Things I liked:
- People are very polite
Things I liked:
- People are very polite
- The Disney Parks and Universal (but see things I didn't like) - the most thrilling rides are undoubtedly at Universal
- The weather
- Restaurants
- Shopping options
- Gatorland was good - haven't visited on previous visits (although some of the charges there (e.g. for a photo) are high.
Things I didn't like:
- This is my third visit to Orlando and the tipping culture is more extreme than it was previously. In the UK any tip is related to the quality of service received - not so in Orlando. Having received poor service (food for one person in the party arriving very late - the other for had almost finished, drinks orders left on the bar and I eventually collected them myself, asked if I wanted any sauces and they never arrived) I reduced the suuggested tip (most bills suggest 18% / 20% / 25% - the odd one was 20/25/30) to 10% and the server insulted me as a result. On another occassion at the airport I visited a self serve restaurant where the only service was at the till and was again insulted because I didn't tip. Prepare to be insulted if you don't tip the minimum.
- The staff at Disney generally aren't as good as they were a few years ago imo. The new buzzword seems to be to refer to you as 'friend' but they're more officious than they used to be imo.
- Prices in Orlando seemed to be to be cheaper than the UK a few years ago - not now. And the prices in Disney shops in particular are high.
- When visiting Universal, be prepared to be told you can'tt take any bags or backpacks on most rides and that it needs to go in a locker. There are free lockers but they're very small, forcing people to hire a bigger one at a cost of $3 per 30 mins. And the locker rooms on the busier rides were chaos.

If you are planning to visit Orlando plan for 10 days.
If you are planning to visit Orlando plan for 10 days. There are 2 different parks Universal Studios. This has roller-coaster rides which youngsters can enjoy. Disney world has more of stimulation rides which kids can enjoy. Make choice carefully as both the parks are at different and at different location. Orlando has a good shopping dedicated shopping area wherein it takes 2 days min to search options and purchase. Day 1 goes in window shopping and day 2 is for actual purchases. One can plan rest in between the hectic days if required. Orlando has lot more activities apart from Parks which can be visited. Lyft and Uber facilities are good however I will recommend Lyft as it gets connected with Forex cards specially beneficial for International travelers. Uber app can be connected with own country cards wherein cost of forex exchange is extra to pocket.

Orlando is an amazing place to visit, the sun all year round, the activities to do outside of Disney and universal are also exceptional, the array of different foods and live shows to enjoy are also brilliant, and if that’s not enough, you have universal studios and Disney to visit.

