we were 2 adults snd two children) Front staff very friendly and always happy to help! Valet staff also very service minded and understood that the valet parking was a bit pricey for us (46$ per day) and suggested a few parking spots across the road were we could park for free. Lovely little play area for children with pingpong table and some others games.

We loved the cute, vintage vibe of this place tucked behind huge chain hotels and condos. Out of the 4 pools we found, only 1 was heated, but it was very warm (probably 90 F) which was great since we stayed in Feb. Location was perfect- close walk to the beach and some restaurants. Room was very spacious for our family of 6. Lots of cute sitting areas where we could site outside to have a coffee and pastry from the bakery down the block. Staff was great!

The hotel is close to the main central area of Fort Lauderdale and the Bonnet House, water taxi and beach are easy to access by foot. Parking is plentiful and free around the hotel and there is a very good Italian restaurant 5 minutes away by foot along the main road into Fort Lauderdale. The room was spacious and quiet with a terrace area in front with a table chairs and lounger. There was a swimming pool but we did not use it.

Location was great. On the beach and within walking distance of restaurants. Hotel had bikes available free of charge for 2 hour blocks. Loved the dispensers of water in the lobby and by the pool. Beach loungers and towels were easy to get every morning. Loved the coffee machine and fridge in room (although a larger fridge and microwave in room would have been better especailly when traveling with young children).
