Breakfast was good. The sausage patties were burnt, but the bacon and sausage links were well done and tasty. The scrambled eggs were done well and waffle maker was excellent. Would’ve liked a larger variety of fruit. Breakfast more than my expectations.

We experienced one of the best Rooms that the Carey House had to offer. The bed was comfortable and the room was exactly what we expected. The Hotel location was right downtown, and was the perfect launching point for all out activities.

Friendly check in up the road at their other motel. Room was clean and comfortable. Landscaping around motel was pleasant and there was plenty of places to relax on a bench around the pool or on the lawn.

The only issue was having to wait for an early check in, which i understand they were pretty full. I which hotels had a way to accomodate people traveling wanting to check-in in the mornings. Robin was very pleasant and accommodating. I think my only complain would be the bed was a bit uncomfortable you could feel the springs. Maybe a new bed for that room. Other then that I will definitely come back. The shower worked great! Great service and the room was clean and comfortable.

    It is a live town.

It is a live town. They kept the country/cowboy look but everything inside is modern blended real well. I am glad that the economy is ok -0 if we could do this to all cities in America, it would be wonderful. Been to cowboy towns but it was dying. Hurts the heart. America is cowboy country. Where I stayed at, it was close to all the tourist spots for Placerville so no issue on traffic or long drives although a tourist knows that to find information, if you flew or drove over, you know that a lot of searching is involved.

I liked that it was near a freeway and grocery store. We ate downtown. I would avoid this motel. It was passable but it lacked a lot of amenties I needed. It was not that clean and some of the lamps didn't work. The TV had terrible reception, too.

Our trip was cut short because the hotel was advertised as handicap accessible on their web page and it was not. We booked a suite and it was hardly that. It had a kitchenette, but no dishes, one pan, two cups, the carpet was filthy, the couch was uncomfortable, the room was small and the bathroom was inacessable for my husband's wheelchair. The staff was rude.

Liked that it was centrally located. It was quiet. There is no elevator but, that was ok for us. They didn’t come to clean or give us fresh towels. I called the front desk to ask for 2 bath towels and he said that he would send them right up and nobody came 🤷🏻‍♀️

Placerville is very nice place located up the Sierra Mountains were the temperature is cooler than down in the valley. Yet, it is only 20 minutes away from Folsom, and probably 40 minutes from downtown Sacramento. There are a lot of restaurants and bars in historic Placerville and also a lot of places to hike.

I was there for the Hangtown Wild West and Steampunk Festival, where my Civil War reenacting club had an exhibit. I spent the whole time at the fairgrounds. I wish I had had more time to explore the fairgrounds--seemed delightful!

We really enjoyed our stay. Nice friendly, helpful staff. The room was quite large, and the bed was very comfortable. Shower was also very good. Location was good for us but maybe too far out of Placerville for others. Mexican restaurant next door was extremely handy. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Free car parking was a great bonus.

2nd time staying--Husband and I rode our motorcycles from Chico to visit friends in Placerville. I love this place because the desk lady is super friendly and it is in a beautiful location, plus Grocery Outlet is a 1-min walk away :)

The decor was beautiful, in our room and the rest of the hotel. I appreciated the little bits of history and photos that told the story of the place.
