Ever since a problem was encountered on Apollo 13, Houston has been an international household name. The 4th largest US city, it is home to NASA’s Johnson Space Center where Mission Control is located. Of course, this is not its only claim to fame. This is Texas after all, where everything is big.
Houston’s Reliant Astrodome was the world’s first indoor sports stadium under a domed roof, and the Galleria is the largest mall in Texas. The city’s Livestock Show and Rodeo is the largest in the world, and the JP Morgan Chase Tower is the planet’s tallest 5-sided building. The list goes on.
Amid the skyscrapers of the thriving CBD is the Toyota Center, home of the city’s NBA and AHL teams. The theatre district is also in the downtown area, whereas the museum district is concentrated to the north-east of Hermann Park, home of a boating lake, nature reserve and miniature railway. Also here is Houston Zoo, and just west is Rice University, one of several in the city.
The bohemian Rice Village is popular with students, as are the city’s historic pubs and leafy parks. Houston also has no shortage of restaurants or accommodation options. Those on Booking.com include motels, apartments and hotels near George Bush Airport.

Try to get the Houston City Pass if you plan to stay at least 3 days. It´s a lot cheaper. We fully recommend you go to an Astros game in the late afternoon so you have time in the morning to go to the Galleria. Visit the Museum of Natural Science, Kemah Boardwalk, Houston Space Center—and KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot near NASA for dine-in.

I have a horrible experience at the airport.
I have a horrible experience at the airport. Arrived at 10pm and had to wait 12 hours for the luggage, and there was no place to eat. I have reserved a prepaid a hotel and when arrived to the property it was fully booked and can't check-in and lost the reservation money. In addition that have to take a taxi from the airport to the property that cost $75 for a 8 minutes drive.

I didn’t realize how many hospitals there were in Houston.
I didn’t realize how many hospitals there were in Houston. And NASA, too. The hospitals there and NASA makes it a world class city in my books. The roads that had 12 lanes were pretty intimidating. I was glad I was not the driver. The placement of signs was rather confusing also. We were in Houston to see the Rolling Stones concert and have seen them in Houston previously. Probably Houston is the destination for many other top rated shows.

The only acceptable item was its location although a but misleading. The energy corridor isn't so close..
The hotel facilities a real nightmare, not worth one single night; stinky worn out carpets, hot humid hals ( saving energy..), third rate toiletries, shaky toilet, no cable ( saving money again), noisy antiquated air conditioning ( third world type..), lousy breakfast ( saving money too..) .it is one of those franchises run by family, not what a real honest Quinta Inn is supposed to be.

Loved the Zoo, it was a great experience and well ran, clean and plenty of rest areas. Loved the cable car which was really cheap, $1.35 to ride the whole length of it. Used this to get to the Zoo, also to get the park, and for the NRG stadium to see the Rolling Stones. Wasn't sure about using it after reading some of the reviews of problems with the homelessness riding the cars all day and drugs being an issue, however whilst there was evidence of this on some of the cars, there was no issue or problems, and I felt safe at all times. Spent a few evenings in Moonshiners, great bar, great cocktails and food.

Houston is a vibrant city with lively bars and restaurants.
Houston is a vibrant city with lively bars and restaurants. Make sure you visit Congress Bridge at dusk to see the famous bat, on your way to the bridge call into Cooper's BQQ situated between 2nd and 3rd Street on Congress, you won't regret it! Also visit the Congress building to admire the architecture.
I would also recommend venturing out of the city by walking down 6th Street under the I35 and you will discover a very nice area with many new bars, restaurants and micro breweries. I would recommend Zilker (Great hot chicken Spicy Boys Food Truck) & Lazarus Micro Breweries. Then walk up past the cemetery to Saddle Up Brewery & BBQ Pit.
Very clean hotel in an extremely nice area of Houston, it's right off of the highway so you can access anywhere quickly, it's about 20 minutes from downtown HTX, the room was comfortable and clean, check in and out was a breeze, the parking lot was very well lit and easy to get in and out of with ease. The hotel provided breakfast which was pretty good compared to other hotels, they also have a full bar in the lobby with a nice social area. Definitely was a perfect stay for our weekend stay!
I liked it at first until the property asked me and my fiancé to leave and check out and did not refund us our money we had no damages to the room no chaos and they discriminated against us for being a gay biracial couple I lost $420 at this hotel and still have no been reimbursed during a vacation in which I ended up stuck in Houston Texas when I’m traveling from California I had to ask family and friends to help fly me back to California and this ruined my honeymoon vacation
Good location, it's right off I-59/69. The hotel staff were welcoming & friendly. Josh was a big help & he has the best energy. There are restaurants near & the Galleria mall is around the corner. The area is nice & clean. I wasn't looking for fancy & upscale, just somewhere comfortable to stay for the wknd & this place served the purpose. Also, make sure when you check in to ask for your dish set because there won't be any in the room.
Located short drive from Texas Medical Center (TMC; eg, 5-min drive or 20-min walk to MD Anderson), ideal if you are visiting TMC, otherwise bit of a drive (definitely not walking distance) from other sights including Museum District and downtown. New building (2023), spacious room, modern design. Exceptionally good breakfast.
This hotel was in a great location for eating out and seeing the sites located Downtown. It also had great wifi which made planning each day in Houston really easy. The room was very spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we loved the self check in/out option.
Very comfortable and spacious guestroom. Breakfast was very good. Superior to previous experiences both at La Quinta and other similar hotel chains. It did exceed our expectations, Very modern, provides gym center and laundry facility. Conveniently located to drive to downtown Houston and to reach IAH airport.
Loved the location of the hotel. Right in downtown and walking distance to a lot of great attractions. Also liked how it had the old feel to it. Looked very classic! The free water bottles you feel yourself was pretty cool. Our room had an amazing view on 3 sides!! MEGAN WHO WORKS UP FRONT IS THE BEST!!
Top to bottom simply one of the best budget stays I have ever booked. Just impressed with the cleanliness of every single amenity, friendly staff, full breakfast, memory foam pillows, and i could go on but this will be a go to stay when visiting Houston. Thank you Best Western Galleria. ☆☆☆☆☆
Location to the venue was excellent. Easy parking across the street in front of hotel. Centrally located to downtown and walking distance to various restaurants and places to visit.
The best thing about this property is it was close to downtown Houston. The lobby in the pool area was clean. nice in room, coffee maker, and very nice blow dryer in the bathroom.
It was the perfect spot for 2 days at Houston. Not too far from Houston downtown and from the Space Center. The neighborhood is quiet. It was nice for my friend and me.
Location. Hotel is located 5 minutes from galleria Mall which offers a lot in terms of things to do, restaurants and shopping. Around that área are also good options.
The room was SUPER clean -I really needed to find a hotel downtown that was safe and clean and the Best Western PLUS was definitely clean with nice sized room!
The breakfast and coffee was great.
I loved the location of the hotel. There several restaurants near by and we were just minutes from the Galleria mall.
