I came in off Royal Princess Cruise ship after 19 sea nights. I loved the location, the hot tub and body products, the ice bucket provided for my 1996 Grande Dame Veuve Clicquot and the high floor view overlooking Yokohama harbour and several cruise ships. I could also see fireworks from China town as I sipped my champagne.
The bidet is a nice warm experience as you sit on a hot comfy toilet seat.
I liked the pjs provided for me but they won’t fit you if you are bigger than a size 12 Australian sizing ladies.. the mini bar fridge is not cold but I managed to get someone to take the fridge plate out and fix it as I was paying just over $450 Australian per night x 3 nights. So I expected a cold mini fridge
I have stayed in Hyatts all over the world and the Hyatt in Yokohama is lovely. I had originally booked a corner suite by the recommendation of a telephonist but paid extra to get a king deluxe suite. After my own research found out the other suites had better views. The safe is quite lengthy and wide. The bathroom shower has excellent pressure. The hot tub is just that. A tub. If you have average to long legs you definitely can’t stretch your legs out. It’s a tub built for one. I still enjoyed the hot tub my heart rate was 98/146 after my bath. It triggered something. I really liked the turn down service I ordered on a couple of nights. It was like having two delightful fairies fly in and get down to business tidy up and replace anything required and fly out . Incredible and wonderful.

The hotel was close to a train station which made travel easy. The bed was comfortable. Nothing extravagant, but great for a short stay. We rode a bus from Haneda airport to the station which cost 900 yen per passenger.

We (family of three adults) booked indivdiual rooms in the Grace Hotel because we arrrived in Haneda airport in the evening, and wanted to spend the evening having our own personal space to adjust and get some sleep after the long flight. Another key factor is that we were planning to take the Shinkansen to Kyoto the following afternoon, which is why we even looked at Shin-Yokohama. For these purposes, Grace Hotel was absolutely amazing. The rooms were comfortable, the AC/heat units were modern and effective, the hotel was right next to the Shinkansen station, and there was an abundance of amenities within a block of the hotel (the train station's "food corridor" entrance was literally right across from the Hotel's side entrance, the Hotel was adjacent to a Daily Yamazaki Konbini (there was a 7Eleven in the mall/hotel across the street, but it was smaller and more of a walk). There was also an assortment of western Fast Food (Wendy's and McDonalds at least) within 100 yards of the hotel, which was good for one of our party who needed some familiar comfort food.

It’s my 2nd stay at this property. This time i brought my family as my previous stay was overall OK. I think the location isn’t so bad. The price isn’t so bad, too. The room size is OK unless the group has a lot of bags.

We were there for the beginning of Golden week. Lots of people holidaying on the first weekend. It was quieter through the week.
The gardens were in full bloom around the city and very clean.
The waterfront was clean and many flower gardens a relaxed atmosphere.
Prices for food and transport were reasonable often less expensive than expected.
The hop on off bus was good but limited at stopping at museums and places of interest.
The trains were easy to use always asked. We saved the routes to phone and showed people. Who could read English but not able to express it.
We caught the city bus to Sankeiein Gardens. Showed bus driver where going and he told us where to get off.
The trains and buses have English destinations - next stop as they rolled over on the indication board.
The Sankeiein Gardens were peaceful and had a free English guide. Jim who did a fantastic roll with communication and he enjoyed what he gave as a volunteer.
We ate mostly in the underground resturants eateries with lots of choices. Less than 500 metres from our accommodation at the Shereton.
Overall as over 70's independant travellers we found it easy to travel around Yokohama if you take your time with language and have planned where you want to go. Our advice is ride with the tide. Be patient and understanding. Don't travell in the rush hour before 10 and and after 3pm.

Yokohama is a nice place to travel and explore.
Yokohama is a nice place to travel and explore. It is smaller than the big neighbour Tokyo but this gives it its charm. Great places are Yokohama station, Minato Mirai, Sakuragicho and Shinko. In Sakuragicho you can take the cable car to Shinko which is a great area to walk around, eat, drink and shop. The Red Brick warehouse is also situated there, where they host events all year round and you can find unique souvenir shops and restaurants.
Yokohama station at first it may feel crowded but the moment you get out of the station things relax. Inside the station itself you can find many shopping opportunities and lots of good restaurants with delicious food. Minato Mirai and Sakuragicho are fantastic places if you like walking by the sea, eat well, have a good cup of coffee and enjoy your time. The cup noodles museum is also located there which is definitely worth a visit to have some fun for an hour and create your own cup of noodles.

We stayed at the MinatoMirai which is walking distance to most of the attractions like the pier district, museums and Chinatown.
Totally different from Tokyo, much more relaxed and the pier district was wonderful!
There was also a yummy anchovy based ramen near the Yokohama Station .... can't remember what it was but it was yummy!
So many attractions and interesting places to explore. Totally recommend a few days exploring Yokohama.

