Mendocino Hotel & Garden, hotel in Mendocino

Located by the shops and restaurants along Mendocino’s main street, this pet-friendly hotel is 1 mile from Agate Beach. It features on-site dining and a spa with massage services.

Excellent location within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Staff is helpful and accommodating. We had a huge room decorated with genuine antiques. It was clean though a little shabby. Bathroom and furniture could use updating. The real star is the rugged coastline which is right across the road and easy to walk to a spectacular trail.

Headlands Inn Bed and Breakfast, hotel in Mendocino

Located 5 minutes' walk to the Mendocino Bay beach, the Headlands Inn Bed and Breakfast is in the heart of Mendocino village.

We liked the historic nature of the Inn, our room was quaint and cozy, good light, lots of mirrors for the last check before going out, private bath right outside the room and amazing breakfast in the room that also tastes great despite having gluten and nut allergies. Plenty of warm blankets for chilly Mendocino nights.

Mendocino offers amazing easy but very scenic hiking.

Mendocino offers amazing easy but very scenic hiking. Restaurants are good. The trip on the way in or out is very scenic independently from the road you choose. Always a good overnight stay option when traveling around the region.

Loved this little piece of Heaven tucked into the gorgeous California coast. Small town ...but it has heart. lots of old character homes and heritage buildings. Don't forget to check out the pubs ..super friendly staff and yummy foods and local beers. The bakery is a must if you're looking to expand your waist line. Really enjoyed this little town...captured the essence of that coastal feeling.

    Mendocino is authentic and picturesque.

Mendocino is authentic and picturesque. It is very small and you can easily walk through the whole town in an hour! The shops are cute and there are many beautiful items to choose from if you like shopping. The people are warm and friendly. It is extremely foggy in the morning until about 10 AM and it rolls back in around 4 or 5 PM.

Nice quaint little town of a few shops and restaurants...

Nice quaint little town of a few shops and restaurants period. Don't get confused but the glass beach is not what it was 30 and 40 years ago, In fact most maps don't even list glass beaches anymore and the one North at Fort Bragg is very limited in glass. Too many people took glass home over the years and time/nature led to the ending of glass beaches. Also the practice of dumping garbage and glass bottles in the ocean is not Environmentally friendly.

The staff was super helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and newly renovated. Super pet friendly. They even had a little welcome kit for my pups. Beds were plush and comfortable. Loved the bungalow feel. They had a little campfire area and had stuff for s’mores in the office. Outside seating areas for picnics and sitting. Didn’t feel like I was staying in a hotel. You can tell they put a lot of love and effort into it. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and found myself spending more time in the room because it was so comfortable.

Bed was super comfortable. The whole Inn had so much character and charm. (First Inn in Mendocino) Breakfast was delicious, fruit with yoghurt & with huge homemade warm muffins. Along with coffee or tea and juice. They was even beautiful fresh flowers in the room and on our breakfast tray. Staff reached out to us to make sure we were on track to arrive in check in window. We only wish we had allowed more time to see more of the gorgeous town of Mendocino and surrounding areas.

Rustic charm of the Mendocino coast, stayed in the captain's room with a great balcony view. The location was perfect and the staff was first-rate. The historical house was showing wear and tear from the north coast weather but the inside was nicely furnished and charming. Loved the fireplace in the suite and the afternoon treat of wine and cheese.

Very clean and comfortable overall, with a good location within Mendocino. The communications were complete, proactive and responsive, even though everything was done online and virtually with keypads to get in and out. There were no humans staffing the premises besides the cleaning staff.
