Location! Location! Location! Close to the beach and restaurants. The staff was super nice. We traveled with the dog and didn’t need room service too often but the housekeeping staff were leaving a set of fresh towels and toiletries on the door handle every single day.

Our room was very nice . Great beds and convenient location. On the last night we had (new neighbors ) that were very loud . Told the desk staff and they actually moved those noisy guests to a different room ! Impressive staff !
The lobby could use a refresh but when we checked in to our room. .. no complaints!

For the first time I didn't like staying in Tranquilo. There were couple of Cubans (or other latinos) who were disturbing everyone with extremely loud latino music for 3 days. Management did nothing to provide peaceful stay to non-latino customers. This is huge discrimination knowing that Florida is not a latino country and that everyone do not want to be forcefully exposed to latino music. (disgusting behavior of latino customers)

Fort Lauderdale is a hidden gem. Its very nice and calm but still offering nice activities and life. The Las Olas is a very beautiful street and the area called "little Venice" is magical. The Fort Lauderdale beach is must as there are plenty activities to enjoy near the huge coastline of the beachfront.

Easily walkable ..
Didn’t like the busy roads after travelling north of Florida in quieter areas.
Parking can be expensive along the beach areas.

I love the area, with the style & ambience of miami a-bit-further south, but without the crowds nor the over-the-top lifestyle --- the number of mid-age & older gay white men to meet ✓all-around broward county, not just in the adjacent wilton-manors & oakland-park areas, is good 😉

The bathroom was dirty.
The bathroom was dirty. There was mold under the vanity and inside the shower under the soap shelf. The bath tub had black marks on the side.
The hot breakfast was the only good thing about our stay.

I was here to embark a cruise. I had one full day free between arrival and departing. I had visited Everglades previously and am not a big fan of beaches, so i found a limited number of things to do. I took a water taxi -spent about 3 hours on it - and enjoyed walking in Los Olas.

Everything was really nice, they could offer a complimentary breakfast like other hotels, not just coffee. And when working in job like motel work staff should be able to understand the customer. I ask a housekeeper a question, she told me she doesn't speak English.Nothing against it we have all races in the US, some English should be understood.

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at this Fort Lauderdale hotel for a family trip, and it exceeded all our expectations. The location is superb, with easy access to the beach and fantastic restaurants. The hotel itself is clean, and the multiple pools added a refreshing touch to our stay. What truly set this experience apart was the extraordinary staff – their friendliness and helpfulness made our trip memorable. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a perfect blend of location, cleanliness, and exceptional service!"
Excellent location, comfortable bed, hot shower and excellent service - these are what's important to me and this hotel ticked every box. I had a very relaxing stay here. Its 5 minutes' walk to the beach and about the same to the restaurant area.
The kitchen area of my room was fully equipped and I was able to cook meals sometimes.
Denise and Valentina on reception went out of their way to make sure my stay was perfect.
I booked Horizon based on customer reviews. I'm glad I did. I would happy return.
Hotel was very clean, breakfast was good, location was fine as we arrived from the airport and headed out to a cruise next day. The area around the hotel itself is a little sketchy in the fact there's a homeless camp close by but other than that it was a 10 minute walk to Las Olas Blvd. They have a neat bar area by the pool on the 5th floor. We went to a neat little restaurant called Here & Now which was only 100 yards from the front entrance, well worth trying
Would recommend this place
I booked this property because it had free shuttle from Fort Lauderdale airport to motel AND free shuttle to Port Everglades. Beds were comfy and had a variety of pillows. My kids used the pool and we enjoyed spending time there. Even though it is in the middle of highways & freeways, it was quiet and felt like it was not easily accessible to public. There were some cute photo opportunities with giant beach chair, alligator, turtle, and several other statues.
The view and location were amazing. The price was a bit higher than expected, considering our room wasn’t exactly on the beach, walking distance to the main strip is still a bit lengthy, and the cleanliness in the room and around the hotel could’ve used some work. There were unidentifiable crumbs/dirt on top of the couch and in corners of the room. Otherwise a great stay and convenient amenities!
Everything was great. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend the North Beach Hotel to anyone that was in search of a place on Fort Lauderdale Beach. Great location, walking distance (1 block) to the beach. Restaurants and bars are all walkable and it is a short Uber/Taxi to Las Olas Blvd.
This was the perfect place to stay while we were in Fort Lauderdale. Easy to walk to restaurants & bars & also a 25 minute walk to the beach. The apartment had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The owners were easy to communicate with and were very helpful. The pool area was an oasis of calm next to the lovely marina. We would highly recommend.
Old style (1950s) Florida Motel. Clean, with helpful staff. The price was very reasonable considering you are in the Fort Lauderdale Beach area. Ate at a nice little restaurant recommended by the hotel clerk, expensive but good food and service. And the motel and restaurant are in a quaint area with other shops, etc.
The location was everything. Ten minutes away from the beach. Stores and food right next door. The early morning breakfast was good. Staff was good. The hotel have a shuttle that pick you up from airport and drop you off. Refrigerator and Microwave was available. Also out door pool area with a wheel chair elevator.
The room was very clean - for a cheap Florida motel I am impressed that there were no bugs or roaches at all. The hotel was quiet, hotel staff were friendly, hot water/ice machine were functional. The area and hotel itself seemed safe. The hotel is located close to both the beach and the airport.
Very good service from the hotel manager. The hotel is being renovated so consider it to be up & coming, but the older room I was in was certainly comfy and clean, and it stayed cool in the Florida summer. The pool area is very nice, the grounds are well kept, and it's very close to the beach
Nice area close to the beach. Good restaurants very close by. Lovely pool. Comfy room. Clean. Friendly and helpful owner Kris. Lauderdale by the sea is less commercial than the main Fort Lauderdale which is a 10 min drive away.
Staff was finally friendly (after so many unfriendly other hotels employees), room spacious, location 10am from FLL airport. Breakfast included that was a plus, with a buffet rather than limited options.
The only thing good is that hotel is near airport. Ah, another good point attendant was good. Objective, patient and sympathetic. Importante, at least inside room every thing was clean.
The motel was within minutes of the Fort Lauderdale Airport. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower worked fine. The price was excellent!