Yokohama is a city brimming with interesting places to visit, delicious food to sample, and history to learn. Not only that, but I’ve spent a lot of time in Japan, and no where else did I find such friendly people!
My favorite bite was at Central Burger off the Ishikawacho stop. They serve an amazing American style smash burger that they’ve made completely their own. I had to leave the states to find a burger THAT GOOD.
I was sorry to leave this great city.

Yokohama, a gem among the cities I've visited, truly encapsulates the essence of a modern yet culturally rich urban landscape. The city's charm lies not only in its stunning architecture and well-planned layout but also in the warmth and friendliness of its people, a trait synonymous with Japanese hospitality. Strolling through Yokohama, one cannot miss the iconic landmarks that define its skyline – the majestic Sail Training Ship Nippon Maru, a beacon of the city's maritime heritage, and the towering Ferris wheel that offers breathtaking views. The city is also a sanctuary for those seeking a blend of modernity and tradition, with its numerous temples and historical sites providing a tranquil escape. Every culinary experience here was a delight; the restaurants in Yokohama go above and beyond to offer exceptional service, ensuring each meal is not just about the exquisite Japanese cuisine but also about the overall dining experience. This harmonious blend of urban sophistication and cultural richness makes Yokohama an unforgettable destination.
I loved my stay at Hotel Unizo! It was just a short 5 min walk from Yokohama station with plenty of things to do, eat, and see around the area of the hotel as well. I don’t speak any Japanese, but the staff was so kind and did their best to help me understand all the hotels procedures. My room was good and clean and the air conditioning worked nicely. I had everything I needed during my stay and will definitely consider staying here again if I am ever in Yokohama!
Very cool hotel, somewhat hidden away on a side street, with an austere, elegant feel. Bedroom was a huge low futon on a step-up in a tatami room. All black with a white bed. Shower/bath tub Japanese style, which was very enjoyable. Very private and quiet. A great section of Yokohama, with lots going on outside, with some fun restaurants. Wonderful spot that we hope to return to.
The property was a simple but clean and reasonable modern budines hotel. The building looked and felt new. The room was small but that is very normal for similar hotels in Japan. Clean bathroom. I was only the room to sleep which I did well. Decent location. Less than 10 mins from Sakuragicho station and the bars and izakaya of Noge
This hotel is superb. The staff were so very friendly and helpful. We had a corner room in the tower with magnificent views north and east. The room was very spacious and comfortable. This was our last night in Japan after 24 days and it was a wonderful ending. The limousine bus to Haneda Airport leaves just from across the road.
I ran out of time to have Japan Rail FedEx my Japan Rail passes so I had to send them to a Japanese address and I chose the hotel aft asking them. Without asking they communicated with me several times and also when they arrived. Service above and beyond what I expected… thank you. and the location couldn’t have been better.
Right above shin yokohama station. Good location right at the shin yokohama station. Rooms are clean and really quiet, u can tell that the hotel was built perfectly to avoid noise and gives you comfort. You can’t even hear people talk or walking outside. Breakfast buffet was really good! Room have view of mt. Fuji
The room was larger than some Japanese hotel rooms, was very well equipped, had comfortable large beds and a good bathroom. The staff were very helpful with enquiries and with pre-booking a taxi to Haneda Airport for 0530. I strongly recommend this hotel in Yokohama.
This brand new hotel is one of the best experiences I had in Japan. Great location at Yokohama. We can see Mt. Fuji from our room. The room is clean and spacious. The electric blind is excellent. Woke up, pressed the button and you can see Mt. Fuji on your bed!
The room is much bigger than the average Japanese hotel room with the beautiful bay view. Comfortable bed and pillows. Overall the hotel is very clean. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Great restaurant on the 19th floor with delicious food.
The room was spacious compared to other similar standard hotels in Japan. It was also clean and simple. The staff was also attentive to the details of my reservation. The room was also quiet and very comfortable to work in.
We had a wonderful stay here. The room was clean, the service was great . And it’s close by the main subway station and lots of shopping area behind the hotel. The location is excellent for first time Yokohama stay .
Did not include the breakfast
And we paid double price compare Japanese
After we stop the hotel . check in thay said this room are no phone and no Air conditioning
it was horrible service .
Everything about this hotel was of extremely high standard . Room was surprisingly large by usual standard in Japan . We were taking a cruise from Yokohama and hotel was a very short taxi ride .
location was very nice
one female Japanese staff was really kind and tried to help even though hotel management is so poorly organized that she could not solve the problem .
Facilities are very new, great sound insulation. Bed and pillow are very conducive for a good night's rest. Room size is bigger than most hotels in Japan. Location is good.
