Great location, with the casino on the main floor and something like 24 floors so if you were on the right side you might have a good view of the cozy casino town. Unfortunately mine faced the concrete but my room was so very nice I wasn’t worried about the view. The staff were super helpful and offered to assist me with my luggage. The casino and the dealers and wait staff were all friendly, helpful, and easy-going.

Terribly filthy room. Breakfast, better to just offer complimentary water. An experience I don't want again. The photos don't do the place justice.

Central City surprised me in so many ways.

Central City surprised me in so many ways. I thought it was just going to be a podunk, distressed little casino town. It was actually pretty diverse, cultured, and full of interesting history, including stories of celebrated women and POC. There aren't many hotels, but if you're lucky enough to stay in a bed and breakfast, the ones I know of are walking distance from the casinos and antique shops. There's also a well-known opera house. I'm glad I stayed in Central City instead of Black Hawk. It has character and hiking trails.

Central City is such an interesting and beautiful place to visit. So much history and fun small town to walk around in. Much of the town is about the casinos but if you take some time to see the rest you will enjoy your stay.

Did not have much time to explore Central City on this trip.

Did not have much time to explore Central City on this trip. We went to the Dillon Ice Castles and had plans to stop in Central City on the way home (Colorado Springs) to do some gambling and spend the night after a long day of exploration in Dillon. Plans got altered and we did not spend time in the city part, but observed many quaint shops on the way back to I-70. The Nicki Lee Mansion was comfortable and Nikki is a nice host.

Our Bed and Breakfast was lovely. The town was historic.

Our Bed and Breakfast was lovely. The town was historic. The people were friendly, the public restrooms very clean. Our only issue was, most dining was only available in a casino, especially after 7 pm. Street food was available during the Hot Rod Hill Climb event during the day....
