This historic home is absolutely stunning. But it’s once you’re inside that you’re in for a treat. Every bit of wall, and even the ceilings are covered in art. It’s kitschy. It’s eccentric. It’s eclectic. It’s awesome in its scope. And clean as can be. Not a speck of dust. Quite impressive. We had hardy, delicious Cajun breakfasts each morning in the formal yet comfortable dining room. No need for another meal until late afternoon or early evening. Lots to see and do in this area of Cajun country. We were a quick drive away from all of our day excursions. Upon return, this house felt very welcoming and we slept quite soundly in our beds.

    I have been visiting Abbeville for many years, and I have fallen in love with the place. Abbeville has a very subtle and quaint charm, of course, depending on where you go, but I like the small town affect, old school feel, and some places in downtown have some very great places to dine, once you find them. I just have to say, Abbeville is really a small jewel, with a great down south feel!! And just down the road, HWY 14 is Rip Van Winkle Gardens. Great history, great culture and they have a nice bed and breakfast. BUT, you have to love old history. Look into it, go see, and find the way people lived, back in the day!! Have a great time. I did!!
