Very close to the town. You would pay 2.50 per hour to park in town but no charge at the hotel. The breakfast was great for a hotel, as was the pub.

The breakfast could be improved by adding more plain options like just eggs rather than a cheesy omelette. I would have liked to have more meat options as well like sausage or bacon or even little meat patties.

I actually had a really good stay at this property, and the staff were extremely accommodating with my request for an upper level room on the side. Everything was clean and in good repair, and I will very likely book here again, as I think it is a great value for the location.

I liked the beauty of the landscape and the friendliness of the locals. The store in Plain was awesome and they had everything! I highly recommend the small bottles of moonshine, especially the orange creamsicle!
Leavenworth itself was too commercialized, too many people and tourists. In my opinion, it is overrated. I'd rather enjoy the surrounding area, it is so peaceful along the river and walking bridge that's outside the town of Plain.

We rode Amtrak from Seattle which required a two-night stay. We visited during an off-season but on a weekend. Many people visit on the weekends. The weather was warmer during our visit which was nice. We loved the mountain views and air. The shops were interesting. We enjoyed the visit but don't expect to return.

We loved our stay.
We loved our stay. However, I'd recommend staying for 2 nights. Check out things happening during your visit. They do have fun events you might not want to miss! We enjoyed Patterson Cellars! We had flights of wine and live music! The Italian restaurant was amazing!!! (I can't remember the name)

Love how quiet Leavenworth is midweek, especially in the Winter. Check out the Reindeer Farm and a sleigh ride. Floating the river and then around blackbird island is a favorite during the summer, but pack your patience; parking is horrible. Check out the Enchantments, they are just that!

The town itself is beautiful and so are the mountains.
The town itself is beautiful and so are the mountains. But the town is only a 1-2 day town. It gets crowded at night even on weekdays. The parking is probably the worst part we bought sleds for $65 and only used them once. Would just advise going to one of the tubing places and renting. The snow turns to mud quick!! If you like German food you will definitely love the food. Cute shops with decent prices. The ginger bead house had amazing sugar cookies.
The hotel is right on the river and our balcony overlooked the river, which is why we chose that hotel. The bonus for us was that a colony of marmots live on site and they were the cutest things to watch, especially the babies. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the main street in Leavenworth with all the restaurants and shops, and there is a grocery store just across the street. The main riverside park is also within easy walking distance. It was nice to listen to the river as we fell asleep.
Perfect location. My partner and I came to celebrate our 2 year anniversary and we wanted to wine taste and not have to drive. We arrived and parked our car in the free parking and did not touch it till we left 3 days later! This location is perfect if you want to stay IN TOWN and walk/shop/eat. Next trip we might try a place further out but this was perfect for our first trip to Leavenworth. Bed was cozy, room was small, but we managed. There is NO STAFF on property so do not loose your key!
Our breakfast was delivered promptly to our room. Covid restrictions have made things difficult everywhere, but Fairbridge has breakfast arranged well. We had no complaints.
Also, we were in Leavenworth to gather with our grown kids at a campground. We arrived in town about 1:30. We thought we would need to kill time until four, but were let into our room upon arrival, where we could nap. We are seniors
We got a room on the ground floor, much appreciated.
This hotel feels more like a personal bed and breakfast. It is cozy clean and frankly should be considered a 4 star establishment. The breakfast bar is good and the coziness of the lobby and eating area is done with a personal touch. Staff was great and almost always greets you upon entry. You can tell this is family owned and not corporate owned because of the personal touches and quality of staff. Would highly recommend this joint if you have a choice.
We stayed in a 2-bedroom/2-bath at the Wunderbar property which was huge, clean, and wonderful. Although check-in was at a different location. it was easy and nearby. We were very happy that the property had an elevator and large washer/dryer in the unit. The balcony view was pleasant. Loved the location, able to walk right into downtown Leavenworth as well as right near the start if the waterfront trail.
The hotel was very nice and did remind us of Germany where we lived for 3 years. The room was very cleaned and well maintained. The staff at the front desk was extremely nice and answered all of my questions and provided info on best places to eat and see. The location was excellent right across the street from the main areas of Leavenworth.
The lodge is unique. Each room has a small deck on the back facing a cosy courtyard. Ours had really nice decor, two large Queen beds and a kitchenette area. It was really quiet. It is outside Leavenworth and out of the touristy bustle. The drive to and fro Leavenworth was enjoyable.
Comfy beds, hot showers with great water pressure, clean rooms, friendly staff, I loved waking up with the sheep and rooster out back behind the hotel. And it's conveniently located right down the road from downtown Leavenworth. I would recommend this place.
Room was cozy and well kept. Very clean and had everything we needed. The property is very close to downtown Leavenworth. We were able to walk everywhere. We met the hotel manager and she was very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.
The river scene is great. I can spent all day in the balcony. The room is not big but clean, and has all the equipment you need include microware oven and fridge.
The location is good as well. 10 min walk from hotel to downtown.
The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was beautiful. I also loved the provided breakfast- the best of any hotel I've been to- and the amazing staff! The location is right in the center of Leavenworth, too.
Great location. Hotel is beautiful, room is beautiful and breakfast is fantastic.
Arrived with flat tire on car and front desk staff helped us locate tire store and even tried to phone them for us.
Room was clean & comfortable, staff was friendly & helpful, location of hotel was within short walking distance of downtown shopping, restaurants & festivities. Would definitely stay here again.
