Great location, right on Lake Superior. Near restaurants (5 miles or so) and small grocery stores. Free use of bikes to use on the bike trail, which is right on the property. The pool, hot tub and sauna were great, in older condition but enjoyable. There is also a place to rent kayaks and go in the water (though the water is very chilly). The small kitchen had everything we needed.

Fantastic space for our family trip! The cabin is roomy and well-equipped and in the perfect location for enjoying all the best the North Shore has to offer. The sauna was an amazing bonus and we absolutely LOVED the huge windows looking out on gorgeous trees. We definitely plan on returning!

Our room was basic and clean. Bed was not amazingly comfortable, but was okay. Hotel was quiet. We were there on a Monday night, so the restaurant was closed - and therefore can't comment. Lobby is very woodsy and cute, and there's a nice little gift shop. Ice machine is in the basement, so we had to go down a few floors to get there.

We loved the location - beautiful wooded site - easy access to all the activities we wanted to do. The decor of the townhouse was tasteful "up north''... no kitsch, but "cabin themed." It was well supplied with toiletries, kitchen supplies, and linens. The layout is perfect for 2 adult couples: one bedroom and full bath upstairs, one bedroom and full bath downstairs, and a powder room on the main floor. there were TV's on each floor, too. The beds and furniture were all very comfortable. The instructions and communications from the owners were clear and complete. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    A cute little community on the N Shore. A couple of restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops and a winery are available in the area. The main attractions are the ski hill, the shoreline, and the hiking trails in the area.

    Felt at home away from home.

    Felt at home away from home. Quiet and cozy cabin with all the amenities for a perfect getaway from the humdrum of daily life. One day it was almost summer; warm and sunny. The next day it was winter with beautiful snow shower. Time stood still while watching the rippling tides of Lake Superior and the quiet snowfall with the warmth of fire and coffee. You can’t ask for more for a refreshing Spring break.

    We had read online that Lutsen is a beautiful place to stay. We quite enjoyed our stay there during the summer break. we are looking forward to exploring Lutsen in the winter. And we've heard it is a beautiful place to be in the winter. Looking forward to it... so stay tuned

    I found the desk clerk on duty, Sunday afternoon, August 7, to be rude, unprofessional, and inefficient. I was initially ignored then made to wait while she prepared ice cream floats for a large family.

    Not a lot to do in July in the early part of the week, scenery is beautiful. Was there on a quick get away, only had Sun-Tue. Most everything was closed, we used the location to see things up the North Shore and used the area as our home base.

    What a hidden gem.

    What a hidden gem. This Inn is located very close to the Mountain and very close to the main highway. It was tranquil and restful. Beds are super comfortable. Loved it and would have stayed longer if our schedule had allowed it.

    Pleasantly surprised at how clean & well kept the room was, with very friendly, helpful staff. Conveniently located, within walking distance from the rest of the Lutsen Mountain activities. We even got a voucher for a free s’mores kit, a total hit with the kids! Peaceful setting, convenient, short drive from Grand Marais. We will stay here again.

    This place is much better than we expected. Family and kids friendly. Amazing interior. Quiet place, very close to Lutsen Mountain, 10 miles away delicious breakfast at Cascade restaurant.
