The breakfast was outstanding -- a long list of options each prepared fresh. I usually have trouble sleeping in a new bed but I slept for 11 hours straight. The entire place is perfectly designed in 1880s style, each room offering splendid design details to look at and admire. But also modern enough to be subtly air-conditioned which was greatly appreciated on 90degree days. The hosts are very welcoming but never obtrusive. And the "welcome mutt" Stubby is the sweetest little guy. One of the best places I've ever stayed in.

Breakfast was great, kid friendly. Pool was on the smaller side, but my kids had it to themselves both times we went and they loved it (would have loved a hot tub for the parents). Extremely clean, quiet and very comfortable. Kitchen in the room was a bonus. Very happy with our stay.

    Wasn't crazy about location.

    Wasn't crazy about location. Some areas were lovely but some were run down. All the roads seemed to be choppy, and lots of work being done on the roads. Strange, but traffic lights had a very long wait.

    This is an incredible stay that should not be missed.

    This is an incredible stay that should not be missed. The home has amazing history and a phenomenal location across from Emily Dickinsons home. The B&B is meticulously beautiful in every way. If you are interested in architecture, decorative arts, and history you need to experience the dedication and detail the hosts have made possible to bring value and history, comfort ,and pleasure to this stay. It’s a must stay if you have an opportunity to be in Amherst, MA, any time soon! Make a point of visiting on your journey through Western, MA. You will not be disappointed.

    The Amherst campus was pristine and memorable in its additions since l attended decades ago. Bucolic location has been upgraded with additional science, athletic and dorm buildings while maintaining the original beauty of its location in rolling hills of New England. The history alone is worth the visit.

    We had an amazing stay at the Amherst Inn. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to downtown and plenty of great restaurants. The property itself is beautiful, and the breakfasts were wonderful. They make delicious custom omelets with your choice of fresh ingredients.

    It’s a little beautiful Inn located in good residential community near to UMASS Amherst . The owners are nice people and since the hv just bought this property recently they hv done good job upgrading .