Orlando is a very beautiful place.
Orlando is a very beautiful place. If you are looking for scenery it is the place to go but if you are there for the attractions, ( ie, seaworld, disney world, Universal Studio) have plenty of money on hand. If I known that I would have to pay such an exorbitant fee just to park in the parking lot I would not have gone. Doy our research and buy your tickets online if possible. I could have save 50% on my fee had I done that. If there were ever going to be an next time, which I truly doubt, I will check online for cheaper tickets before hand. It is very expensive for one person. Save up your money if you are not well off.
I really liked this hotel. We stayed here at the beginning and end of our holiday in Florida. It is about 25 minutes from the airport and has plenty of parking. It’s a 10 minute drive to Universal and the Premium Outlet. There are tonnes of chain restaurants within walking distance. The room itself was really big and spacious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom is clean and has Dove products. I would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it. We did not have breakfast included so I can’t comment on that.
Clean clean clean and smelled fresh throughout the lobby! Near so many eateries and a gas station with a great sub sandwich made to order deli in Wawa’s…buffet walking distance, Steak ‘n Shake and a Disney shop if u need shirts etc.
Helpful staff Angel gives so much helpful information…thank you to housekeeping for always keeping the hotel clean and our rooms were done everyday!
Near Disney world, SeaWorld and universal studios everything 10-20 min away….20min from airport…so great thank you Fairfield!
This was literally the most amazing hotel I've ever stayed at. It truly felt like a home away from home. The room had absolutely everything we needed and everything was beautiful. The pool was great, and we love the outdoor patios to sit in. They accommodated our request for ground floor due to traveling with someone with a disability, and it also accommodated our late arrival and were amazing about everything. I want to go back to Florida just to stay at this hotel again!
It was like a trip back in time representing another era of American travel in old Florida. The foyer an ornate decor with tiffany lamps, dark wood, carpets…not for travelers who want modern luxury, but for those who want a taste of the past in historic Winter Park. The hotel has been there for generations. The rooms still have creaky floors but have been updated enough to provide for basic needs: new AC, hot water and good pressure in shower, comfortable bed.
We live in Florida and had a very early flight the next day so we were only there to save us from a longer trip in the morning. The hotel was very nice and walking distance to several eating establishments. The airport shuttle was on time for a very short trip to the terminal. Our one night stay included parking for our vehicle for up to 10 days for only about $10/day, half of what it would have cost at the airport!
This has been one of our favorite hotels for years; we stayed there right before we purchased our dream home in Florida 8 yrs ago and this past January they welcomed us back on my birthday! We had fun! Like the view of the pool from every room we've stayed in there; like the staff as they are friendly and helpful; love the full kitchen in suite we book and the jacuzzi tub is my fav! Thanks!
Great villa/apartment with excellent facilities and right next to pool/hot tub and gym. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. About 10 to 15 minutes drive to Universal Studios. 20 minutes from Orlando Airport. An hour from Kennedy Space Centre, 1/2 hour from Kissimee and Disney, 2 hours from Tampa.
Need a car to get around, but car hire at the airport (pre-booked) is very reasonable.
Nice lobby with coffee in am. Super size King Suite with sofa and King Bed was a surprise for the price we paid on boking.com. Tried to book an additional night but hotel had added $100 Resort fee and that is kinda steep as it is not a Resort only a Hotel with a nice gym and decent pool. Next to Florida mall and was conveniently located for shopping 🛍
Nice place, good price, good location for the Universal Studios Parks, and they can even talk portuguese, the place is organized, the best Hotel I've been to in Orlando, place is very clean, so the room too, good internet, so sad the breakfast was not included, and you have to ask them to clean the room, but is a COVID thing, maybe this is temporary.
I received an upgrade on my room . There was a water taxi to take to two parks and two different hotels or you could walk to all of them . The hotel had more charges like parking valet for 42.00 or you can self park for 32.00 dollars . there is a resort fee of 40.00 . Pool was not heated . which being in florida it does can cold sometimes .
One of the best hotels in Orlando! Coming from someone with an annual pass to Disney World! This hotel provides great customer service & yummy breakfast. Very pleased with the no parking fee & no hotel fee as every hotel in Orlando has either both or one. Thank you Barbara for checking up on our stay every day! Kudos Hilton! ⭐️
The beds were SUPER comfy. Might be the best beds I've ever slept on! The showers/water pressure was amazing! Very warm! The staff was nice & I felt like they put in as much effort as they could. The hotel's about 15 minutes away from the International Airport as well as from the metro area of Orlando; just an FYI
Location the hotel is 20 minutes from the airport, 4 minutes to SeaWorld parks, and 15-20min to Disney and universal studio. The room was wide and comfortable. The staff were helpful. Wi-Fi was very good. The breakfast was good. Check in and check out were express. the hotel contains laundry service as well.
Staff was pleasant. Hotel was neat and clean. Rooms are spacious. Breakfast was reasonable. They allowed early checkin. Location is near international drive and not too far from universal. A 7-eleven, walgreens and ihop are close by at international drive.
location was ok for International Drive and Universal, not for Disney though. Staff were friendly, they could use some information about stuff around them: buses to frequented places, an uber service for the hotel.
rooms are nice and there is free parking facility. daily housekeeping was the reason i booked the hotel which is very rare in Florida. staff are very cooperative and supportive. near to international drive.
Well located for the main parks.
Shuttle bus from Hotel to Disney, Universal and Disney Springs.
Friendly Staff.
Good Facilities.
Short walk to Crowne Plaza for lots of restaurants
Very good location for Universal Resort Orlando, the hotel provides a shuttle bus twice a day. We had very comfy beds, but windows to the highway. Staff was helpful.
