We chose to stay at this hotel for the location being close to the Cruise terminal. It is conveniently located off the service road. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We were located on the 1st floor close to the dining lounge area and pool! LOVED IT! Even after I left the hotel I had Amazon packages that were showing up after I had left Griselda C. the Manager worked diligently with me to ensure I received my packages. The entire staff was super friendly. Really enjoyed the breakfast (the sausage :-)) and hot, hot coffee. This will be my location for Galveston stays moving forward!

Did not know until check out that I was charged
$15 per day for parking on the hotel property. This was not disclosed when the room was booked and the total charged was quoted. Not sure where you would park other than hotel parking lot. That was a rip off. Should have been included in room rate. Won’t book there again for that reason

I loved the atmosphere of it.
I loved the atmosphere of it. The main road is along the beach. The pier was really neat! I disliked have to pay 15 at every stop to park, just to run into a store to but souvenirs or to eat at a restaurant.

Everything was great.
Everything was great. I just didn’t like that you have to pay to park. But other than that everything was great. They had breakfast every morning for regular diet and if you didn’t want a lot of calories. There places to eat close. They also had a bar onsite. The best part was the beach was right across the street. When you go talk to Jessica she was the greatest help.

We love Galveston.
We love Galveston. We stayed down in the quiet area this time. It was so nice to have the beach to ourselves. We were able to walk to Jimmy's on the Pier. I highly recommend this restaurant for the food....try to red snapper. Oh so delicious. After you eat you can walk out on the pier and hang out.
We've eaten at The Spot. Sit outside to eat and drink and watch the waves roll in.
We also found the food at Float Pool and Patio Bar to be excellent and very affordable. We were there on a Thursday afternoon for the live music from 4-7 pm.
We enjoyed 23rd Street Station Piano Bar. The music was fun and the drinks were cheap. Great for our wallet.
Lots of fun things to do in Galveston.

If you're looking for cruise ship parking and are...
If you're looking for cruise ship parking and are considering using the Scottish Inns at 928 Ferry Rd, DON'T. Not only is the hotel a #^%# hole, your vehicle is not safe in their parking lot. My vehicle was vandalized while we were on our cruise. We parked where the Scottish Inn person told us to. If you have a problem, they won't call you back. Terrible service!!

Conveniently accessible but DIRTY beaches.
Conveniently accessible but DIRTY beaches. Tons of mosquitos after rain that were absolutely savage. Great people and architecture. Had it's ups and downs. Easy to get around town. Partner loved the pleasure pier rides.
The view of the ocean was great, and the location was good. Not as busy as the more touristy area to the east. Our room was very large, and spacious.
Breakfast included was super. Pretty busy at breakfast time, but we managed to have a table every day. There was a pair of people who I would consider to be food hoarders, which disturbed me a bit, because of the wastefulness of it. It costs the hotel money which eventually gets passed down to the more considerate people in the end.
My travel partner and I decided to do a vacation trip of all the costal cities and we started in Galveston at the Beachfront Palms. I paid a little extra for what the hotel calls a partial view of the ocean. Seriously, it's all the view one needs. I took the room on the 4th floor because I'm a photographer and I wanted an unobstructed of the ocean. lol.. The 4th floor put me in line with the tops of trees and electric polls ..;)
I always stay at this Hotel. Once every 3 weeks on average. I've developed a good report with many of the staff their.
I always look forward to seeing the front desk staff, they know me now after becoming a regular. The bartenders, and their available "Ecuadorian Man Slave" which is an unknown feature at this hotel!
Seriously, I cant wait till I come back to Hilton Galveston. I truly is like coming home for me!
This was a very nice change to the hotel rooms that we normally get when we come to Galveston. The villa was very nice. It is a bit out outdated but it was still very nice, and heck my home is outdated too so it is no worries for me. It is in a convenient location and the view from the deck is amazing. having the 1/2 bath downstairs was very nice as well. Will definitely stay again.
It's a destination hotel, so it's very convenient, being connected with Moody Gardens and close to anything else worth going to on Galveston. The room was plain and simple but clean and in good maintenance and had exactly everything you would want in a hotel room, and good quality. There is a Keurig in the room so I suggest bringing some of your own k cups.
The hotel is very quiet and almost directly on the beach. The facility is very spacious and offers everything you need. We especially like to highlight the hospitality of April from the front desk. We had forgotten something in the hotel and April has answered immediately and even sent us the item by mail! thank you very much again for this!
THE best breakfast. Personal service from all 3 staff and the property owner Graham. Enjoyed having a nightcap in the lovely hotel bar each night. Enjoyed having a coffee on the porch overlooking the well kept grounds. Rosie was super helpful bringing us coffee and refilling water and toiletries in our room.
I liked the convenient location of the hotel and Galveston was really a nice place. My room was clean and was a nice value. No problem with our room whatsoever. Check in was easy, staff was pleasant. Breakfast was good too.
I loved how clean and spacious the room was, the staff, and I loved that the room didn't have that musty smell that so many hotels in Galveston have. This room smelled great, looked great, and was great!
Location was good, room was okay. It did look a little bit worn but it was clean and the bed was decent. Everyone is trying to weather the financial storm and I am sure the hotel industry is no different.
The location of the hotel was nice, right on the beach with easy access. The price was nice being we where there for the beach and would not be spending much time in the hotel except to shower and sleep.
The rooms are large and comfortable. The hotel is pretty. The staff is so friendly helpful. The breakfast and social meal were both excellent. This will be where I stay whenever I come to Galveston.
I love this hotel! the atmosphere, the decor, the friendly staff. the remodeling looks amazing. have stayed here before and will continue to be my hotel of choice when visiting Galveston
I have stayed in this hotel when it was LaQuinta for 20+ years. This time I kinda expected a little more? I don't know why? It is convenient and I know my way around the pool
